Nice Leadership Picks

If you chose a moron to run certain parts of your business, choosing incompetence over skill, would it really be a surprise when the endeavor went under? Behold three of the most notorious Commanders, people held up as paragons of commander-hood and worthy of his trust:
  • Pena, currently under suspension
  • Evans, currently under indictment
  • West, currently presiding over the largest single increase in shootings and homicides
This guy picks commanders the way certain prognosticators pick football winners.

The best part is the moron XO in 011 is constantly walking around telling anyone that will listen how commander Evans is innocent. Talking about all the holes in the case. Talking on how the charges don't apply. He's worse than some crackhead you catch mid burglary using every excuse under the sun to try to make you believe something totally different than what you just witnessed with your own two eyes. Hey XO Buscemi --- Evans knows what happened that night, the guy that had his tonsils tickled with Evans pistol knows what happened that night , YOU know what happened that night and anybody that knows the commander knows what happened that night. All that is neither here nor there. What IS here nor there and makes all the difference in the word is that the officers who gave grand jury testimony about what happened that night. Quit running your mouth XO, your not helping the bosses cause. If you had ever been the police you would know about running your mouth.

10/21/2014 12:33:00 AM

Best commander? Ha! You obviously ain't been around too long. He ain't the worst either tho. But if one has even an ounce of brains in their head they'd know when to clean a gun. I'd rather have a boss that's smart over one who after almost 3 decades on the job hasn't learned to control his temper and doesn't realize it's no longer 1986. If he ain't smart enough to adjust to the times he is not smart enough to be running a district-simple as that. I came on with Evans and he was a loose cannon from day one. Anyone that's been around him for more than a minute knows this. And McCarthy promoting a guy like this does more harm than good in the long run. I hope Evans walks away from his criminal case but he needs to be returned to his civil-service rank (which he earned his own) if and when he returns to the job. You dummies singing his praises and cupping his ball sack need to realize that 'cool' bosses aren't necessarily the best bosses. And I won't even get started on his nitwit sidekick Lemmer. He's also been a jag off since day one in the Academy. His daddy was a Lt. who made sure little Tommy got the royal treatment and was plugged into the right people. Ask him how he was almost in tears when now Lieut. Harvey R. outscored him in academy tests. The bottom line here? Both Evans and Lemmer are toxic and need to be avoided if at all possible.

True. While the CCSAO is a far cry from the most competent in the land, they wouldn't have indicted Evans on multiple charges if they didn't have a good case. DNA on pistol. POs gave testimony vs. Evans. Victim passed more than 2 polygraphs. You Evans cheerleaders need to face the facts regardless of how good a guy he is he fucked up and now he has to lay the piper. And like it or not he is a cop and therefore held to a higher standard. That's why they're trying to hammer him. He may have a winnable civil suit when all Is said and done cuz of the bucal swabs being discarded and other 'things' that will come into play but he is toast on the criminal charges, whether they're reduced to misdemeanors or not. As for Lemmer? He's a punk that has nothing in his life but this job. He's an out of touch micromanaging piece of shit that lives to be a company man. I feel bad for you people in 011. But hang in there cuz Tommy will soon be gone as he rides Evans' nuts wherever he goes and he sure as hell won't be going back to 011.

That captain was so cheap and set in his ways that for years after he retired he would show up at the police station on the day the supply order came in (someone would call him) and he would load up on toilet paper, brown paper towels, copy paper and anything else he wanted. The guy was so accustomed to wiping his ass with free City of Chicago toilet paper that he carried the habit into retirement.

I wonder if he ever had to actually buy toilet paper or paper towels at the store. He must have broken out crying if so.

I would wonder who that little old man was walking around with an armful of industrial toilet paper and brown paper towels and someone said "Oh, that's Captain Smith."

And to think people on this blog pine for the "good old days." Are you shitting me?

Are you fking joking?!?! A captain of police who couldn't buy his own tp and paper towels?? Absolutely pathetic! The copppers at the G.J. buried Glenn Evans. He will be convicted, job and pension gone.
The G.J is a powerful tool and the cooper' wherein the switches. Feel bad for all involved in this mess.
Proactive copper' is a thing of the past. The felon who alleges this incident will get a few bucks, his lawyer' nice bucks and the mutt will never see 30 yoa anyway. He will atill live as a mutt.
Look at that Sgt that gave a crack to a banger a few years ago. The mutt spit in his face and he was suppose to take it.
Punks MaMa is in IRPA and the poor sgt got convicted of agg. battery. Total BS. Anyone know if the sgt got jail time.
LE is urban cities is gone. Blame the police for all the ills of the hood.
The dicks should base all their cases on only witness statements. Give the mutts their right a dozen times. Years later they will say you tuned them up for a confession.
Heart goes out to all you poor guys that got too many years to retirement. Bless you all.

So you are saying the coppers should have lied in the GJ and fucked themselves and their familes for some wealthy clouted boss? Do you think any boss would ever do that for a P.O.? I can tell you that it never will happen. When a P.O. gets jammed he's very alone and there sure the hell won't be a boss lying for him.

Are you fking joking?!?! A captain of police who couldn't buy his own tp and paper towels?? Absolutely pathetic! He should've been fired for theft- and it probably wasn't the only thing he was stealing. If he was doing this and everyone knew about it, imagine the shit he was doing that he actually tried to hide. What a loser- making six figures and can't spend a few bucks on personal goods at the store! God, where the hell do these people come from?!?!

10/22/2014 09:00:00 AM

That's the old school police some people get all misty eyed over.

That was twenty years ago and I doubt that captain made six figures legally. Not at that time. But yes, it is true and yes, he was a thief down to the rolls of toilet paper and brown paper towels. Yes, he was disgusting.

More job satisfaction in welding. Do you think Ed Burke, anyone in the Daley Family or Rahm have ever taken any poli sci classes? Poli Sci professors get on WGN radio and predict the obvious. The real politicians in this town are trained by their family and made with clout.

I believe that there was always a suspicion that Thanassouras was killed by his own Chicago Police friends who were afraid he was talking to the Feds about being the bag man in 15th district.

10/22/2014 06:29:00 AM

There is absolutely no doubt he talked to the Feds. He did so to get out of jail and save his own ass. He put people in prison. He wasn't the bag man. The bag man gave to him, he was the Commander.

Cmdr, James Carroll, I mean Lt. James Carroll, is not decreased. He is alive and just as miserable as when he was a boss. Saw him a while back and unfortunately stopped to say hi, his attitude was just as arrogant and condescending as when he was my boss, talking down and talking at me, not talking to me. He was a great copper and a great sergeant - a great guy, who snapped under the pressure of being a boss, and unfortunately turned into a real prick. Jody dumped him and 25 other bosses, but he still is bitter about it.

Read it again. No one said that the copper' should of lied. Fuck no. They did what they had to do. Read the entire comment sir. Poor P.O.' got caught in the grinder in all this. Evan' screwed himself if all is true.

Re Evans
Please do your homework.
No officers went to gj.
Only IPRA did.
and there are huge problems with IPRA investigation.
The investigators maybe getting charged themselves.
DNA supports Evans.
Evans is going to go through hell but will be ok iin long run.
I reviewed the file and have internal knowledge of this case.

Commander Thanosaurus Rex was working as a bar back at a strip club owned by a shady Greek guy at the time. They thought they were above the Outfit and weren't paying the required kickbacks. That's another theory as to why he was killed. I'm pretty sure the owner got killed as well but I can't recall his name.

Get your facts straight concerning the fall of Lorraine Kowalski, 29, from the 90th floor apt. of Marshall Berlin (not her husband) at the Hancock Bldg. in the early morning hours of August 11, 1971.
The case was handled by then Sgt. Joseph DiLeonardi. A coroner's jury returned the manner of death as "undetermined". It was believed that a solid iron ashtray shattered the double pane window before Ms. Kowalski fell to her death. Obvious cause of death: "trauma extreme".
