Is This a Surprise?
- The man who robbed Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's son is now charged with drug possession in another incident.
Chicago police arrested Phillip Payne, 18, after officials said they found 15 grams of crack cocaine on him on April 5 in the Uptown neighborhood. He is charged with felony drug possession and criminal trespassing.
Payne, who is out on $10,000 bail, goes back to court on Wednesday.
Payne pleaded guilty to robbing Zach Emanuel in December. He was 17 at the time.
Officials said he's been arrested twice since turning 18.
Maybe he gives up the other guy now?

He may want to tell the public what really transpired with Rahm's son.
I'm sure Rahm, being the transparency proponent that he is, would have no problem with that.
Speaking of rahm, did anyone see the Ch 7 story showing the mayor's detail going through more red lights and also driving on the wrong side of the road? At a press conference today, when asked, the little prick just walked away and wouldn't answer. They said the day his "motorcade" drove left of center, passing 8 cars that looked like they were waiting for a light, the flaming tutu was headed to that area to stump for votes. What a jagbag.
Kid has no interest in changing or learning from his arrests. On his Facebook page Monday, he says "I'm tired of hearing ppl telling me I needa change... I can't change this the life i chose to.live and i chose it for a reason dont get me wrong I will better myself but as far as just leaving bro nem nawwww I'm good"
Also bragged about being written up on Crime in Boystown blog and said he would be posting all his mug shots from now on. And that he's planning on having a summer that will make everyone hate him.
I'll be surprised if he lives to see 19.
This lad needs to get busy and turn his life around before he gets a bad reputation. Maybe he can get a job as a white house page.
I lay the blame for this young mans continuing criminal tendencies squarely at the feet of Rahm Emanuel.
Had the Emanuels been vigilant and unwavering in their prosecution of this young man of color for the dastardly deed he perpetrated upon young Zach, perhaps his risk of recidivism would have been minimized and/or eventually eliminated.
One might conclude that the Kid Gloves Treatment has again backfired, resulting in a collective disservice to the demographic responsible for ensuring the Tiny Dancer's reelection.
Conclusion: Rahm Emanuel doesn't care about black people.
Sarcasm /(OFF)
He's just lucky he didn't sell it to Chelsea Clinton back in the day .
The fuckin guy would be a corpse .
Say what you want about the Clinton s , they know how to handle business .
The election is now safely in the past. The truth can now be known.
Don't they do any background checks on the college counselors that aree assigned to Rahm's kid. Rahm's boy sneaks out of the house to talk to his college counselor, and the college sends a criminal like that?
May Phillip Payne have a blessed day and continue to have blessed days. At this rate, by time he is 30 years of age he will have about 150 arrests, a conviction or two and will be on his 9th attempt at turning his life around. In fact, he will have been turning his life around so much that to the casual observer it will look as if he is simply dancing in circles. Like a whirling dervish.
Best of luck at rocket scientist school.
Jeez I hope we aren't profiling this poor kid.
Maybe Zach is his supplier?
Lol typical, another criminal not prosecuted because the truth about rahms son would of come out! If we had an investigative reporter not owned by city hall they could easily talk to "thugalicious" pay him some grams of non-prosecteable" reefer and get him some flaming hot and grape pop for the munchies and watch him talk, that would be "change we could believe in!"
The juvenile court judge was a great judge of character.
The hell you say
Guess the mayor's son hangs out with clowns.
Can't even "call your college counselor" from the street at 10 PM without running into people like this...
Let's see, crack cocaine, a skinny 17 y/o boy named Zack, running into a shady character during the late hours of the evening....... leaves me wondering.
But I thought Anita won't prosecute black people....i mean, first time minor non drug offenders.
Your Honor,
Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez for the prosecution.
Your Honor, the Chicago police arrested Phillip Payne, 18, after they say they found 15 grams of crack cocaine on him on April 5 in the Uptown neighborhood.
Your Honor, I move to dismiss this case because clearly this is a case of wrongful arrest, and aggravated battery for "recreational" use of crack cocaine.
Oh never mind. I was just informed Mr. Payne needs to go away for a long time because he jumped the mayor's child who is important.
Cook County States Attorney's Office Anita Alvarez should disqualify herself from prosecuting this case due to a deal that was made to close the Mayor's son Zachary's case in juvenile court!
I wonder if Anita will let him off with recorational drug use offense?
That young drug dealer knows the truth about the cell phone robbery .
nolle pros ...next case
Makes you wonder if Rahm's robbery was actually a robbery or a drug deal gone bad.
So this young man accused of roughing up Zach is in fact a drug dealer. Hmmmm.

It might make YOU wonder, but I never had a doubt. It's good the light is finally dawning for you.
Wait.. He was a drug dealer? Hmm, maybe the stories of rahms kid buying weed from him were true...
No, the stories are NOT true. He was TRYING to buy weed but was robbed. Completely different!
Investigative reporters Chucak goudie welcome now whats the story? Or are you frightened also?
I like Mr. Rahm
