Question: is it appropriate to wear our dress blues to a CFD wake? I want to be respectful, but never have attended a CFD wake. Would seem appropriate to wear them out of respect. Anyone know the protocol?

Yes, that is appropriate, respectful and it is the protocol (of the past three I attended).

They will have the CPD line up together at some staging area - just follow alone.

I've done it... ...just think about it this way. We stand shoulder to shoulder with suburban and out-of-state officers when one of our own is murdered. Just another agency...

CFD is with us in their dress blues at our funerals

Father Nangle is a great man who is always there for police officers. Don't forget Rabbi Moshe Wolfe; another great man, who is also always there for us.
