The List
We didn't post the list at first because it was still a work in progress thanks to the incompetence of one Human Resources director.
Then we didn't post it because we were hoping someone else would do the heavy lifting for us.
Then we ended up typing it ourselves.

Who is the charming and mysterious Tactical Barbie? I hear that she is smart too.
Whose the merit picks?
What # on the list are they?
Collazo will be a great sergeant!! Congrats Liz!
DM from 012- WOW
KF from 012- on the other hand, will make a good boss
Once again nobody from 003. Ha Ha!!!
Congrats to John Tierney (014) and Ken Fowler (012) and his sister Jennifer Fowler (630). They are all great people. (Ret.) Sgt. Fowler was a great boss! He was always a true gentlemen. I wish all the candidates well. Congratulations!!!
Does anyone know if merit picks are from units or district patrol?
I heard that they r going up to 300 on the list without merit before the new list comes out sometime in 2014 or early 2015
Whose the merit picks?

It's not listed like under Jfed, but you can narrow it down to people NOT in patrol.
Who cares about the merit picks!.....and no Im not one of them just a blue shirt for the last 22 years. But I have seen more incompetent moron bosses that know how to take a test well. As long as the new supervisor knows how to have a p.o.'s back I can give 2 s@@@s about how he/she makes it.
Are any of these merit picks?
Once again nobody from 003. Ha Ha!!!

Can't remember the last time someone from 003 made it
Congrats to LIZ & ADAM from 017. Both are great people. Randy O'Carroll, now thats a joke, be careful around her boys & girls.
Congrats Liz C., Mike G. And John T. You will make good sergeants!
Congrats Lourdes!!!!!!!! Well deserved and a wonderful person.
Congrats Ty Ty!!!
Congrats to MG of 011, now you can be anti establishment as a SGT.
Congrats SP from 010, well deserved. Great cop.
Don't know a soul on the list, but I wish you all well. Please don't forget too quickly what it's like to wear the blue shirt. Remember when you'd come across a really good Sgt and say to yourself "Now that's a good boss"? Try to be that person. Have the backs of those that work for you and they will have yours. Be fair, consistent, understanding and kind. Good luck to all!
Can anyone confirm what number they are on with the eligibility list?
The list is now at 207. Good luck to next round.
Welcome to the "southside" to all the new sergeants!! If you have them, get your phone calls in early.
How many people on this list were on the detectives list???
I heard they are going to make detectives...
Is there any truth to this ???? I'm hoping!!!! I moved up about 10 spots on the detective's list when they put out the last sgts list.
Bohdan, don't do it!! Your CRAZY if you leave the airport!!
Wow I didnt think the girl from 005even had the time on to take the test when they gave it way back when..
Again, not what you know, but who you know. Keep working hard. Lol lol
Thanks for posting this, SCC!
Congrats KP! Glad it all worked out.

Is that the Fowlers of the famous brush company?
Rashan Is a great copper. I think he will make a great Sgt. Congratulations.
Congrats Jimmy C from 193.....the real deal.
Time to retire when you don't recognize any names on the sgt list
they are around 203 +or- 5
How many of the names on the sgt's list are the children of cpd supervisors, command staff or alderman?
Should have to disclose close ties.

4 years and leave with a much better pension and hundreds of additional hours on the books.
First, congrats to all that made it. Second , since ur bashing ladner, i wondered if anyone mentioned how she is screwing up the wellness program that the sgts n above got saddled with by their unions. One of the promises made was that the 30 minute screening could be done on duty during your tour. They seem to think however that everyone works second watch on only two days cause thats all they are offering. The program is barely operational and they are f'n it up already. At least the FOP didnt roll over on that yet like the PBPA did;
With the 1998 sergeant's exam/list the list produced 4 large classes and went all the way to about #550 off the list.
With merits there were over 700 sergeants made.
You won't see that many made off a list for a long time.
Many sergeants/officers that were hired in the late 1960's early
1970's were retiring.
This was the reason for such large promotions off that list.
"Who is the charming and mysterious Tactical Barbie? I hear that she is smart too."
Say what you will, but it turns out she IS smart...she got the Hell outta here!
Congrats Liz.. well deserved, u will b miss !!!
That lady Karen is a good person, she had Jody' ear and he did good things for the CPD by taking her advise.
I retired with over 30 plus yoj. What I heard, the lady did the CPD right ahd so did Jody.
You hair gels got your wishes come true, Jody gone and a idiot runs the FOP. Live with the Jersey boy and a punk who knows all at FOP.
Us old timers knew it was over when Daley hit the bricks.
The list is past 209. Lets just say I know for sure one of the late additions was 209. That means somebody past 209 took a spot until Ladner's mistake was corrected.
Congrats to all!!!!
They stopped at 207 on Sgt's list. They are going to be making another Sgt's class in November. They will also be having a detectives class in December.

She is the president and founder of the Women’s Tactical Association, a charity that brings tactical training to female law enforcement. She joined Motorola Solutions in November 2011 as the manager of Government Public Relations. She was formerly employed as a typical copette that cruises through an entire career with very minimal exposure to any type of district law enforcement or nightshift/weekend work. Following the copette paradigm once the special treatment slowed and nights/weekends and districts became a reality she fled law enforcement like a cat fleeing water. This is very typical of the special child copette experience. She holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a Master’s from DePaul University."
Congrats Ken Fowler from 012. You will be one hell of a great boss and we will miss you on the watch!!
Congrats DD from 610. A helluva copper in 007.

And Of Course You Were A Suckhole From Daleys Era !!!!!!
merits are in hiding again?
Congrats to Sosa from 008
Congrats to cousin Jimmy C! Best of luck!
Lot of ass kissers from 189 and 193 on this list. Does anyone make it off the list anymore from there?
Am i mistaken or did the city just make a sgt out of a woman who pulled a gun in a domestic; and ended up shooting herself. Followed by a year on medical to recover, followed by a long "call back" assignment, only to be fired for all the right reasons....sued to get job back and the goof gets reinstated.......if this lady is that person things are beyond rotten in the promotional process.Seriously I hope that this is just a person with the same 1st name, if not lookout folks when she is assigned your district. clearly smart and crazy with a gun!
Congratulations Anton..you deserve it!!!
