From a number of comments over the past day or so. First up is a comment on the decision to destroy without testing any and all of the weapons turned in.

What if we threw out 5,000 rape kits w/o testing them? The liberals would go into a tizzy ....
Where indeed. The collective outcry would be enough to deafen the most tone-deaf politico. Nice catch.
Next is about the "Who raised you" quote by 9.5:

You're in charge, but you don't do anything to fix the problem.
You don't hire police, you reward gang bangers.
You don't hire police, you enrich your buddies by buying cameras.
You don't reward and support the few police you have, you try to undermine them and make their lives more difficult at every turn.
Buy a mirror Rahm, step up on a stool and gaze into it.
You'll get a terrific view of the problem.
It's almost like a bunch of philosophers are reading the blog.

Not sure if u heard 003 has to put in to-froms to take a day off it has to be signed off by deputy to take off on the weekends .needless to say FOP was called several times yes we know its against the contract rules but guess what!!!! Their still trying to back door it. If u cant take a day off why the hell would u work.

Yep we watched him on the news yesterday saying that Chicagoans should be happy to support a property-tax increase for schools. Left unsaid is that he will divert that Board of Education money into his own personal kitty as Daley did with the TIF money.

Alex Jones? A friend linked me to his articles on his web page. After a bit of research to his claims-- I was able to disprove must of A. Jones claims.
A. Jones is just another pimp, pushing his propaganda to make money.
Think of him as another Jesse Jackson; the more followers, the more money he makes.
Do the research on his claims, he's always misquoting all the sources, i.e. Executive Orders

I worked the weapon turn in and there were a large number of guns turned in by several gun shops from the suburbs. Shore Gallery from Lincolnwood, Illinois turned over about 50 guns and collected over $5000.00 in vouchers. My understanding was that they were paying people $25.00 at their shop and wait for the annual weapon turn in to make a 75% profit from the City of Chicago. This has been going on for years now. I wonder if this is Kosher?? Maybe City Inspector General shuold look into this.

I'd like to call your attention to the recent interpretation by the US Supreme Court when it came to Obama care.
The Obama care bill couldn't force people to buy mandatory health insurance under the commerce laws charging a penalty if people chose not to. SO guess what? The penalty fee is not a fee and it's not a fine. IT'S A TAX and congress does have the right to tax you!!
It's all a word game with these people.
Now suppose the powers-that-be tell Ford for example that you must sell cars for no more than $5,000 or else pay a fine. Well the commerce law doesn't allow that but the powers that be can now demand a tax as a penalty instead. Supreme court set the new standard that allows it.
You guys and gals are creative. How many other instances can the government apply this logic to do you think?

How much of that money was exported out of state by this program? We have all this emphasis on residency requirements for city workers to keep our tax dollars local helping our own people. But when it comes to a program like this all that keeping the taxpayers money local to reinvest goes right out the window.
Anyone that was looking to upgrade their firearms went right out of the Sanctuary city and maybe even the state to find a gun shop or pay for time on a range. How much of that half-million was exported out of our local economy?

No the city inspector general should look into the assinine idea of a gun turn in. It's purely political fluff which doesnt do anything to keep dude from shooting up the city.

He grew up in Wilmette, he never lived in Winnetka. Before Wilmette, the Emanuel family lived in Chicago. But never in Winnetka. Facts is facts.

Regarding Alex Jones, I did not research him, however quotes are quotes. You must admit these videos of Rahm and Obama are too, too frightening. Even if Jones is not great, you just can't argue when these words come out of Rahm and Obama's mouth This tells the whole story on what's going on with the planned destruction of America's Police Departments. The city used to dump them in the lake from a barge. Theres a big pile of disposed weapons - mostly handguns - out near the downtown crib - an easy dive.

I am a citizen of the City of Chicago. Please try to refrain from any further stupid comments. In other words, please shut up. Crime is out of control in the City of Chicago.
