FOP Sits This One Out

  • The Fraternal Order of Police on Friday said they decide not to endorse either political candidate in the race for mayor of Chicago.

Both Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Jesus “Chuy” Garcia met with leaders of the FOP in person Thursday afternoon.

Four years ago, the FOP endorsed Gery Chico for mayor.

The move comes on the same day both candidates revealed their plans to fix some of the city’s financial woes.
Dean can't afford to surrender any of his dwindling support at the Lodge.

How in the f&#k does the FlOP sit this one out? I'm sure there was an overwhelming thumbs up for Chuy over Rahm. Why don't they at least post the results of their bullshit poll. This is why we get stuck with kind of representation we have. Grow a pair FlOP and fight for us the Officers.

Good. Now would he please take his library with him, rather than take city parks to build the monument to himself?

If U of C/UIC are so hot to have the library here, why don't they give up some of their property?

The FOP should get out of the endorsement process all together, unless it involves a person who is involved in public safety! All the FOP does by endorsing is create enemies, if they win and are not endorsed. Staying silent is the way to go.

Here's where your pension went. It only took a small publication to out it...
“Thirty percent of Chicago is a TIF district,” Tresser explained. “No other city has this much of a TIF district. They [TIFs] took $422 million in property taxes in 2013. That’s about half a billion dollars that’s gone missing from the general revenue fund” in total."

"‘City broke? Be skeptical.’

“So when the City says it’s broke, be skeptical,” said Tresser. “If we were to end the TIF program tomorrow and pushed the money back to where it came from, the good people of this ward would have $134 million in the bank"

Poor Dr Dean.

College does not give a person common sense.

If he was anti Rahm and actually acted like the head of a union he would have 2 terms making over 120k plus disability pay.

But promoting his son was not enough for DR dean. Rahm could not offer any big ticket pay out.

So every police officer is supposed to actually think dean has put thought into this.

NO video of the interviews?
No posting of the answers given by Chuy or Rahm?

No numbers of votes given by paper ballots?

Must be too much work...

The Board has done a half ass job.

You can't show enough support for "he who makith da merit promotion for sergeants " because the poll of the lodge went over 68% to the Chew man and you promised Rhamina the balarina to throw him support or none at all. We wish you could see yourself from our seats....you wouldn't be impressed. Some leader you didn't turn out to be. Just when we needed your campaign tales most you have adain and again and again shown us your are not concerned for our best interest........too bad you have blown a great opportunity to have made a great difference in all of our lives for the better.

Endorsement was useless except for fact that promotional test date is now in court. Good job fop for staying out of it. I don't need you to tell me how to vote as I'm going to vote my way anyway.

If neither candidate will not go on the record and guarantee they fully fund the pension they neither of them deserve our endorsement.

Chuy will not back a casino, property tax increase, nor will he promise to give the pension plans all of the excess money sitting in the TIFF funds.

Rahm lied in the last campaign when he said he would hire 1000 extra policemen. We are at a 40 year lower in manpower that I know of.

As far as I am concerned FOP should sit this one out. As of this morning it shows Ram with a double digit lead and growing. Endorse Chuy to make a statement and piss off the guy who is going to win?

Let's be smart for once.

NO ENDORSEMENT.

Doesn't Rahm send messages from a position of strength?

A full on admission via the media propaganda apparatus that Rahm deigned to openly meet with FOP during this run-off election season?

But wait!
A "poll" shows Rahm with a commanding lead!
Why would he have to even bother putting on this
production of meeting with the FOP executives whom he already has firmly in pocket and with marching orders already given?

...Unless this IS a tacit admission that Rahm IS in deep, dark, piquant shit of his own making?

You can bet a fat man on Friday that Rahm is up at night and actually wondering if all out war (guerrilla tactics and agit-prop) against the men and women of CPD was a sound policy decision?

We get that he tried his best to turn the upright citizenry against CPD to make the citizenry ok with a Police lay-off/reduction in force via attrition/very slow hiring and eliminating paid for P.O. positions from the budget and using that money for other things that tickle his fancy more than a fully staffed, fully equipped, robust, bad-guy hunting/bad-guy destroying police department.

You know it's gotta bug the muthalovin' shit out of Rahm and his henchmen to actively seek the endorsement of the very people/organization he wants to destroy.

Note that his henchmen who have been crawling all over the blog and leaving their telltale pointy black rodent droppings everywhere, seem to have abandoned insulting rhetoric and have switched appeals in regard to "The Other Guy" being seen as an alternative to four more punishing, pocket picking years of The North Shore Shit-Ass.

The Sun Times clearly shows their Rahm bias with the headline of Chuy's fuzzy math.
Rahm is loaded with fuzzy math. All of Rahm's pension solutions revolve around "reform" aka slashing and gashing of our pensions. None of his solutions ever mention that Rahm refuses to pay the city's pension obligation simply because he doesn't like our long standing pension system and would rather have "reform".
Rahm's campaign states that they need relief from Springfield re: the 550 Million dollar payment due to shore up police and fire pensions.
That 550 Million dollar payment was ordered by Springfield over 5 years ago to hold the city's feet to the fire regarding them failing to make their pension obligations.
So Rahm and his yes men knew about the mandated $550 Million dollar contribution due this year since he first took office..... yet now Rahm's whining that without "relief" from Springfield this payment will wreak havoc on the city's finances.
So let me get this straight Rahm.... you knew all about this upcoming balloon payment, you continued to refuse to make the city's current pension obligations and now you're saying you need "relief" from Springfield to ease the burden on the tax payers??
You want to talk about fuzzy math ? That's some scandalous lack of financial planning right there Rahm!

Anybody but Rahm. That slimy prick won't rest until our pensions are completely destroyed.

"Rahm is tough as nails"

Rahm Emanuel is a manlet who fixed cars in the IDF and then moved from six-figure sinecure to six-figure sinecure because of his familial connections. Today he pirouettes around City Hall browbeating callow millennials into undertaking legislative initiatives that accomplish nothing beyond garnering publicity for his regime and losing money. He is an archetypal representative of the cosmopolitan parasitic class that is currently destroying the nation.

The FOP board members met with RAHM on the first Tuesday of March. RAHM's camp was given the heads up by 1st VP aka SUAREZ'S flunky by orders' of DEAN.

The reason for this was to insure RAHM an endorsement or staying neutral in the race.

GARCIA did not attend that meeting cause he doesn't have a snitch on the board to give him the heads up.

GARCIA's camp was told that GARCIA would have to meet with the FOP'S Political Action Committee on the following Thursday. Because that was FOP'S protocol. But as you know now, RAHM didn't have to.

GARCIA was told that he couldn't meet with the Board because it was too late when he inquired for a meeting, which only meets on the first Tuesday of the month. Guess what's on the 1st Tuesday of April, you got it the election.

What FOP member's don't know is that it doesn't matter who you or the PAC want to endorse because the ultimate decision belongs to the board.

It's that inner circle that has completed control and sole control of it's union members.

Boys and girls this is a wake up call please read your FOP bible.

For those of you interested DEAN wants the Community College gig.

You just have to connect the dots my friends. Nothing hard here to figure out.

I have a bone to pick with FOP.

The FOP has decided to support a candidate for Mayor of Chicago.

Then why in todays mail do I find my FOP news letter. Inside on page 3 you find a survey asking the members to pick a candidate and return it to FOP.

Why did it take till 14 March 2015 for FOP to send out news letter?
Why did FOP wait for the news letter to poll the rank and file for thier opinion?
Why did FOP decide not to choose a candidate after wasting the time and money on the news letter poll?

seems like they wanted to ask us who FOP should support but decided to choose without our input.

Sad it seems to be just like the past management at FOP

3/14/2015 10:51:00 PM

Coincidentally, I spent an hour on the computer tonight trying to find the basis for this story. Sorry to say, it's still a mystery to me. The stories started circulating in 2009.

Supposedly, Rahm and Amy tried to get a tax break for their home address for their charitable organization. Some say they got it, some say they didn't.

Because of a mix-up in reading property index numbers, which really seem to disorient non-Chicago reporters, various news reporters state the Emanuels DID 'disappear' from the tax rolls, or they did pay their $13,000 taxes (but only on one lot that was consolidated from three lots), or there's nothing to the story.

I'll keep digging, but tonight I admit I got sidetracked by a very interesting story on Chuy in the Reader, which made me feel good I voted for him.

Rahm has stated he intends to eliminate the cola and diminish the pensions. He is moving heaven and earth to NOT pay the 550 million required by law into our fund.

Chuy has said he isn't going to diminish pensions and will actually hire 1000 police, not say he will and not do it (yes, he said that!).

As always, when you add something to the household budget, you reduce something else. Chuy will probably reduce something ridiculously expensive and foolish, so we can have cops and pensions and a little less clout and a little more sanity in this city.

That's Rahm's problem.
He's never had his ass deeply
kicked as a child and especially
as an adult.

Notice the lack of real and hard men
in his proximity...

Nobody who had to fight, scratch and scuffle in real time. Nobody who knows about roof-tops and alleys.
Nobody who had to get up and work on the farm before school or be in a hot place and bang on iron after school...

LOL @ Rahm playing up a "having it so tough growing up in Chicago" narrative.

Artifice?
Contrivance?
Revisionism?
Folklore?
Flat out donkey dung?

Hands soft as a baby's ass and no fighting scars.
Well... Mistuh Meat Slicer excluded.

(We still say the guy Rahm played tough with in the Congressional showers missed doing
this nation a solid by refraining from tearing that stolen human skin off Rahm al-Ghoul's narrow ass.)

Nothing but old women, young, whip smart, green
as monkey shit prog-tard hope & change fanatics (male & female) who make up Rahm al-Ghoul's
human shield and the usual unrepentant rebels without pause (Jesse, Sharpton, Ayers, Dohrn etc) and a host of dazed/confused squat to pee-ers who are riding the running boards of the Sparkle-Farts & Tutu of Fire touring sedan of Fuckery because it's something they believe in and can use as a weapon against everybody that isn't them?

How is it that these relatively few matriarchal fornicators have managed to inflict misery on this nation far in excess of their comparative biomass?

"You Cops are just mean and hateful for no good reason!"

Amazing! 90% of Of the entire police department is voting for Chuy. Rahm is a very scary guy.

Bullshit. No way will 90% of the police department even vote. At most, 38% will vote, half of them for Rahm, half for Chuy.

Cops don't vote in local or national elections and don't vote in FOP elections. Cops scream about throwing rotten politicians out but neglect the voting part.

FOP did not endorse anyone because it means nothing really. The police just do not vote in any great numbers. Maybe in the 11th or 19th ward, nowhere else

Well said

They also vote in big numbers in the 41st ward, once the home to the only Republican Alderman Doherty. Now the home of the very liberal, do nothing Alderman Mary Oconnor. Great chance to dump her now, vote early, vote absentee, just vote, for Anthony Napolitano!!

Hey guess what guys... the party's over ! Now the FOP and every other public sector union is going to have to get in line for the left-over scraps on the table. Did you know that there are more retired cops and fireman receiving pensions today than current active duty personnel.
Do the math...there isn't enough pie left in the refrigerator. Retire now or face the consequences !

To the person who calls himself Anonymous. It is really disturbing that our FOP President told you something in confidence regarding his son and you decide to betray him. Damn really is all I have to say!
