Milwaukee "CompStat" Scandal
When Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn touted the city's fourth-straight year of falling crime in February, hundreds of beatings, stabbings and child abuse cases were missing from the count, a Journal Sentinel investigation has found.
More than 500 incidents since 2009 were misreported to the FBI as minor assaults and not included in the city's violent crime rate, the investigation found. That tally is based on a review of cases that resulted in charges - only about one-fifth of all reported crimes.
Yet the misreported cases found in 2011 alone are enough that Flynn would have been announcing a 1.1% increase in violent crime in February, instead of a 2.3% decline from the reported 2010 numbers, which also include errors.

Just like years ago when the media exposed the "killing crime," series it revisits us again and again! Policing has been and always will be the same! Trying to keep the animals and savages from attacking the working good people in society! compstat does not work,just a bullshit idea to degrade police commanders and working coppers no more but a lot less!
Well, will you look at that! A newspaper actually doing a proper investigation on news story.
What will happen next? Maybe a Chicago newspaper doing the same hard work on revealing the cooking of the books by the exempts of the CPD to artificially lower the crime rate in Chicago? Nah. The politicians would not let the news media do a real story that in any way would stop the people from drinking their kool-aid.
Good thing for Rahm, Daley neutered the Chicago media before he left office and the lapdogs at the papers and so called investigative reporters just take the city hall press releases and turn those in as news stories.
That's how you become a "World Class City'! (whatever that means??)
We also found out today that pending new home sales took a significant drop in May.. AND guess what? They revised the numbers down for April too. So what they told us back in April was a lie.
So much for that housing recovery eh?
So like the unemployment reports and so many others it's all lies.
We can lie as much as we like just revise the numbers later making everything we told you a lie and then lie again. There's no consequences. There's no bringing the liars to justice.
We do it for the economy numbers. We do it for the crime numbers. My guess is we do it for everything as there is no integrity left.
The tea party-ers lied to us and sold out to the investment bankers and then we voted for change last presidential election and Obama sold us out too to the investment bankers.
I don't know why any republicans are whining right now as the Obama policies are pretty much the same as the Bush policies as far as corporate bailouts, closing of Gitmo, and more go.
Either lie straight out or misrepresent the truth.

The mayor tells us Chicago has plenty of jobs and promotes the corporate bullshit line that there's a skills mismatch. We're supposed to believe that there is a shortage of airline mechanics, machinist, welders, etc when there are thousands of these people laid off from an airline maintenance Hub in MN. Massive layoffs in Kansas, American Airlines layoffs of people with the exact qualifications that there's supposed to be a shortage of.

The mayor says the taxpayers are not going to have to pay for NATO. That we got a $19 million dollar Federal grant that is going to pay for everything. We have corporations (that have been given up to $100 million in tax breaks) giving a portion of that money back as a donation for NATO and so the corporations are paying for everything else.
ARE YOU EFF-ING KIDDING ME?
Where does the Fed get the money for government grants if not from the taxpayers. And handing out million dollar corporate tax break welfare packages funded by the taxpayers, once the money is laundered by changing hands one time permits us to say that the taxpayers are not paying for NATO! I call bullshit!

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is currently running for Governor in the Wisconsin Recall Election against Governor Scott Walker. The Walker TV ads are touting this BIG TIME about how Barrett's administration has been lying about the crime rates in Milwaukee for YEARS!

I'm curious as to the extent concealed carry will put a dent in the crime rate up there in Milwaukee. I know of a few instances already where permit holders have thwarted a few bad guys. It'd be interesting comparing certain Milwaukee crime stats pre-CCW/post-CCW down the road. Then again, if they're fudging the numbers...

So can we all just agree that every major city is completely full of shit with their stats? I mean why even bother anymore. Everyone one of them is a lie and the percentages don't mean a thing anyway. Just something for the politicians to thump their chests about as if THEY have anything to do with it.
People have to report the theft of an auto in order to be insured. If auto theft is not going down, nothing else is either. They can play all the games they want with every other indexed crime, but auto theft and murders are true indications of the real crime rate.
