Preckwinkle Leaves the Field
- Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle declared Tuesday that she won’t run for mayor, leaving union and community groups angry over Chicago’s violent crime, school closings and teetering finances searching for a credible candidate to take on Mayor Rahm Emanuel next year.
The decision is a boost to Emanuel’s bid for a second term and ensures he won’t have to square off against a popular, countywide elected official capable of uniting disparate voters from the South and West Sides with lakefront liberals.
For months, Emanuel’s detractors had lobbied for Preckwinkle to become the movement candidate that rode to office on a groundswell, overcoming Emanuel’s enormous campaign fund, political pedigree and support of the city’s elite.
Karen Lewis's numbers just jumped significantly.
So a short, 9.5 fingered, lying, anti-union socialist one-percenter versus a short, loud-mouth, commie, racist. Sounds like another win-win for Chicago.

Reliable polling as reported by the Scumtimes and the Chicago Tribunal has it that Karen Lewis could be this generation's Jane Byrne. Her persona and message once both are polished and tweaked could broaden her appeal beyond Englewood,Gresham, and the Westside expanding her base into the Liberal Lakefront Wards, Humboldt Park, Uptown, and even progressive areas of Sauganash. Get ready Chicago for an interesting campaign as Karen's persona could swiftly swamp the other M1 candidate's campaign before it starts. That would make her the presumptive Democrat candidate and her Republican opponent the next Bernie Epton. Wow what an upcoming show. I am glad to be a member of the KMA Society.

Take a look at the border and Obama's refusal to enforce immigration laws and deport illegal aliens -- it is part of a massive scam to flood the USA with welfare check voters to overwhelm the working classes.

Newsflash: Chicago has not had partisan mayoral elections since 1991. Party labels are no longer required to run for mayor and there is no party primary any longer. There is an election and, if no candidate pulls 50.1% or more a possible run-off election for the top two finishers in round one.
Not much of a choice, but my vote is for whomever is running against Rahm. Heck Rod B would get my vote. This fucking midget rahm needs to be OUT.

Do not underestimate Ms. Lewis just because she looks like a heart attack in progress. She was a teacher for over 20 years, so she is the Real Deal when it comes to working in the trenches. She is a graduate of an Ivy League college at a time when she was the only Black Female in her class. And she defeated the previous entrenched Teachers Union establishment. She has become a Jew by religion and she has been married to the same guy, whom she refers to as: "An Old School Brother." Da Machine at this point is old and worn, she could beat him. Unless Rahm can mobilize the Latinos over Immigration. On other issues she could split the Liberals and many of Rahm's financial supporters do not even live or vote in Shitcago.
Karen Lewis will start the busing program back up. Get ready.

I am a CPS teacher and support Karen Lewis. Union members should support Karen (CPS teachers, police, firemen and firewoman, CTA workers, etc.). Karen fought for the teachers, is well spoken, and can take on the press (unlike our current mayor). I didn't agree with everything from our last contract but who gets the perfect contract? I want a union person in as mayor fighting for the people (teachers, police, fire, etc.), and someone who knows how to negotiate and is flexible. Do we want Rahm (corporate boy and anti-union mayor) or someone like him, or do we want Karen? I will vote for Karen Lewis as mayor.

If I get elected Mayor I am changing the name of the Daley Center to the Jane Byrne Center and I am putting it in granite on all points of the compass in front of the building. Anything with the name "Daley" on it will be given to the junkers to be sold for scrap.
I will demand a Federal investigation into the Daley administration and if Daley pulls his childish "medical hardship" crap I will send the police to carry him to court in a stinky old police squadrol.
In between court appearances he is kept at 2600 S California Ave via intake, Division 5 like every other common criminal. He gets a cell with his new husband, Bubba.

Well Thanks Office! Gosh I am so glad you clarified your remarks. So I am safe to assume it includes the perpetrator of the Sandy Hook massacre, the anti-government m2 and F2 offenders who shot two of our brother police officers in Las Vegas before punking out and committing suicide, and also those two beasts at Columbine.
I guess it also applies to that non tax paying scam artist Clive Bundy who caused a tremendous waste of tax dollars as federal forces were mobilized due to him scamming the tax payers worse than a 1970's welfare queen.
