Another Happy Ending

Suburban police chase ends here. Ends happily, too:
  • A police chase that started in south suburban Calumet City ended when the vehicle being pursued crashed into a fence near a Far South Side McDonald's early Friday, killing two people and critically injuring three others.

The incident began when south suburban Calumet City police spotted a car that was reported stolen on the South Side of Chicago, and began chasing it after one occupant reportedly "flashed" a weapon, according to police.

At 1:30 a.m., the chase ended with the pursued vehicle crashing into a fence near a McDonald¹s at West 114th and South Halsted streets
Question - since the driver appears to have lived, is he charged with two counts of homicide? And do the homicides count against Chicago totals? And did the computer model predict the two homicides? Hmmmm.

According to the MINS, the 3 back seat passengers were ejected. The female DOA was decapitated. I wonder if any of them knew this was how their night was gonna end...

yep!!!
First thing:

if it's not ruled a death investigation due to a traffic accident then it will add the homicides to the 005th district total.

Area two !! We get it from all over..

And they still scream in our ears about what we're doing to stop it!!

Were is the feeking prediction for this incident..

As far as I could tell, that morning was clear, cool and dry..
Oh well!!

All investigations were handed over to CCPD. Chicago did a traffic crash report with a MA investigation. Not 005 that's 022. The car was taken in 004 in a car jacking. At least their bosses have some balls at let the chase go.

It will not be classified as a Homicde first degree Murder or second degree Murder
therefor it won t be a counter you need to learn what your talking about/. Charging and case reporting are two different things

Speaking about happy endings, thank you VICE for keeping Edison Park as clean as possible. Making an arrest for prostitution at a massage place on Harlem and Touhy. I know it appears as a Bull S**t arrest, but who knows what kind of a**holes go to this type of establishment. There are a lot of police families in EP with lots of kids. Good to see someone looking out for our own. Thanks for keeping the homefront clean.

The way I look at it, there was an instant finding of guilty right on scene followed by a sentencing of death for 3. As for the driver, he will meet the reaper hopefully on his next bout with the Police.

Unnecessary!!!! If those idiots would have crashed into a squad car or any other person involved in this event it would be a tragedy! Dont care about the bad guys, there are still othrrs out here! P.O. injured in 006 off duty in a similar incident, car chase for something other than a murder is too risky in a major city!!!!!!!

I saws the whole thing, They were way ahead of the police, the driver must of had a big head cause he drove with total disregard for his safety. He wasn't all there, he must have had his head in the clouds. They headed straight down that street at a head speed of about 60 mph, the car ending up flipping head over tails and I heard someone say look a head in the street. I dropped my headcheese sandwich and headed that way to observe the damage done due to a driver with headstrong determination to prevent the officers from getting a head for a traffic violation. After a while local residents headed out and a head in the crowd of officers said "someone call headquarters". An officer went over to the crashed vehicle and turned off the radio which was blaring music from the Talking Heads. I think the people in the car were cheese heads cause they had a Wisconsin license plate. A short time later the head detective from Major Accidents arrived. He was winded and looked a little lightheaded after canvasing the scene. As the officers related what happened the detective had to slow them down because they kept getting ahead of themselves. After the scene was cleared the detective and officers headed to the area to complete their paperwork. In route one officer had to relieve himself and stopped at a white castle to use the head. While completing their paperwork the detective sat at the head of the table and headed the investigation. The WC cleared any cars not involved cause headquarters wanted officers to bring in more heads. And if he didn't show numbers they would have his head.

Huh??? the two dead were in the car and most assuredly knew that it was stolen. Oh, I get it, they were on the way to the east coast to drop pookie off for his first year of medical school at Harvard. The tragic waste is that the owner of the car is gonna have jacked up insurance premiums because the asshole and his friends couldn't keep their hands off of something that didn't belong to them. Steal a car, go joyriding, and die after the police try to stop you for your wrongdoings and you engage the police in a chase...and this is a tragedy how ?????

8/21/2010 11:09:00 AM

It rolled up to a ficus plant under the drive-thru menu. An employee found it yesterday at 2030 hrs but the back-log in 022 meant the "Suspicious Object" job wasn't dispatched until 2200 hrs. An E.T. just finished taking photos about ten minutes ago.

We can only chase if Maggie Daley is kidnapped and in the truck.

No chases for this cowboy. Once you have been a defendant in a lawsuit it sort of chills your burning desire to go after bad guys.

I will be glad to do the crash report afterwards.

In one of Joseph Wambaugh's book he writes a scene of a decapitation in an auto accident. As the cars of onlookers are driving by, one of the onlookers asks the officer if anyone was hurt. The officer has the head of an accident victim behind his back and shows it to the onlooker. He then states" this one was banged up pretty good" or words to that effect.
