A Suggestion

Maybe Rahm ought to save some of that $15 million in NATO money for lawsuit payouts?

Just a suggestion.

If he hasn't spent it all on anti-teacher ads that is.

$55 MILLION for Maggie Daley Park must stay in city coffers for our pension fund. Not a dime to commemorate the enabling spouse of the most corrupt mayor in modern Chicago history.

There's a landfill on E. 138th St. Put up a cheap wooden sign designated it as Maggie Daley landfill.

Very good. But why desecrate a perfectly good landfill with that name? Isn't there a sewage treatment plant somewhere that hasn't already been named after some obscure democrat hack?

How about the Sanitary and Ship Canal? That has no person's name, lugs nothing but shit and flows out of town carrying the effluent of the City.

Yup, that's it, the Maggie Daley Sanitary and Ship Canal. And every time someone flushes in the city, they would be sending a load down the Maggie Daley canal.

Chicago asks Twitter to solve gun violence problem in 140 characters

"Chicago didn’t seem to need Twitter’s help when it wanted to keep a dangerous Chick-fil-A location off of the city’s streets, but with gunshot deaths numbering in the hundreds, the city could use a little help getting gun violence under control. As part of Chicago Ideas Week, the city is soliciting ideas from Twitter.

Using the hashtag #WhatIfChicago, residents are asked to submit their ideas on how to get illegal guns off the streets. The bad news: you’re limited to 140 characters. The good news: that’s more than the city seems to have come up with."

Chicago's Homicides Effecting Small and Large Businesses -- Tourism!

"1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting outside Bridgeport restaurant" (link via Chicago Tribune )

The covered body of a shooting victim is seen on the sidewalk outside of a hot dog stand on the 900 block of W. 35th St. in Chicago Sunday. Another man was wounded outside of Johnny O's hot dog stand about 5:20 a.m., authorities said. (Chuck Berman, Chicago Tribune / September 30, 2012)

Yep standing in line for a damn hot dog -- get blasted, come on down to the "World-Class" Sanctuary City of Chicago. It's Okay.

It's Sharpshooter Sunday!!!

You're the leader Mayor Emanuel. It's your culture. The blood is on your hands and the bodies lay at your feet.

Naw we're not gonna look at Maggie Park and how pretty the Green Zone is for the clouted ones. Our city is more than just a few miles outside of city hall and it's ugly as hell.

If this is "World-Class" we can't even begin to imagine how high up on the scale Afghanistan must be on your metric system of family values.

NO PLACE IS SAFE HERE.

This shooting is on 35th street, the same 35th street where the Chicago White Sox play baseball -- where Cellular Field sits.

Is it any wonder why we have an empty ballpark even when the baseball club has been in first place much of the year?

Bridgeport!

Add it to the two bodies of beaten men found a few days ago in a car trunk. Maybe Bridgeport's name should be changed to Englewood Del Norte ?

Mayor Rahm!

Wanna close that $300 million dollar budget shortfall the city has?

It's been said that each Homicide cost the city $1 million dollars in the end. Emergency responders, ER cost, the investigations, the prosecutions, the incarcerations, etc... And guess what mayor. WE HAVE PASSED THE 400 HOMICIDE MARK FOR THE YEAR IN THE CITY! So there's $400 million dollars blown.

Put that in your economic growth GDP calculation bullshit and tell us: Oh LOOK HOW GDP IS GROWING!

Heh..Mayor Rahm also wants the citizens to step up and we all can see how well the retaliation from the street gangs is prevented for the people that do. Good luck with that plan.

You can't protect the citizens and you're all gun-ho on preventing the citizens from protecting themselves by using gun restrictions.

Ald Burke and x-mayor Daley, and you have taxpayer funded security apparatus. World-Class cities do not need that. At the same time you preach to the taxpayers how crime is down. Again, are you eff-in retarded. Seriously do you think we can't see what's going on. that we are that stupid?

To use some of the Mayor's own language, are you eff-ing retarded Mayor?

Is that language disrespectful?

Oh well you're the leader and set what language is acceptable so deal with it.

Nevertheless, the South Side Street Friars are going to do yet another stop the violence march today. You might just as well piss in the wind.

The mayor can't hear you and the alderman can't hear you and the representation in Springfield can't hear you. So who exactly are you marching for -- to get the attention of who exactly?

The Mayor would like more 9-1-1 calls and CPD and the OEMC can't even handle the ones they are getting now. Overloaded ever single weekend from Thursdays to Sunday's.

The Top Cop gives glorious speeches about "Broken Windows" crime methodology. How the small crimes being promptly attended to prevents the larger ones from occurring. Yet Broken Windows is pretty much a joke. Just Nineteen-Paul that backlog stack over there that's all you have to do.

See crime's down now how about that.

Snitches get Stitches everyone knows that. We think that this phrase doesn't only apply in the hood but inside politics as well. Especially in Chicago.

Civilian here.

Judge Thomas More Donnelly is a member of the Catholic Lawyers' Guild with is, most definitively, not the legal arm of the US Communist Party.

BTW, Judge Donnelly has an excellent reputation as a fair jurist who calls them as he sees them. His written opinion clearly states the basis of his opinion and it will be subject to review if, and when, the City appeals. In the meantime, I think it's a stretch to think that whatever actions the police officers took that night in arresting the protesters rises exposes them to punitive damages.

As for the allocation of $55 Million dollars for a park in Mrs. Daley's honor, I would speculate that even she would think it would be a waste of money. There's no reason not to change the name of one of the parks already in existence in order to honor her memory. Times are tough and extravagant expenditures must be curtailed. That money should be used for first responders who protect our children, either to replenish the pension funds or to hire more officers.

hahaha.

A lousy 200 people marched against Chicago Gang violence with gang membership in the tens of thousands.

Pitiful!

Can you believe it?

I guess the citizens of the Sanctuary City learned their lesson after all.

When you go out and march on something that embarrasses the mayor and the alderman they're liable to lock your ass up on some trumped up interpretation of the law -- why bother. They made their bed let 'em live in it.

Half of the marchers most likely went home and locked their doors behind them saying to themselves: I sure hope my neighbors do something now cuz I'm not going to stick my neck out only to become the next victim with politicians telling my family that they will bring the person that blasted me in the face to justice when I'm shot, dead, and gone. No way..let the other guy do something.

Anyone at the march with the backbone to continue to stand their ground is just the beginning of vigilante justice. Knowing the Chicago politicians are either unwilling or unable to provide them with security.

Unlike the alderman and the perpetual security for other ex-politicians these fools will not be covered in any witness protection program. There will be no 24/7 security apparatus assigned to their house. These people are nothing buy damn fools placing their assets and well being at risk.

If the gangs don't get them the city will under some UUW charge should they become the target of gang retaliation and forced to defend themselves. That's using the crisis baby! Woo-hoo suckers.

Even when you are charged and taken to court and perhaps win.. guess what..you already lost because you're going to be locked up and if your lucky bonded for who knows how long waiting for the case to clear.

That'll be time well spent eh? Who's got that time to give up and waste, that they'll never get back?

If the city of Chicago cannot or will not provide the taxpayers with security then return our tax money plain and simple. Governments primary purpose is to provide security for it's citizens and we're not getting it.

Give us our money back!!

hahaha.. Calling for an end to youth violence. HELLO? WHO'S LISTENING?? Vigilantes? The Nazi party? Who you calling to.. Obama? hah! Y'all calling out to the: "this ain't none of your business" gang members old man?

The police in Greece are now referring these types of things to the Nazi party to get action. I guess that's where we're headed.

A South Side pastor calling for an end to youth violence is marching through neighborhood streets.

Bishop Larry Trotter is he senior pastor at Sweet Holy Spirit Church on Chicago's South Side. Nearly 200 people joined him Sunday afternoon.

He says he's holding the rally to end violence gripping his community.

The marchers wore red clothing to symbolize the bloodshed, sang hymns and prayed at several street corners.
The march follows the death of 17-year-old Derrick Davis. He was fatally shot Friday just a block from where he lived in Chicago.

A review of Associate Judge Donnelly shows he should have recused himself solely because he belongs to the Lawyer's Guild which is the legal arm of the US Communist Party and acted as "observers" during the NATO protests.

--------------------------

When you say Communist Party do you mean the Illinois Democratic leadership that wants to take our gun rights away?

Perhaps it's the Washington leadership, GOP and wacky libs alike that passed laws like the NDAA and took away rights to a speedy trial and to see evidence against you?

Yeah it's like all the surveillance camera's, right? What are you afraid of if you're not doing anything wrong?

Then when YOU'RE the one being filmed holy smokes this is not right!

Not being able to see the evidence?

All find and well until someone charges you and you say let me see the evidence and they say no. That's what we're protecting? That freedom?

Be careful and don't do ANYTHING that will upset the political boss as we may never see your ass again. They'll put your neighbors on TV to say: "they were such nice quite people -- we never thought that would be mixed up in something like this" Like what? Show me the evidence. Nope we don't have to. You know what you did.

So I'm confused. I don't know where the Communist Party and the current people in control calling themselves Republicans and Democrats begin and end. It all seems to be one big blur.

Wait until the austerity cuts come right after the election. Boy-oh-boy do I suspect the hope and change crowd is going to be beside themselves. The corporate dictatorship will be in full swing. It doesn't matter who wins either.

Get a clue people Obama is already on record that he's a blue dog democrat. Medicare, Social Security, he's already offered to cut them both big time and should he get re-elected there is no fear of ruining his political career because term limits are up baby so who knows what hardships will be unleashed in order to save the corporation social economic status.

And as the social security system goes so goes the public pensions. We're looking at a massive violation of the social contract and public trust -- all those contributions that people made to either plan over the years will be demonized as "entitlements" that must be cut. Must be cut so the elite can do things like build a $55 million dollar memorial park for a clouted one and give another tax break to a CEO.

We paid into them and promises were made on paper with signatures on them and so-called laws to protect them. Watch how it all goes *poof* because the written words don't mean what you thought they did. Just like the lil' city ordinances. If the laws can be indiscriminately applied for that stuff why shouldn't we use the same discrimination for things like social security, health care and pensions laws.

Hell yeah, let the mayor use his discretion on who will get the benefits that were promised and who doesn't.

Let's see how that works out

Yes she did!!

But i fear...

Watch for the bitterness and payback.

Not now but after Nov. elections.

Just stay cool until after you get the votes for your party. Tell them anything you have to. Just stay cool.

Once you're voted in the taxpayers lose all leverage and they're stuck with you for four more years.

heh-heh-heh.

Then the union busting begins by closing schools and turning the schools into lil' corporate run re-education training camps that will educate "the children" to be obedient lil' min-wage servants that do not question authority and just do what they are told.

Think we can't do it?

We'll do it the same way we enforce park ordinances. By the discretion of enforcement of the laws that you granted the politicians.

Union contract's Ha! Collective bargaining rights? Ha! Those are things that communist judges are in favor of no? Out with them.

Who's suppose to be in charge of who?

Does the government control the people or do the people control the government? Please check the US Constitution before you answer.

That's our future workforce you know sitting there in the third grade about now. Their the ones that are suppose to compete in the global economy don't you know.

Yeah. all those min-wage part-temp government-food-stamp-subsidized temporary jobs and obedient workers are going to grow the GDP, fund savings and allow the children to bid up the stocks and bonds in our retirement portfolios. You think that you're not effected because you have saved and spent responsibly?

With all that excess wealth and disposable income being created by stocking Chinese shit on the shelf at WalMart? Yeah..

Yeah don't you see it? The recent grads all buying out houses/real estate like there's no tomorrow with all that money..heh.

The ol' USA. The great success of capitalism.

I don't think that there's a single USA company that can make it on their own without some kind of tax break or government welfare handout.

That's how we built up over $13 trillion dollars in debt and a facade of growth.

The workers underpaid to the point where a 40 hour work week is unable to feed ones family and corporate government handouts as soon as a clouted company begins to loose the so-called competition battle. Look at how successful these corporations are under that environment!

As they point to "X" consecutive months of GDP growth to show that we are on the right path to wealth and happiness no-one is suppose to look at the trillions of dollars it took in government bailouts and spending to get us there -- only to end up with the number of jobs that we had 13 years ago.

I got news for you people. That's not growth. You pull that government spending and the wheels come off of everything. It's a fake economy built on fake demand funded by trillion dollar government spending.

Corporate entitlements!

The debt per person is something like $135,000 dollars now isn't it? That will take a WalMart job holder their entire career to pay off. That's at least one entire generation of what comes down so slavery, indentured servitude. We'll give you food stamp subsidies so you have enuff energy to do you work and collect every spare dime to the government to pay the debt.

Capitalism. One huge ponzi scam that's about to implode. Look at Greece, Spain, Portugal news today and tell them they are wearing tin foil hats and it's crazy talk.

Unemployment there up to 50% and certain people want us to believe that they all of a sudden got lazy and do not want to work. Nationals debts off the charts!

Besides occupy lawsuits, this latest "idea" to give preference to CPS graduates won't survive one challenge. Who the hell reviews these"ideas" for legal standing before he spews his blabber?

9/30/2012 03:35:00 PM

=============================

I had thought the same thing. But read carefully, there's no promise of anything in the press release is there?

Give me the CPS resumes to look at first and we'll throw them in the trash and call it giving you a leg up program. That's all.

It's like the speed trap school zone cameras that are not technically feasible as the current request for proposals requirements suggest.

It's like the gigabit WiFi in the city parks plan where no-one has hardware available to provide the end user over a wireless link at gigabit speeds.

It all sounds so impressive moving into elections. The mayor is doing this and the mayor is doing that OMG this is great stuff. Will any of it get done? And not at some cut down version of it either?

Later when the vendors tell him what he's asking for is not available. Rahm can play the victim. Oh the mayor wanted to do it but the technology just wasn't there so it's not his fault right? Oh the CPS schools kids math and science scores are just not high enuff to trim a tree. etc..so it's not his fault.

Why not push those CPS charter schools in front of those other CPS schools so we can create the appearance of how successful the entire charter school program is..

Now we're talking eh?? There's an idea for ya.

Do you think that he does not know if the technology doesn't exist before he even does these great announcements? Seriously?

Why should we believe anything that comes out of these politicians mouths anyway when they have the gall to sit there with a straight face and tell the taxpayers that city parks need to be closed from 11 pm to 6 am because the park district is doing their maintenance to them during those hours and they are doing garbage collection and stuff.

I've talked to people that have lived here in this city for over sixty years and they have NEVER seen a park district employee working inside a park between those hours.

The only thing that they can recall being done in the middle of the night was the tearing up of runways at Meigs field so that we can make it a Daley park today. Was that the park district, streets and sans or some outside clouted contractor I don't even know.

We can understand the safety aspect but tell the truth and don't make stuff up. If you're lying about city ordinances what the hell else are you making up to fit your agenda?

Gov. Quinn Can't Escape

via Capitalfax.com...

"From AFSCME Council 31’s Facebook page…

In late September, Gov. Quinn took a six-day junket to meet with CEOs and politicians in Brazil. Public employees and labor leaders there were waiting with their own “Pat Quinn Truth Squad”! The signs in Portuguese read, “Governor Quinn, Bad for Workers”. In this photo: Graca Costa (left), president of the National Confederation of Municipal Workers (CONFETAM), and Vagner Freitas (right), vice president of the Unified Workers Central (CUT)."

------------------------

Hahaha YANKEE GO HOME!

So how does this work anyways?

You get to use your campaign donation funds to take a vacation to Brazil or some other far off place and then claim that your on a trade mission and so everything is cool?

Quinn's been down there several times already I believe. Anyone see any trade benefits or any Brazilians roaming around here? What did we gain from this?

We have to get corporate money out of politics people. We have to.

No, it actually comes from here:

Their Illinois State Director is Rebeca Nieves Huffman. Give her a calll at (773) 727-5408 or drop her an email at Rebeca@dfer.org.

=====================

This is great. One can create a lot of political cover by doing this.

One can choose one or two ideas submitted that are known will fail and then claim that we have done everything we can possibly do and nothing works.

See..Can't blame me. We put the question out there and there wasn't anyone that had a solution. How can you hold me accountable when no-one has an answer. No-one knows.

(even thought there may have been valid ideas out there that happened to be blown off, dismissed, and never tried)

Get it?

That's what Cease Fire is all about imo.

Many of us know exactly what needs to be done however the mayor, aldermen, Gov, etc.. don't want to accept it and face reality.

If the street corner drug trade was shut down completely this city would fold in bankruptcy within a few months. There's a huge amount of illicit money attracted here by the drugs, that unlike the corporate profits, trickles into the legit economy.

Shut that drug trade down completely and thousands of people making money AND supporting legitimate businesses is gone overnight. So not only will you put the drug dealers out of business you'll hurt a lot of legitimate businesses too.

They let it get this far out of hand by playing the Sanctuary City and have painted themselves into a corner.

Who's gonna hire the drug dealer anyway and if they did he was churning a few grand a day? Look at the lost to the economy that's what the politicians are looking at. The lost money.

Wanna trade an illicit job bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars in drug money to Chicago's economy with a min-wage job instead. How's Chicago gonna show economic growth like that?

What would these gang bangers do? Corporations want nothing to do with them so they're in survival mode.

Those concerned about our pension should attend a Finance Committee hearing tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 at which pension officials will be questioned by committee members. Supposedly, certain aldermen are determined to find out how and why ours is one of the most underfunded pensions in the U.S. Don't know the room number, but it will be posted.

City Hall must have pulled CPD files and said, "HOOOLEEYY SHIT! Lookit all da Coppers hitting 50 in the next few years!!"

Once again... CPD is very likely one of the oldest Police Departments in the country by average officer age.

>Pfffft!<

Didn't we go through this about 20 years ago?

The average age was something like 57 with about 30 YOJ?

The big difference is they were in the middle of the biggest hiring wave in department history...

Now this ignorant l'il half a Boris Karloff looking fuck named flaming tutu is trying finish what shortshanks started but too many people are running for the exits too soon to suit him.

Everybody over 50 and over 20 YOJ SHOULD NOT have the right to exercise their "early out" option taken away because the fools in charge don't want to admit their plan to drive Policemen off the job and re-boot CPD is working faster than they've planned.

Irony?

When good citizens ask, "What's happening to the Police? How come there aren't as many of you guys as before?" and we give it to 'em straight with no bullshit chaser - we usually get the famous "dumbfounded look & rapid eye-blink of incomprehension."

O_o? O_o? o_O?

"Oh you big, mean, hateful and cynical Cop! Go do your job already! OUR mayor wouldn't do THAT! Stop it... You're scaring us! now go take those streets back so we can feel safe again! LA-LA-LA! We're not listeniiiiinng!"

Muthafuckah you should be frightened out of your wits by what Rahm & Co. have in store for you and your family...

Everybody in this city who gets up, goes to work, pay taxes and tries to properly raise a family, is being fitted to wear the shit-colored letter "L" for "LOSER."

The catered to constituents get the "W" for WINNER.

Who the fuck do you think Rahm is having marched to the stalags?

Oh... Never-fucking-mind...

The Police are the enemy... Right?

Well if such is the case and since so many people (heh... and folks) want the Police to go away so badly...

Every man for himself. Every man to his conscience and to his GOD to do what he needs to do to survive.

Heh... It's good that EVERYONE who has turned their backs has to face the uncomfortable prospect of fighting for their own lives.

The ones fighting on the fort wall laugh the hard bitter laughter as truly ugly shit starts climbing over the walls.

"You poor simple-minded fools" they think as the hand to hand begins...

People look on in horror as their cries of "Save us!" go unanswered for the first and final time in their lives...

No help coming... Get on the wall and get bloody with us...

We're kinda busy... Can you poke the media, politicians and others from under their beds at bayonet point? fort some strange reason they think they shouldn't have to die on the wall with us...

"WAH! No no no! We have to watch and report on YOU GUYS because YOU'RE so wild and out of control!"

Heh... Wild and out of control is what's climbing over the fort walls.

Headline.

"Chicago Destroyed! No Tax Paying Suvivors! Daley & Emanuel Families Safe with Fortunes Intact! Catered To Constituents Rejoicing! "Dis Shit Be Ours Now Bitches... We Run It!"

As The Police go?
So goes this city.

Private-run schools will not be beholden to Gov't. for funding, and therefore would be free to teach facts, real history and life-skills--not politically -correct pap designed to keep greating good little Democrats...Wake up!

Not to mention SWAT was promised D-3 pay seven years ago and take home cars. I'm sick of this city and its bosses cutting corners especially since SWAT is here to protect the Blue Shirts. We may wear green but we are blue shirts. I have to respond from one end of the city in my personal car with all my gear including a baby seat. Yes I'm a whiner but you know what it's for good reason. We train hard so we could be ready for you guys. Our leadership, the Sgt's and Lt including the Chief could care less if something happens and you need us. They all gave take home cars but the rest of us suffer. They gave us take home cars a year ago only to take half of them back and there not even being used. Do your job Lt MM and Deputy Tina!!!! We all get screwed except the white shirts. Funny how they all have take home cars on SWAT but never show up.
