Let's Grow Some Weed!

  • Three companies that want to be among the city's first medical marijuana dispensaries won zoning approval Friday, but still need state license.

Three fledgling companies that want to be among the city's first medical marijuana dispensaries cleared an initial hurdle Friday when the Zoning Board of Appeals granted them special use permits to set up shop.

But even with zoning approval in hand, all three will still be competing for the limited number of licenses to be granted by state regulators within eight geographical areas of the city.

  • Most of the questions from board members related to security, and each of the would-be operators trotted out security chiefs with extensive resumes.

Green Thumb has hired Terrance Gainer, the former Congressional sergeant at arms.

Kind Care, which seeks the Elston Avenue spot, has hired Zvi Kremer, a former security manager for El Al Airlines in Moscow and Chicago.

And Professional Pharmacy Management — the partnership between longtime pharmacist Barry Golin and brothers Doug and Danny Marks —has hired Michael Chasen, who retired after 39 years at the Chicago Police Department as chief deputy of detectives, to run security at its proposed shop on Milwaukee Avenue.
Wow. The connected Gainers, the ex-Chief of Detectives, an international airline security boss. How ever will Quinn/Madigan/Rahm choose to grow the medicinal weed? Maybe some sort of "sharing" among the connected?

Is it just us or does this remind anyone of the defunct Chicago casino license? That had a Who's Who list of connected rich folks looking to get richer.

This whole weed legalization thing brings to mind the Opium war between China and Britain. The British operated poppy fields in India. The British then sold opium to middlemen in China in exchange for silver. The result was lots of addicted opium addicts in China and lots of silver for the British Empire.

Lots of people on social security disability entitlements seem to have just enough money to get by and somehow are able to scrounge up a few shekels to buy that smoking weed. This degenerate class does not require opium but rather the democrat party’s HOPEium to get through the day after collecting from the working class helping rise up that national debt. Get a free check for doing nothing and you to will be a HOPEium fiend. Cannabis dumbs and numbs people down so populations are easily controlled.

Obviously there is modern day silver, a.k.a. government transfer payments, which these conniving fat cat democrat connected scheisters seek to cash in on and make those evil corporate six figure plus profits. The Italian mob aspiring pinky ring fantasizing Chasen rose through the ranks to a coveted six figure gold star pension with a little help from the controlling big democrat money crews from the north shore. Make arrests, do police work, get lots of awards, stay out of trouble and off the disciplinary radar screen will get you nowhere. Chasen was represented by big money and served their interests. It’s all legit, right blue shirt? Keep up the good work while the power that be keep a tight rein on you through their appointed and anointed henchmen cronies.

Even that billionaire democrat donor George Schwartz better known as George Soros knows that oppressed people need their daily medicine or medicinal weed. Soros knows there is a lot of money to be made and in addition, a more controllable political class of people to perpetuate his influence and power. That why he publically supports reefer legalization.

Oh, boo fucking boo. So what they open a weed shop in 016. Its a medical marijuana shop, not a recreational one like the ones in Washington or Colorado. So relax douche. Besides have you even looked into what you have to have to even get a medical marijuana card in Illinois? You pretty much have to be on your death bed. So don't worry there won't be any stoners driving around your hood or hanging out. You probably also think weed is a gateway drug too.

Heh...

Kind of like all the maneuvering behind the curtains for the No-Lympic bid...

The made members of Daley Inc. were hot and greasy with greed, arrogance and an overblown sense of entitlement.

Everything was already divvied up, multi-billion dollar contracts were already drawn up and signed and the skim was already calculated.

See:
>Shadowy figures darting furtively from doorway to doorway with nice leather architect portfolios stuffed with uncut sheets of new issue $100K Gold Certificates because the thievery would be too massive to accomplish by regular means of bricks of $100 USC notes<

A lot of the same names we've been seeing for the last 40 years...

And no doubt, the usual cast of characters hiding in the shadows.

We hope that this money making venture grenades in their anxiously awaiting faces with multiple catastrophic casualties just like the other overheated "let's steal some money" schemes that the clouted in Chicago love to engage in.

Usually at great tax payer expense...

1992 World Fair/500th Anniversary of Columbus' landing in the New World.

The numerous pushes for a land based Chicago casino.

2016 Olympic bid.

...And others.

Funny...
They usually failed because they couldn't settle on how to lock the churls out of the revenue stream/divvy up the skim to keep all the inside players happy and quiet. Can't have any inside people jaw-jacking to the Feds because they felt like they were cut out of their "fair share" of the thievery.

Reason why Daley Inc. pushed "Him Self" to the White House?

Naawwwww...
That can't POSSIBLY be the case.
Right?

>Snicker!<

As is often said here...
Follow the money.

These weed companies hired the lightweights Terry Gainer, Michael Chasen and a foreign national Zvi Kremer to lobby on their behalf. Lightweights. Things get done with a lot less red tape and faster with the right “people”, wink, wink. A better lobbyist would be Loretta Durbin, the wife of Illinois Senator “little dick” Durbin. When you see “little dick” talking excessively about the evils of corporate lobbyists, overlook the apparent nepotism with this 32 year career politician. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Oh by the way Loretta Durbin was a paid lobbyist of Wyeth, one of those big pharmaceutical companies Senator little dicky rallied against to get government mandated, government controlled healthcare on the unwashed masses. Hypocrites, I tell you, hypocrites. Some people will say anything to get elected, but overlook and put aside that same public rhetoric condemnation speech for mass consumption, if there is an opportunity for family to get paid real big and fat. On second thought, maybe this Kremer is not a lightweight. Doesn’t el-al get its on runway on departure and arrivals at O’Hare along with the accompanying exclusive CPD escort and its passengers forgo that harassing long wait everyday Joe TSA stuff for its own security checkpoint. Now that’s power through big money single political party contributions and control.

Democrats get first crack at all the good stuff.
------------------

1.) medical marijuana is set at a price that completely diminishes it's resale value. A ounce of the stuff is going to go for the same price the weed on the street is. Same with a gram, eights, quaters etc. if not a little more.

2.) this is a city of over 2 million, in the middle of the map, controlled by mexican drugs. They're heroin and cocaine may be good, but their weed? Not at all. The market for high grade weed is here, high grade weed is already here, and so this medical stuff will just have a special name on it.

Ahhh, the new mantra of the left as it has been received from the worst president in our Country's history.

Alcohol, in moderation, is has it's benefits. There are food pairings, and complex spirits to be enjoyed. Wine is good for the heart, again in moderation.

Not the case with marijuana. You toke to get stoned. You cannot operate a motor vehicle after imbibing even a small amount, but it will happen. The caricature of the stoner is an accurate picture and you know it. So is the caricature of a drunk, but you have to work at it. Marijuana makes it easy to sit out life and we have endangered our youth by making it easier to get. I didn't need Fox News to see that.

Having worked the inner city most of my career I can tell you it was part of the life style of most of my arrestees. Apples and oranges, friend.

It was illegal back in our day. It was well hidden (or they tried)and I don't believe we had a test for it on the street. It is a soul stealer and will be a huge problem for this next generation if they legalize it.

regardless who gets the security gig, you make it sound like they will be riding a bike around a street corner operation. It's going to be a licensed, inspected, controlled and taxed operation. Yea, taxed. MAYBE (but not likely) the tax dough will go to public service pensions. Or cars, or facilities.

Like it or not, it's coming, and so is legalization overall. Just look at the financials from Colorado. There is just too much money to be made by cities and states. Alcohol, tobacco, gambling and now weed. All harming the user, and benefitting the government.

Makes you proud to be an American doesn't it?
