Bears Open Thread

Chicago, Green Bay and Minnesota all tied at 3 wins - 3 loses.

Somewhere Pete Rozelle is laughing.

As a side note, the Blackhawks lost in another shootout after giving up the tying goal with 11 seconds left, thereby ruining the coaching debut of Quenneville. So it's three more games before they have to fire him and look for another coach. God help us if it's Pulford again.

Dear Fuckstick,

If you had simply published the initials of the DA who had raised your ire, it would have gone through without a second thought. We aren't here to do IAD's job for them. If you want to be an IAD suckass and fuck coppers bareback, join up. Otherwise, go back to your inflatable dude and the boys at Steamworks.

An E-mail sent to me from a friend. I too can attest to dealings with Judge Clay that will leave your wondering WTF...please post and pass on.

Dear Everyone,

I have been waiting for this day for 4 years. My name is Melissa Keefe. As most of you know, my husband Kevin was shot 8 1/2 years ago while on duty for the Chicago Police Department. The man who shot him, was subsequently freed by Judge Evelyn Clay. We spent about three years watching Judge Clay in her courtroom. After watching her over such a long period of time, I am begging you to vote 'NO' this November when you see her name on the ballot. She is not well-versed on the law, and often has to be corrected by other people in her courtroom. She is also very lax. Defendants with multiple convictions walk away from her courtroom with probation every day. It was truly horrific to watch her undermine the very laws that she has sworn to uphold. In addition, she let the man who shot Kevin go free.

I realize that the ballots list s o many judges, that it is hard to figure out who is who. I am just asking that you just remember one name, Evelyn Clay, and vote 'NO'.

I am not trying to be dramatic, but our safety is in jeopardy. We can make a difference!

Thank you for reading this. Please pass it on to everyone you know who can vote.

Melissa Keefe

The two-and-a-half hour drive home in my "new" 850 turbo was awesome . . . and the Bears were winning on the radio, too. It doesn't get much better.

To those that play the market, the low should be in the next few days if you wish to move to stocks in your 457 plan. The high should be 35 to 40 percent higher than the low. This should happen in 2009. All crashes have a 35 to 40 percent rise off their lows. 29-38-87. I have been putting in a few dollars to stocks the last few days and will do more this week. I will then sell sometime next year for at least a 20 percent gain. It is hard to get lows as you get the end of day prices.

The Tasty Baking Co. is here in Philly. Tastykakes are EVERYWHERE.

Butterscotch Krimpets are the best, but I rarely buy any kind of Tastykake at all. They're all sugar and fattening!

I didn't know you all got them in Chicago? If you don't have them and you want some, you can order them online or I can mail some.
