- Brian Howard, 36, of Naperville has been charged with one count of Destruction of Aircraft or Aircraft Facilities after he allegedly set a fire in the basement of an Aurora FAA facility, cut the feeds to the radar and damaged the communications system, forcing a ground stop at Chicago's O'Hare and Midway international airports, ABC7 sources said.
"This is a local issue with a contract employee," Aurora Police Chief Greg Thomas said. "There is no terrorist act."
Aside from the fact that air traffic ground to a halt in the midwest for hours, over a thousand flights were canceled, tens of thousands delayed, and it might be weeks before the Aurora facility reopens, but hey - no terrorism here!

After he was terminated from Vaughan Foods in Moore, Alton Nolen, 30, drove to another part of the facility where he attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, police said. He used a “standard” knife to behead her, police said. He then allegedly used the same knife to repeatedly stab Traci Johnson, 43. Some co-workers told police that he had recently converted to Islam and had been trying to convert them.

How about Thursday OHare having to empty the terminal after an "incendiary device" was located in to suitcase in the Delta baggage area and then there was the suspicious package Wednesday that caused the terminal to be emptied. If anyone doesn't think these are terrorist "probing" incidents they are crazy
Wanna hear even scarier? I live in Logan Square, and normally, if I look northwest, I can see the line of planes on the flight path going toward O'Hare. None of that tonight - it reminds me of 09/11, the skies were so quiet that night. Well, tonight, while I was sitting outside, just looking up (11:00-ish), TWO passenger planes flew sooooo low! I mean, super-low! Like in those neighborhoods near O'Hare/Midway!!! It's not unusual to see such low flying planes in those areas, but I've never seen that so close to home! Very Scary!

The last I believe is what is known as work place violence. It is only terrorism when our president, state department, DOJ or FBI declares that it is terrorism. Even then, in the U.S. it is never Islamic terrorism. Our president is the best judge of what is and, is not terrorism. He makes the rules. It is sort of like when a white kills or injures a black, it is a hate crime. However, when a black kills a white, it is just homicide, or even justifiable homicide. That is how our modern society works.
The knock out game is not a hate crime, so why should these be terrorist acts. No need to get the population all worked up and agitated.

It seems there are six critical facilities which if taken out can black out the entire country. (cascade effect, like the east coast black out a number of years ago) In Calif a major substation was taken down by a sniper punching holes in a critical transformers draining the cooling oil causing them to overheat. FBI investigation. No arrests. Nut Job, disgruntled employee or a practice run?

This happened in aurora they will earn their pay! Airport is getting crowded so many police,now more are coming wonder who the new clout management will be? Heard it's all wysinger people, he's leaving soon wants all his people in place,like the guy who got to Ohare last period and is now saying he's leaving because no more overtime what a goof! The FAA's computer systems are so old and out of date it isn't funny. They keep saying they don't have the time, the money, the resources, etc to develop, build, test and install a new system for air traffic control.
Meanwhile, the Europeans are successfully opening new airports. One would think that would mean they'd be building new air traffic control centers (what FAA calls TRACON). This one mope's idiocy wouldn't have taken O'Hare and Midway out if there was a modern, redundant and robust air traffic control system. Hey, FAA - get a clue!
There is an excellent article about what working conditions are like for air traffic controllers in a major tower in the east, written by former pilot William Langanschneider. Google for it. It's a great read.
In re: Oklahoma headchopper --
Oklahoma State Police put a stop on him in 2010 for having a paper tag. Woman and kids in car, ofc. thought she was just dealing with a poor family. Then f__er starts fighting the cuffs. Ofc. had just come back from a year IOD, titanium plates in her arm from fighting another offender.
Today, she says, "Seeing what he was capable of today, I wish I'd killed him back then when I had the opportunity."

Guy was hacking on a second gal employee when the Vaughn Foods CEO came out -- also happened to be a reserve deputy sheriff -- and shot him to end the attack.

"(CNN) -- Fifteen people, many of them teenagers and some as young as 11, were shot early Sunday morning at a Miami nightclub, Miami-Dade police reported.
"Police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said the victims ranged in age from 11 to 25 and were taken to area hospitals.
"Several victims were released from hospitals Sunday afternoon and a person who'd earlier been listed as critical was upgraded to critical but stable, police said in a news release.
"It's not clear whether the nightclub catered to teenagers. No public safety officials have explained why so many youths 16 and younger were inside a nightclub after the midnight Miami-Dade County curfew.
"Authorities said the shooting happened about 1 a.m. at The Spot nightclub at NW 64th Street and Seventh Avenue.
"CNN affiliate WPLG said a large party was being held when shooting broke out. Witnesses told police they heard about 100 gunshots, WPLG reported."
