So....We Get a Refund Now?

On one hand, this justifies Rahm closing 50 schools.

  • Chicago Public Schools’ official enrollment dipped below 400,000 for the first time in years, the district announced Tuesday, having lost nearly 4,000 total students from last year.

CPS reported its enrollment, counted on the 20th day of school at 396,683, or about 3,800 fewer students than the 400,545 enrolled in the 2013-14 school year at every kind of school. Ten years ago, the district had nearly 427,000 students enrolled across neighborhood, charter and contract schools.
Serving less and less students, but costs keep going up and up. Sounds like a broken economic model that might lead into a financial death spiral. You know, like Detroit.

I assume that count includes all the unaccompanied illegal immigrant children that Rahm/Obama brought in.

Which means of course that the flight out of Chicago is worse than expected.

It's World-Class.

I doubt they are counting the thousands of kids that unexpectedly arrived here from South and Central America.

Hmmm...
So nastalgic... We remember the days when around three-quarter million kids were attending CPS.

We wonder what happened other than we got old?

Over inflated with employee's that they do not need on the Admin level.

Kind of like the Admin. Mgr. at the Academy.
Why is she still on the payroll.
She never shows up for work.
(claims she is in many, many meetings)
Honestly, who can believe her b.s.
And why is she still on the payroll?

It Will Take 398,879,561 Years To Pay Off The US Government's Debt

The US government’s debt is getting close to reaching another round number - $18 trillion. It currently stands at more than $17.9 trillion. But what does that really mean? The Social Security Administration just released data for the average yearly salary in the US in fiscal year that just ended. It stands at $44,888.16. The current debt level of over $17.9 trillion would thus take more than 398 million years of working at the average wage to pay off.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-10-22/it-will-take-398879561-years-pay-us-governments-debt

Wasn't it Cheney who said the debt doesn't matter? Maybe it doesn't.

If the debt doesn't matter what the hell we all working for? Just borrow and print more money.

Are we all fools being held captive by some old ritual that was invented to keep society per-occupied?

Seriously, look at the math. This thing is gonna collapse it's only a question of when unless of course the debt doesn't matter.

On the other hand if the debt matters and we can't pay it as taxes, fines, and fees go crazy the final draw will be asset seizure by our creditors which basically means our bank accounts, cars, and even our property, our homes that we think we own.

We will all be held accountable for what the political apparatus has done.

Heh, and try and file a FOIA request to see where some of our money is being spent and they tells us no or play games losing the request, delaying the request, redacting the request. Hey, they work for us!! What do you mean no!

Thankfully Chicago is a sanctuary city, like Los Angeles. Like LA, Chicago will never loose a significent amount of population. It will always attract large amounts of immigrants from the third world, and Muslim refugees.

Do they count all the kids diverted to those private charter schools we as taxpayer pay for?

There's too many contracts involved with the schools to be cutting any budgets, property taxes skyward for the few precious children.

The problem with the schools is they teach lies like climate change.
