Trigger Happy Cops
Gunshots were fired in the direction of Chicago police officers late this afternoon as they were breaking a up a fight in the South Side's Auburn Gresham neighborhood, police said.
No officers were hurt, and none of them returned fire.
None? Not one? Where's all the praise for the restraint? The discipline? The conscientious effort on the part of the officers?
- The officers responded to a call of a "battery in progress" about 5:20 p.m. near West 78th and South Ada Streets, about a block west of Saint Sabina Catholic Church, to break up a scuffle between a group of girls, police said.
Oh, it was by Pfather Pfleger's Pflock. No wonder no one is singing the praises of the police.
We'll just have to do it for them. Nice job officers.

Tec-9 was found on scene.
An AK-47 you say....so someone tries to kill police responding to a call and it's business as usual, no one cares and there is no outrage. I say pull all the police out of ghetto infested districts and let the animal kill each other, they obviously have no regard for anything except where the next meal is and how they are gonna get their freak on...
Amen scc amen
And yet they recovered an AK47 on scene after the fact. This is war!
God Bless the 006th district
The HuffPost is full of video showing alleged police brutality during the "Occupy Wall Street" protest this weekend. Story after story and video after video--over 80 arrested...and these are protesters who are upset about the abuses on Wall Street--not some group with a pre-determined agenda--unlike G8.
The headlines slant one way--all against the cops--"Arrested for Talking to a Cop", etc.
Rough seas ahead you guys.
16 rounds to slide lock,repeat.
Where was Pfather Pflager to control his pflock? No comments?
I would refer you to Dr. Manning on youtube for an answer to this question.

Agreed just another reason not a 10-1, not copper needing help, not coppers family oh well I carry a nice shovel to shovel the shit up and in back of the garbage truck! let the king of the jungle win,as long as they stay in their respective jungles all is great!
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story"----Bob Woodward
if the officers did let a round fly, McAsswipe would be at his butt buddy's side and criticizing his officers for some reason.
This makes me sick!!! Yes we do not want the public (liberals) to knpw how these assholes act & father faker just has a big mouth when it is good for him....then he hides in his corner as if nothing is wrong!!! Thank God the Officers are okay!!! Stay Safe!!!
Is any one fed up with the non tax paying neighborhoods receiving all of our hard earned money?
Now there will be those complaining that the police just stood around and didn't do their job by not shooting at the offender and protecting the public. It's a double edged sword. We the police are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
funny. not 1 pol wants to REALLY address the killimg fields of chicago.
The son of a New York City detective, Mr. McCarthy said he would take a zealous approach to law enforcement, applying the analytical skills he learned as a statistician and the policing tactics he learned as a beat officer in the Bronx in the 1980’s. “Reducing crime is my specialty,” Mr. McCarthy said in an interview Wednesday. “There’s a lot of work to be done in Newark, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. There are a thousand things we can do — fighting gangs, guns, drugs and quality-of-life violations — and I know I can make a difference.”
Glad you guys were uninjured. Thanks for being ready!
I am a citizen who pays property, sales and corruption taxes in this once great city(and was once the police for a short time 86-89). Though it appears that the officers did the right thing in this situation, and they SHOULD be recognized for the restraint and professionalism they showed, I can not believe the day has come that you can now SHOOT at the CPD and not end up dead or injured. This kind of non sense starts with not authorizing chases and allowing thugs and criminals to be elevated to the status of good citizens by O.P.S. and rev-run's. Some one needs to pressure this union or start working on removing the current admin. I wonder if someone could run the numbers and find out where (if there is a place) it's more dangerous to wear the uniform than Chicago, maybe Iraq or Afaganistan????

Nice job by the responding officers, if the press doesn't sing their praise we should.
Hasn't McCarthy "obliterated" those darn gangs yet?
What exactly does he mean by obliterated? I have a Glock .45 cal. obliteration device and a .223 Rock River obliteration carbine. Ready to roll here.
Just waiting for precise instructions and a good leader. Oh Chesty Puller, where are you now?
Start ticketing the snot out of PFlegers PFlock of PFelons.
Phuck 'em...and the Phoney Phastor.

Sean Gason Trial Update
Police Officer Alejandro "Alex" Valadez #9534 responded to a call of shots fired while patrolling the streets of Englewood on June 1, 2009. He was shot and killed by Sean Gaston.
Gaston was charged with Officer Valdez' murder. The trial which has been underway since last Monday has been moved to Room 400. Please stop in at 26th and Cal to show your support for the Valadez family members.
What was that line I read about "Father Pfleger being responsible for a great deal of the improvements and new development in the neighborhood?"
Can't even get a block away from the powerful waves of holy righteousness emitted by the almighty St. Sabina's, can't even have a meaningless, noisy he-say-she-say "scuffle between a group of girls" without some a__hole opening up on the birds, the trees, the whole sky.
Yeah, there's so much to be proud of here.
Haven't heard a peep from that direction in a while, have we? Pfleger must have some innate sense of which side his bread's buttered on, some animal cunning of exactly how far he can go, even with an irresolute, do-nothing Cardinal who's afraid of him.
Keep the collection basket full, keep the bottom of the brandy snifter covered, keep the tank of the Escalade on "F."
Lookin' out for No. 1.

...instead of the real criminals who hollowed out the economy of the whole world.
Some of the incomprehensible "financial products" that were bought and sold and bartered back and forth as though they were real were actually invented by physicists; I saw TV film of a slick prospectus that was full of equations.
This is nothing new -- essential reading is Mackay's Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness Of Crowds, from 1841. "The subjects of Mackay's debunking include economic bubbles...Present day writers on economics, such as Andrew Tobias and Michael Lewis, laud the three chapters on economic bubbles."

The phrase to keep in mind is "the monetization of debt;" the buying and selling of debt as though it were a tangible product like barrels of oil or bushels of corn.
The other phrase to keep in mind is "It's just business." The advent of that casual, straight-faced excuse for any sort of outrage, theft, swindle, or exploitation marks the crack that split the stone block of civilized society in two -- the day that morality was taken and held separate from the conduct of everyday affairs.

"Courageous Restraint?"
OT --
What is it with this Autumnal Equinox? God Almighty, seems like every news story for the last three or four days is people getting hit by cars, pedestrians getting mown down like sheaves of wheat...
The craziest stuff, Lawrence/Sheridan woman gets run over, driver backs up and gets her again, or the one over by LSD at 1 AM, someone trying to cross and here comes the prototypical south or west sider in an old Cadillac -- whammo. Was ticketed, being held, don't know if he blew drunk or what.
And another, and another, and another.
Like an extra full moon with a cherry on top. Everyone keep it on a swivel...
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO."
Sorry to get off topic but does anyone have any info on the guy who rammed the cops in near north last night?

I can't count the number of officers I know that have been shot at and were unable to return fire for one reason or another. It's unfortunate that the Medea makes it sound like an unusual occurrence.
OT--
Another hit and run just now reported on WBBM radio, Madison and Sacramento, woman taken to hospital in critical condition, driver escaped in some variety Bonneville. Comin' too fast for me...

so, what you're saying is, the problem is the downlow side of human nature.
