Blago Sentencing
Something to look forward to in October since the Sox and Cubs aren't going to be in the World Series:
- A federal judge today set a tentative sentencing date of Oct. 6 for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted this summer on 17 counts of public corruption in federal court.
U.S. District Judge James Zagel, who presided over both Blagojevich’s trials, said he would be prepared if the sentencing went into a second day.
Blagojevich also faces sentencing on an 18th count for a conviction from his first trial, which ended largely deadlocked, setting the stage for the retrial earlier this year.
Two more days of Blago??!! And he might testify at his own sentencing? We're hoping that he drops a few political bombshells during his time on the stand, just to liven things up.

If he drops a few bombs about some other politicians,it shall be interesting.He probably wont. He doesn't want to get sent to the Supremax prison..Ya never know,he may say something Cuz he is a crazy Serbian...
When he graduates from Jail University, perhaps WGN Channel 9 Chicago will consider bringing back BOZO.

He dropped a big bomb about D' Amico and Cullerton. The transcripts are brutal about these two. He didn't like D'Amico's relationship with Daley.
Blago wont get much time. The deal has been cut. He could blow the roof off of this city if he is sent away for a long time.
What does it say about the voters of Illinois; We Elected This Moron Twice! And for a while he was being considered for Vice-President of the United States of America, and Obama did a t.v. ad for Blago. Maybe this is all what we deserve for being so stupid.

Blagojevich should be very careful between now and speaking out at his sentencing.
An uncanny number of people connected to both Blagojevich and Obama have met untimely deaths by unnatural causes: Orlando Jones, John Ruff, Christopher Kelly. Not to mention Todd Stroger's convenient death by stroke.
He will not fare well in prison. It will be very tough on him. And, if he comes before the judge for sentencing and does not show contrition, the sentence will be harsh, as it should be. I sure hope he writes an expose all book. It would be a best seller. He can talk about the inside deals with Daley and madigan and all of the rest. But, I doubt he will do this.
Blagos real crime was daring to fuck with Obama, Madigan and the rest of the Il. power players. You know they were the ones to whisper in Fitzgeralds ear. Blago did the same shit that all Illinois politicians have done and are still doing. Ya think that Dem Fitzgerald will be investigating any of them...don't think so. One piece of crap down and lots more to go.
What happened to his side kick, John Harris? The former Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services. He was a POS when he worked here. Hope he gets multiple years.

I disagree. Zagel is a Republican and doesnt give a rats ass. I think he will hammer Blago for making such a spectacle of himself all over national TV and for lying his ass off on the stand. Cant wait till Oct 6th !
I called Judge Zagles office got an answeing machine and left a message for the Judge to please finally make a statement to self-serving politicians by sentencing Blago to almost the max. on every count and have it consecutive. I said I knew he has a family but a message has to be sent to the rest of those in IL Gov't living by the motto, "On my honor I'll do my best to take for myself and screw (I actually said "short") the rest (taxpayers)."
When I tell people this they laugh saying, "The fix is in because if he is sentenced to more then 10-12 years, he's got to serve that time in a Federal Penn, not some Club Fed and there is no way the IL "combine" is going to see Blago go to the big boy house."
Zagel was appointed by President Ronald Reagan.
