So....
...what were the survey results?
FOP asked everyone to let them know what the membership wanted, then didn't endorse anyone.
Is this going to be like that "morale survey" that J-Fled ran with the promise that if it was negative in nature, he'd resign and go away? No one ever saw hide nor hair of that survey after that statement. But there's J-Fled, walking with Chuy Garcia in the parade downtown today.

I wouldn't worry about Jody. Chuy won't rehire him, so that's not an issue. (Jody's been there and not been too successful at that.)
BUT, to the citizens of Chicago, the fact that a former Superintendent of Police is tacitly endorsing Chuy Garcia, makes it a big deal.
In the short run, helping to get through the election, this is a good thing. In the long run, it'll have almost no importance.
Chuy don't walk next Jody. You'll lose the police vote.
My guess is we split the vote between us as well.
Our endorsement means nothing anyways
Why is that evil fucker still around? The master mind of that survey still has a cush spot too.Clout rules!
Who was the better Supt, McDrunkard or Weiss?
J-Fled is being paid by Accenture to promote the Body Camera usage by writing Oped pieces. The game is that he believes that it will distance himself from a public corruption charge because of a degree of separation.
Sorry Charlie, this is the most egregious violation I have seen in a career of law enforcement.
Sounds just like Cozzi
Vote Chuy that's our only hope. Rahm will not hire any more P.O.'s. Garcia will hire atleast 1,000 officers, it's a no brainer, Vote Chuy, Rahm had his chance and blew it!
Chuy, Chuy, Chuy !!!
L.A.P.A.
Rahm is backing Mary O'Connor (41ward) vote both of them out!!!Good Luck Naps were pullin for you buddy!
RUN, J-FLED, RUN!
(da other way)
The only important poll is the one that is counted on Election Day.
The Demo-communists have made vote fraud a well honed craft. They will steal votes in any way they can from the living and the dead.
So we need to get every cop and every cop's family member to vote. Our needs have to be heard not those of the non-productive and non-citizens.
Questions still to be answered:
What was Deano and other FOP brass promised after their retirement from Rahm and for what?
What will Rahm get as pension for one term as Mayor?
For that matter what will McCarthy get? It may not be on the books of the Policeman's Annuity Fund but it may be some super secret slush fund pension like Shortshans is getting.
Regardless of what the survey results produced, the FOP should not get involved in endorsing an individual unless they are a member of a public safety organization. This should be the policy going forward including this election. Nothing helps to forward the FOP's agenda in local races!
Jfled? And Garcia is who you are backing for mayor. Just Richie in a different form. 90% huh more like 65 and dropping. Remember those telemundo commercials 'I'm for the Mexicans" clearly stated. Rather Czar rahm then Stalin Garcia and this liberal fed up our ass again
Reality Poll
90 % of coppers are savvy, see though BS and want Rahm gone
10 % are dumb enough to fall for the 30 million in paid propoganda and vote against their family interests
FOP = Total and complete FAILURE!
Everyone I talked to voted to endorse Garcia, so naturally the FOP backs nobody. Dean is a punk bitch just like Rahm.
I'll stick with Rahm. I know what I'm getting. Chuy? This goof is promising the world , but how to pay for it?
Let's just hope and pray that Chuy Garcia has the good sense to leave J-Fled where he belongs, on the sidelines, if Chuy succeeds as the next Mayor of Chicago. You know J-Fled is angling for SOMETHING to crawl out of his hide-hole and be seen embracing Chuybacca! Maybe J-Fled is angling to run IPRA?
God save us all!
It was a tie. Just like Deb Mell election. Oh never mind. She won by two votes as the absentees mailed their votes in.
on the topic of elections and promises. back in MAY of 2014 Dean sent out a message in the monthly news letter pledging that he would reduce the President's salary from E-8 to E-6 and would remove the $600 a month stipend for all full-time field reps. from what I understand this reduction in pay was secretly reinstated without any news from the union that this took place. why wasn't this announced in the monthly news letter and why weren't the members informed. anyone have any answers?
Corrupt
The lodge has turned the corner.
I hope the next Candidates for the lodge start going to meetings.
The old man pizza brigade that run the hall need to go out to pasture.

Now rahm wants a casino! Maybe the fop was waiting for this announcement?
Better Vote for Chuy or they'll go after the districts on the list
Thanks DeaNo and *Jr
Our Dues $$$$ used against US
OT: wasn't the ot check suppose to find in with the pay check?
Did survey from fop via email no results? As usual dean who really does not belong in that position is mad because his guy rahm obviously did not get more than 2% of the vote! Dean your not speaking out about our pension, your still getting yours by the disability lol claim and taking that huge salary from fop scooping our money where are the tax forms filed? How much of our dues money have you paid out? Any to family and friends?
I got my March newsletter with the survey in the mail yesterday, March 14th. When will I get the results of the survey? Sometime in May? Forget to put something in the mailbox, Deano?
I was wondering the same thing. My guess is that what the membership wanted (Chuy) is not the same thing that the leadership wanted (Tiny Dancer).
There were people dumped over it though.
was J-Fled really walking with Chew?
I was at the unit rep meeting when they asked for the votes. Across the board it was unanimous chuy. But, very very good points were made about rahm and chuy. No way in hell rahm would be endorsed but chuy is not our friend no matter what he claims. Bottom line is chuy does not like the cpd. Chuy is also Todd strogers guy and cut from the same cloth. Chuy is very anti police especially cpd. He organized anti cpd community rallies in the late 90s and he spoke and attended several ferguson anti police rallies during the ferguson events. He is very close with His son...which u can't blame him for but he is very bitter against the cpd about the treatment of his son, his sons arrest and the lack of "respect" he was given by cpd in the past by the cpd not giving his kid a pass because chuy was a politician. Even when chuy would come to the station and tried to pull strings in 010 he was told to get out. He has a very very bitter taste in his mouth the cpd didn't respect his position them and didn't respect his position. He doesn't like us and he hates the 10th and 12th districts. He's a politician who wants to get elected... He will say or do anything just like rahm. Chuy is no better. Rahm will destroy our pensions and chuy will do the same. Chuy will also destroy this dept more than you think anyone ever could.
J-Fled had bad counsel from day 1, when he listened to Hilliard and set out to destroy Cozzi. That forever ended J-Fled's credibility. However, he did change the hours, something that had been sought since the 80's. He did bring in training opportunities that had before only existed for the "Chosen", he brought in rifles, and he was smart enough to retain the City-Wide Mobile Units that had been effective for the prior 40 yrs. Also add, that he never exploded threw tantrums or displayed the arrogance of "We do it dis way in Nu Yauk." Weiss was someone who would listen and take the advice of our people in ways McCarthy would not even consider. Remember, you did not have the exodus of bosses under Weiss that has taken place under McCarthy. So after all is said, and I never thought I'd say this; Weiss would be a relief compared to Mc."G"
Possum head is vying for a third pension.
Based on the average return of any election or voting by this department they probably only got 3 returned emails.
If everyone would stop being so fucking lazy and register to vote, then actually vote, or just return simple mailings/emails from the FOP then maybe we could be a factor.
Right now we are pretty irrelevant to any politician since nobody gets involved aside from bitching.
Just my guess.
FOP is a complete joke run by a "disabled" moron! Dean only cares about his next job as City Colleges Chancellor and Dean jr as merit Sergeant. That's why I didn't vote for the snake. Wake up people Dean is selling us all out!
I'm glad I scored well on the Sgt exam and soon I won't be part of this corrupt union run by a stooge for Rahm. Whatever your getting Dean I hope it was worth it. You are pathetic. And to think everyone said Shields was in bed with Rahm. Well that couldn't have been farther from the truth.

I don't vote based on innuendo and that's what your whole post is.

So, you've forgotten that day, early in Jody's tenure, when he called a bunch of high-ranking bosses into his office and told them 'your services are no longer required' and told them to retire or expect to be demoted.
We lost a LOT of talent, thanks to that meeting. And Jody killed whatever little respect I might be able to muster for him.
Rahm's loyalists are pressing folks to take yard signs. At some intersections, Emanuel is placing signs in the landscaped medians -- just like the run of the mill candidates without organizational support.
"Anonymous" at 9:33 AM:
You again.
How can you possibly dispute the FACT that COWARDICE and CPD leadership are mutually exclusive?
Do you want incontrovertible evidence (from his own mouth) that J-FLED is a lying COWARD?
If so, CLICK HERE
We await your response, "anonymous" at 9:33 AM.
P.S.: Could "anonymous" at 9:33 AM be the COWARD himself?
Let's see chuy kid gangbanger. Chuy main supporter alderman Munoz ex gang member father in prison for running a Gang sponsored photo studio. Wake up. This guy will be no friend to the police. The alternative isn't always better. Do your research.
Rahm and Mary O'Connor are bad, but I can see Chuy and O'Connor. Napolitano - no way. He thinks he is running for prom king.
I sent my ballot in to fop and checked the last box. I wrote in my favorite SGT for mayor. Then one and only and legendary 1020/1070.
He will whip the city into shape in no time. He will take command and control of the 5th floor and don't give him no back talk.
Just wait until his first press conference.

Can someone from the city explain to me why I got my reminder for my city sticker renewal sent from "The City of Chicago,City Clerks Office"
with a PO Box in Bedford Park?
WTF?

That's the "connected" company outsourced to handle the stickers now.

That's why she terminated Amish employees 2 days after her election, guess sue Mendoza is scaling back to save money, or is she hiring more of "her people." Hope her budget is slashed why pay these huge salaries time to abolish that office! An office that so much taxpayers money was spent for sue to have extensive remodeling done and expand her office, but your going to out source? Another waste of taxpayer money, or will she put it into police pensions the millions saved?
0933,idiot, J-fled came after Cline,go back in your mothers basement
If you think Deano gives a flying fuck about what you think, you can...
Kees me you fool!!!!
OT:
Jeffrey Williams, 20, has been arrested in the shooting of two police officers during last week's protests in Ferguson, Missouri, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch said today. Williams is charged with two counts of first-degree assault, among other charges, and is being held on a cash-only $300,000 bond.
An officer from Webster Groves, a St. Louis suburb, was shot at the high point of his cheek, just under his right eye, officials said. A second officer, from the St. Louis County Police Department, was hit in the shoulder and the bullet came out the middle of his back. Both men were treated and released.
3/15/2015 09:17:00 AM
Good fucking points. Be careful what you wish for. Chuey is anti police. But so is Rahm. So we are fucked either way. The bottom line is that politicians always look to see which way the wind is blowing and then act. Today the wind is blowing against us as police officers.

3/15/2015 07:50:00 AM
If you were paying attention for the last few years, you probably could have put this together.
Navy Pier is getting the big hotel. The casino goes into McCormack Place. That DePaul Stadium is really the music venue for the casino and they want to put that 'Blarney's Island' type bar island out on the lake near all of it.
The money is unbelievable. It will happen no matter who the mayor is. It's been in the planning stages for well over a decade. Chuy will probably steal less, so let's put him in the mayor's office.
Doesn't sound like a unified police department. U guys are about to screw yourselves.
Chuy Never had my Police Vote!!!! The things he said he's going to do are going to cost the city revenue. So where does the money come from Chuy? Everyone is still waiting. Or as someone said on the streets yesterday. Maybe all the illegal immigrants that have come over here and worked then sent the money home can call and have them send it back.
I am very unhappy with Dean Angelo, he does nothing but sit in the shadows and hope his tenure is very quiet.
What about a monthly pension report via email to the membership?
I say vote for the lesser of 2 evils.
I choose Chuy, at least it's not a weasel..
How's Billy looking now?
(At least he had a set between his legs)
SCC - not sure where you are getting your info. Weis and I were in Lombard in the morning, came back to city around 10, and we walked up Michigan to Mag Mile around Noon. Had to fight through the masses at Monroe and Michigan. He was nowhere near Chuy. Might want to check your sources.
Like your health insurance increases since the dancer took office , he bullied people to pass the unaffordable care act . Like paying high water bills , telephone 911 tax , real estate taxes going up next year , no matter who the mayor is on April 7 . Do you like that 1500 police officers were removed from cpd budget , it wasn't chewy that did it
Schools closed , young children gunned down , something has to change .

Jody replaced 21 of 25 district commanders, representing a couple hundred years of experience and leadership. Theyy say absence makes the heart grow fonder....not in this case. Jody did some positive stuff but he was NOT a cop. Ever.

All balls and NO brains. In an attempt to fuck Shields (not a fan) he fucked all of us over the letter. Then when running for president he again had the balls to say we should vote for him because of his experience!
Remember in a newspaper interview he said Obama care was the right way for the retiree's to go? He keeps picking fights at meetings when he's been drinking?
I hope that when Shields wins in court the city and state lodges go after him and his group of backstabbing goofs for the cost of the litigation. At least they should let the U.S. Attorney see what the have. More to follow on this boys and girls.
In 41, Oconnor now seems to be linking her self to Rahm. I'm sure she has no choice, since Rahm sent 40 workers to attempt a futile effort to rescue her. Rahm sent a flunky to her opponent, offering unlimited money and workers if he endorsed Rahm. Napolitano told them to take a hike, it won't happen. Rahm is very upset about this and trying to pull off his usual bully bullshit to defeat Naps. Remember Oconnor was voted with Rahm, 98% of the time, she is a part time Alderman and has little or no use for the Police. She is a lefty liberal, who even had a sign in the front window of her office, apply for LINK inside. It was taken down after outrage from 41st ward residents. Naps will vote 100% for protecting pensions and insurance. Rahm knows that and will attempt to do anything to stop Naps. Your vote and your family and friends vote will elect the strongest voice for public safety and city workers. Oconnor will continue to vote with Rahm and when push comes to shove, fuck the Police. Please vote early for Anthony Napolitano..
Membership voted. Leadership is concerned. I'm confused. Are we with Rahm or Garcia? Do we vote for Rahm or Chuy?
Deano......they are coming for you........you better hope you get that chancellor job so you can tell us about all that transparency your goona have over there and how you will knock down that salary for six months. They are coming for you...

I have been paying attention for sixty two years. I connected the dots when no one was asking what they wanted at navy pier because the city wanted the kids museum out? If rahm or daly wanted a casino they could have gotten the license and docked a fleet of boats at navy pier. It seems that rahm is getting desperate and is pushing for anything to try to get votes.

You have to be kidding. Of course there was no exodus of bosses under Weiss. Next to Cozzi the first thing he did was force them to retire. He dumped all of the deputy chiefs and most commanders. Listen to people. BS he has that little group,KB and a few more than knew nothing about the CPD and listened to them. It was a joke. Apologize for not remembering the name, but might be the policy group. Some people have short memories.
I saw Mary O'Connor marching in the parade yesterday and told her not to trip in any of the potholes. She said she was doing her best. If she can't fix Raven, around the corner from her office, what good is she?
Daugherty and the rest of his crew of rats, will be working at Walmart after Shields gets through with them.

What kind of a goof says, "I know what I'm getting" with Rahm so I'll vote for him again. You like what you're getting, fool? You like that he's vowed to take your pension away? You like what he's done to the department? You like that you can't take your family to the beach or downtown for fear of wildings?
A thinking person would vote for anyone other than this jackass. You can then vote the next jackass out in four years. Morons like you are what kept Daly in office for so long.

You're almost right. Dumping the bosses was the first thing Jody did.
He burned Cozzi BEFORE he was sworn in as superintendent. Someone gave him Cozzi's iad jacket BEFORE Jody officially had the job. That HAS to be illegal.
Heard Mary Occonor got no reaction or negative reaction from the northwest St Paddys day crowd Sunday. On the other hand Napolitano was cheered as he passed by. Go Naps!!!
