I hope the officers are ok. Just read the article online suntimes about the southside narcotics team that had all the shootings. Hope whoever it was is ok!

WBBM Radio reports him hanging at the 95th Street "L" station "for the sixth time since he announced as a candidate -- every single person who ever goes through that station yells out his first name by now."
I hate to interrupt him when he's counting the money he made off his inauguration (this is influence-peddling that puts Daley in the shade from the get-go -- some of those tickets went for $50,000 each) but someone tell him he's been elected and can stop campaigning now.
Time for the famous cursing and screaming to begin.
Oh -- the whole family was in Grant Park attending something at the bandshell the other day, and they apparently had to be given clear plastic rain ponchos. I was looking at them at the inauguration, the tentative way they move and act, and one word came to mind -- "tourists." It's not their fault -- they just send out the kind of rays that'll get your Ipod snatched at Water Tower Place. They aren't from here, don't seem comfortable, and I don't think they expect to stay long. They know what Rahm has in mind.
The "political analyst" guy on Channel 9 kept repeatedly making a not-so-Freudian-slip about Emanuel's "one term."
"Oops! I meant his FIRST term!" (laughter)
He kept doing it.

The money quote? --McCarthy said he met with the department’s two assistant superintendents and other police brass. He said he was impressed with “a couple” of the officials but will have to “get a better feel” for others.--
I'm gonna be very impressed if he actually starts by cutting the garbage in the exempt ranks.
there is stiil 2 cars by the mayors house on indiana and the mayor and his wife do not even stay there cause she cannot get up the 3 flights of stairs, the are staying in his brothers condo around 800 n michigan so it is a waste of manpower on days when they r short people to work beat cars please help get rid of this extra detail

If Raham lets the "Big Shot Burke" keep his body guard detail then we know he's not serious about cutting waste. There is no reason in the world this "nobody" needs tax payer bodyguards. He just wants to look important and have coppers wait on him hand and foot. Hell, who even knows who he is? He's just a big mouth alderman.
To "The CPD Honor Guard really did us proud. 2nd in the NATION, for the National Honor Guard Competition, and The Presidential Honor Guards Chief Judges award for the exhibition portion of their drill. I hope someone has a video."
Someone from video services was there and video taped it.
As long as CPD is ok,the animals point a gun at us they deserve nothing more than a "dirt nap!"

Streets and Sans needs a house cleaning.
I hope he takes a real good look at that city towing and auto pound contract too.
The best way to save money is to break that operation up and create some competition.
That'll get the bids down in a hurry and the b.s. to stop.

Plan is to reduce some exempt spots, but they will just be moved to commander spots. This will meet new mayor's directive to cut senior management. Moves are gonna happen quickly to show their new master that they are team players.

Lakeysha "disrespected" -- Loud cell-phone talker removed from quiet car by police
"A woman who was escorted off an Amtrak train by police this weekend after she allegedly refused to stop talking loudly on her cell-phone has the Internet cheering her fate.
"Civilians and quiet-car champions are supporting her ejection for violating policy at high volume during the 16-hour journey. It doesn't help her cause that she became belligerent when confronted about it by one of her fellow passengers.
"KOMO News reports that Lakeysha Beard says she felt "disrespected" by the incident, though passengers said it was Beard who was being rude by refusing to stop yapping while sitting in one of the train's designated quiet cars. She had not stopped talking since the train pulled out of Oakland, California, 16 hours before it reached Salem, Oregon, when a passenger confronted her about the talking.
"That's when Beard got "aggressive," KATU reports, and conductors stopped the train so that police could remove her and charge her with disorderly conduct..."

If this thread is about a police involved shooting than this comment section should be about only that. C'mon men we are getting out of hand posting our comments wherever we want. Let's show a little more respect and try to provide info if we can about the officers involved in this particular incident and leave downtown rumors in another section where they belong.
