What the Bears Saw
After watching the Bears game, we suspected that Death was a Packer fan:
This is actually a billboard outside of Lambeau Field touting the dangers of cheese. You can read the story here if you're interested, but we suspect this might be a harbinger of the NFC Central Division this year. A lot depends on Detroit - and we can't believe we just typed that....Detroit?

Do the Lions actually play within the city limits of Detroit? Just curious.
Chalkie may have relatives in Wisconsin.
Detroit... they have finally come together in an effort to win football games, which SHOULD BE the goal of every NFL franchise.
That's the beauty of the NFL. More so than ML Baseball, if you SUCK for a bunch of years, you're rewarded with high draft choices and can get better with a series of great new players, (if you are able to recognize and utilize them). You need some talent in the front office though, too, which Detroit screwed up on when they hired GM Matt Millen.
Now, it seems to all be coming together for them... sharp young coaches, talented (when healthy) young QB, beasts on the defensive line and receivers who are actually NFL caliber receivers.
The same seems to be true in Buffalo, as well as Carolina, where Cam Newton is scorching NFL secondaries for record yardage with his #1 draft choice passing ability.
The Bears goal, on the other hand, is centered around profit rather than winning. You can start with team President & CEO Ted Phillips, who is being entrusted to run the team but had NO FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE before this job. He was originally hired as their accountant. From the Bears own website: "Prior to joining the Bears, Phillips was employed as an auditor and tax accountant...".
The Bears main concern seems to always be the "bottom line", which is ironic, since their GM Jerry Angelo's greatest talent seems to be squandering millions of dollars on questionable players, Chester Taylor, Manumaleuna, and a series of poor 1st round draft choices to name a few. And someone please explain how a player who gets cut by another team, (Brandon Meriweather), who was making $1.65 million from his old team, can come to the Bears with a new contract nearly DOUBLED in size! And this, while refusing to pay their BEST young player, Matt Forte.
The Bears will not win with Phillips, Angelo and Lovie Smith running things, (or while Aaron Rogers is still playing). They WILL make the McCaskeys millions of dollars every year, however, which is what their REAL goal is. Too bad they can't figure out a way to do both!
and what is typical of the niceness of Wisconinites, or sconnies as they call themselves, is evident in that the company who invented and patented the cheesehead has asked the physicians group responsible for the billboard to remove the cheesehead, and only if they refuse the request will they be forced to sue. Can you imagine a culturally offensive billboard in shitcago??? The lawsuits would be far and deep! Some how loevy and loevy would figure out how to spin it into suiing the city, and we the taxpayers would pay out in the millions! But in Wisconsin it seems like they have remembered what a lawsuit is for...the punitive nature notthe compensatory! This place sucks!!!
Fucking liberal assholes. I hate the food police and their attempt to foist themselves on you. If you don't like unhealthy food, then don't eat it.
We all know what is very bad for you and that it is ok to eat it on occasion (in moderation) along with a balanced diet and moderate to heavy exercise 4-6 days a week.
I eat some real crap, but also balance it with whole grains, low fat foods and balanced carbs.
The lions play right next to the tigers stadium in detroit both very nice stadiums.

Yes. Ford Field is downtown.
The Silverdome is in Pontiac, so they used to play in the burbs, but not anymore.

I am now preparing some macaroni & cheese with extra cheese on top and some all beef hot dogs cut up. Add crumbled bacon on top and I will have a wonderful Wisconsin dinner. Better add that deep fried perch too.
Story on TV news, the friggin' lawyers made them paint out the cheesehead hat.
SCC will probably be hearing from them as soon as their lawyers can find SCC on google.
I think I will print up some bumper stickers, "CHEESE KILLS"
First meat, now cheese.
Remember when Ingrid Newkirk from PETA caused an explosion by equating the slaughter of chickens for food to "the Holocaust?"
Which Hollywood starlet was it who cost the apple growers millions by her wild accusations? Now one of them is starting up again about apple juice.
These people are serious. They are also crazy.
