RE: The criminal trial of PO Owsley of 017 in court right now.
I was with the IAD during the Owsley investigation. We cleared the officer of any crime and made the recommendation. The State’s Attorney then allowed the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office to substitute their opinion for ours.
The State’s Attorney pushed one CPD investigator to overstate the allegations to a Grand Jury so they’d return an indictment against Owsley.
The IAD investigation revealed that Owsley’s friend went to two lawyers to help him leave his estate to Owsley rather than to his estranged family.
The Illinois Attorney General also concluded Owsley committed no crime but the State’s Attorney’s office went ahead to frame Owsley instead.
Owsley needs to sue when this is over.
To the remaining officers who want to continue to work. This is the treatment you have in your near future, if you think we could still do real police work. stop the work and let the city go to sh#t. Then we will see how those liberals like their city.

I'm a Chicago Police officer but when I was a kid, I was a smartass. I had quite a few run in's with the Police then and met Mr. Maglight a few times too. So what, I grew up and I'm fine. This kid get's a couple of slaps in the face and they weren't even full swings. What, pray tell, do you think this kid has done before to others or has had done to him. The same type of people, mind you, that thought the mountain lion incident from a few years ago could have been handled with the nonexistent tranquilizer we keep in our back pocket. I remember the lady on the news, "A Cougar would never attack a child" were her exact words. And this little predator would never stick a gun in your face and rob you or beat you senseless for the money in your pocket, would he? The mindset is the same. You people who do not deal with these predators on a daily basis have no clue what they would do to you given the chance. So go ahead and fry this Sergeant but remember what you did when a predator decides to make prey of you.

how this case went to CCSA is the question. This incident should be a cr for excessive force, 5 day suspension and anger management, not Class X Felony. And people wonder why crime is on the up and the police do nothing? This is exactly why. We MUST be perfect, without emotion and NEVER loose our cool. In short, robots. the sgt or po's are foolish enough not to write paper on the incident.shithead spitting on you is commiting a battery(same as them kicking or trying to bite) and still means he's a low level assailant,regardless if handcuffed or not.you are allowed to use reasonable force to control the situatuion,ala open hand strikes or better yet direct mechanical strikes.20 minutes of paper probably would of saved most of this headache.He and mama still would of beefed anyway,but maybe just a CR instead of charges

Right... when I read that the guy was clearing his throat like he was about to spit I thought "That's it??!!?? That's not gonna be good enough!!!". I wonder who told him it was even ok to say that shit in court. These young ass punks are exactly that punks and know how to push your buttons to the point where you wanna slap the f@ck out of them. Um, actually higher and higher wages played a much larger part in this situation. Besides that most U.S. citizens believe that they are above many menial type jobs, hence the need for "illegals."
the problem is ''the community'' accepts criminal behavior. the police are foreign invaders.the urban terrorists are to roam free in the killing fields. to seriously address the problem...would require a ''self'' examination. remember..you re held to a high standard while some are held to none.

*** IAD had NOTHING to do with this investigation! *** This investigation is being pushed by shtheads aunt, a supervisor at IPRA, Alverez at CCSAO, and their "public integrity unit". Think of IAD however you want, but IAD has been on the Police Side during this investigation.
