- St. Xavier University has closed until further notice after two threatening graffiti messages were found at a freshman dorm. The latest promised people would die on Monday.
- Malcolm X College on Chicago's West Side has been evacuated after a written threat was found on campus.
Chicago police explosives experts and their bomb-sniffing dogs raced to the West Side campus late Monday morning. A threatening message found inside a bathroom stall had prompted the action, along with the evacuation of some 900 students who were attending classes.
Threats of violence on one college campus have left several other Chicago schools closed for the day.
The schools closed Monday are Mother McAuley High School, Brother Rice High School, Queen of Martyrs Elementary School and Evergreen Park Southwest Elementary.

The administrators at these schools are some dumb mother fuckers! Obvious prank. The instigator(s) is laughing his ass off. I hope he gets caught.
I sat down to drop the kids off at the pool, and, low and behold, there was a threat on the stall door! Does this mean that CPD is closed till further notice?
Real good move xavier.. Instead of just adding more security and letting life go on, you've created a monster. You've now let a most probable prank shutdown all schools in the area. Odds are a nut-case planning a killing spree isn't going to tell you their plan ahead of time. I think your cowardly move will earn you about the same amount of respect as the french. I dont know how reliable this is, but the news said that Malcom X was OPEN for evening classes on Monday night!!! "Open for classes" ?? since this is a city-owned facility WHOSE decision was that ? Hmmmm, IF something terrible were to happen, WHO would be to blame because school was open??? AND were all the students made aware of the situation when they showed up for class, and given the option to go home???
Do you remember when they COMPLETELY shut down O'hare airport several years ago because a passenger ran through a secure doorway! People were stranded for hours, made to wait outside. Planes were grounded. The airport came to a standstill Because of one dumb asshole. Can you say knee jerk???

I was at Malcolm X yesterday and was leaving the building at around 1000hrs maybe 1015hrs...saw 4 squad cars in front of building...then saw PO with a dog...HMMMMM I said to myself...curiouser and curiouser, could something be wrong? Never were we notified that the school was being evacuated.

The best part of it was, that the race baiting, white hating, no real job having, poverty pimps made their way to Mount Greenwood, and then had a talk in front of SXU. Of course ALL of the liberal news rags and stations gave these jerk offs a forum, and a light on the camera, and then filmed their collective spew.
Blah, blah, blah, blah… “We need to have dialogue”. The dialogue, of course, is about the need for stricter gun laws. So what did we learn from this situation? That the phrase “we need to have dialogue” is the ghetto way to express the need for communication, but in saying it the new ghetto way, it really makes you sound like you’re an educated person speaking. Kind of like…”allow me to colon-ate while I pontificate, about the subject of race and hate”. We also learned that poverty pimps and the media have no shame (loyal readers of SCC ALREADY know this) and that stricter gun laws will be the cure all to the problems we are having.
On a side note, calls to 911 Center tripled, as all of the residents in the area had been warned to report any suspicious behavior or people during the implementation of Lil’ Dick Daley’s $2,000,000.00 dollar automated telephone warning system (that a cousin owned, and a friend was a consultant for). Call takers were flooded with calls of “a black man in a colorful/maroon/yellow suit is looking in the yards and gangways”.
Of course you can expect an even larger flock of play reverends, and even the mighty Father Michael “Yo-yo-yo-yo, call me Rabbit” Phleger come back after r the shit his the fan – and everyone finds out that they are looking for a female, black as the person who provided us with the threat, the closing of several schools, and the copy cat who followed suit at the Malcolm X community college. Then it will be a real swarm of media drool, apologies, and how whitey forced this poor should to commit this sham.
Oh, and that is fact. Based on the handwriting analysis, the spelling, and the grammar, Latanya from the west side, who is going to school here on the cheap, well she wrote the remarks.

To be fair, Sisters of Mercy is the presiding rule over Xaviers, Bro. Rice and McAuley, and all three are located on the same campus. Queen of Martyrs is less than a block away from the campus. The only closing that doesn't make sense is EP Southwest (they probably just wanted to fit in).
The Malcolm X debacle, on the other hand, is just some future-dropout thinking it could get out of a day of class. The school already has metal detectors and searches, so why did a baseless threat even matter? And really, who cares? What next? So are the ghettos that kill each other that happen to be going to a city college going to be included in the CPS dead count now too?

There was a graffiti threat at Northern Illinois University in December and classes were cancelled for one day. At the time, my husband (CPD for 22 years) said it was a prank -- some _ _ _ _ _ _ who didn't want to take a test. And that very well may have been. Two months later, well...I don't need to tell you what happened. As the mom of an NIU student and four other children, I'd rather have my child miss a day of school than have a moron take his or her life.
Furthermore, I think we all know that the administrators of these fine private institutions would rather cancel classes than face lawsuits when little Johnny or Susie is gunned down by aforementioned moron. The families of the slain Virginia Tech students received settlements of $11 million. Which would you rather have $11 million or your child? Let's also not forget the emotional trauma associated with surviving.
Maybe these are all pranks but let's err on the side of caution for our kids.

DAMN J-FED LET US KNOW ABOUT THE NEW SCHOOL TERRORIST PLAN.
AT WALSH SCHOOL (2301 S. PEORIA)TODAY A RIGGED FIRE EVACUATION WAS SET UP BY THE DEPARTMENT.
SIX UNMARKED AND 1 MARKED UNIT WERE PUT DOWN FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS. FIRE WAS ALSO PRESENT.
THE KIDS WERE EVACUATED, WHEN THE TEACHERS WOULD LEAD THE KIDS OUT OFFICER WOULD SNATCH RANDOM KIDS WITHOUT THE TEACHERS KNOWLEDGE.
THE TEACHERS WOULD DO A HEAD COUNT OUTSIDE AND GUESS WHAT KIDS WERE MISSING. SOME TEACHER HAD NO CLUE FOR AT LEAST A HALF AN HOUR. THE TEACHERS WERE DUMBFOUNDED AND THE SCHOOLS WALKIE-TALKIES DIDNT WORK.
