Blago Sentencing
- Rod Blagojevich's lawyer, Sheldon Sorosky, said this afternoon that he's "quite certain" the ex-governor's sentencing will be delayed.
"Our sentencing date is going to be continued," Sorosky said, when told of the news that U.S. District Judge James Zagel kept Cellini's Oct. 3 trial date intact and asked that prosecutors have witnesses ready for Oct. 5. Blagojevich's sentencing right now is scheduled for Oct. 6. "It's not going to happen, I'm telling you. It would taint the Cellini jury. I'm quite certain it will be continued."
When we read the first line, we thought for sure we were having some sort of "Sopranos" flashback and someone was going to whack Rod on the way to court.

Once he is sentenced his only hope is a pardon or a shank.

I've been grilled in court by Sheldon Sirosky. He's an idiot. I still can't believe Blago hired him.
If they take a shot, it better be a body shot. Because his "do" looks like it's Kevlar!
Blago is the fall guy. The real criminals are the prosecutors who pulled the wire down before WHOMEVER got on the line to cut a deal.

There have be Illinois Republican & Democrat Govenors that have been found guilty of screwing the voters to enrich themselves and get re-elected.
Cellini knows that. He is accused of being an equal opportunity kick-backer for decades.
My hope is Judge Zagel, an appointee of Ronald "Maximus" Reagan, will do his job and sentence to a very, very stiff sentence the one-time pizza delivery boy who evidently delivered pizzas without a helmet.
A stiff enough sentence that he will soil his pants and the hair on the back of the neck of those who got away with stealing and lying to the voters stands on end.
That should be a good message to the ones that are ripping us right now.
I know he's got young kids but the Willis family lost all of their children as a result of the kind of things Blago did.
Your Honor, please don't continue to enable these guys.
