Sergeant Chases Shooters

  • A Gresham man and a 16-year-old boy have been charged in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old girl over the weekend.

A Chicago police sergeant witnessed Leslie Borden, 20 and two teens flee from the shooting in the 11100 block of South Vincennes Avenue at about 6:20 p.m. Sunday and gave chase, police said.

The shooting occurred near Morgan Park High School, next to the Morgan Park police district, where the sergeant is assigned. The officer chased the suspects' car until the three bailed out and fled on foot, police said. Police took them into custody a short time later.
Two charged. Good job.

Excellent job. The coppers at NATO did a great job, but don't forget the District officers that worked 12 over the weekend as well. Let's see 12 hours downtown or 12 hours in Englewood. Most busy districts have a NATO uproar every weekend in the summer. Send the bike units to 7, 6 or 4 since they were so effective at NATO.

Another problem with this and please explain, one kid got released no charges, the other only got a juvie petition? What is the name of the person who approved this? A illegal weapon was fired, someone was shot. I have seen and heard of guys getting busted for a joint having to spend months in county at least. But thanks to the officer.

Never happens, Morgan Park high school is an oasis of civility and these are misunderstood youths that were profiled by the racist po-lice.

Cue the rev-runds in 3...2...1....

Thank you to all CPD personnel whether you were downtown or in the district last weekend. We in the 22nd district saw our police hard at work and were grateful they were protecting us. We were praying and continue to pray for you as you serve and protect.

Dont believe paper. 2206 did great job, along with everyone else involved. Thanks to the bosses in 022 for letting 2206 stick around for entireinvestigation. On top of doing a great job they were huge help to detectives. Area 2 appreciates their good work.
