- A 34-year-old man was shot to death early Friday one block from his home while walking to work in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood, according to police and the man's family.
- Three people were found dead in a home in the Northwest Side neighborhood of Mayfair Friday evening.
- Five men were injured - one critically - in a shooting in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood around 5 p.m. Friday.

McCarthy has no control of the animals on the street trying to kill each other off. This is going on all over the country. Becoming like the Wild West. Nineteen New York City police officers assigned to a station house in the Bronx face disciplinary action after being charged on Friday by department lawyers with wrongdoing, including incorrectly classifying crimes and downgrading criminal complaints, the police said.
As a result, the complaints appeared less serious than when victims first made them, and the precinct appeared more successful at fighting crime than it actually was.
In a statement accompanying the announcement of the charges, Police Commissioner William J. Bratton described them as “strict but fair.”
“The purposeful misrepresentation of crime data is rare but nevertheless unacceptable, and it will be dealt with accordingly,” Mr. Bratton said.
Those charged include a lieutenant, eight sergeants, nine police officers and a detective, the police said.

They even come from Denver to commit murder in Sanctuary City Denver man has been charged in the strangulations of two women whose bodies were found during a suspicious fire on Chicago's Northwest Side in October, police said.
Adam Ruiz, 22, of the 1500 block of Harrison Street in Denver, was extradited from Colorado and charged with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated arson, police said.
Ruiz was arrested and charged after he admitted to committing the strangulations and setting a fire to cover up the crime, police said. He is slated to appear in Cook County court.
The victims were identified as Samantha Welch, 18, whose address was unknown, and Celiacruz Reyes, 18, of the 100 block of Birch Street in Carpentersville, according to police and the the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Oct. 16 in the garden apartment of a two-flat in the 4500 block of West Parker Avenue in the city’s Belmont Gardens neighborhood, according to Chicago police and fire officials at the time.

If someone called in on 11 Sept and said 'a plane is going to fly into Sears tower at 9am', they'd have hung up on you after telling you, 'yeah, right'. We are about as unprofessional a department as we could be. Sorry you were on the receiving end of that behavior, but not surprised by it.

I live in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. I have noticed that this year there are more riff raffs hanging out in the neighborhood. It decreases the quality of life issues in our neighborhood. What can the police do about this matter? I called the neighborhood relations office and they told me that special details are placed during Cubs games, rock concerts, Friday and Saturday nights along Clark Street, during street festivals and such. How can the citizens of the 19th district obtain more accountability from the police department to enforce city of Chicago ordinances so the riff raffs stay out? Thank you for your considerations and please stay safe officers.

Years ago robbery detectives were sent into district stations on all U.U.W. arrests in the belief that anyone arrested with a gun was a probable stick up man or might have information on who was committing robberies. This, of course, was a complete waste of time as all arrestees would say that they found the gun.
A long form closing report would also have to be completed and was a pain in the ass and a waste of paper.
Chalkie is in Balticago now. He thinks that is going to be a hot city for him for the next couple of years.

Get used to it. Obama is going to make "improvements" to neighborhoods nationwide to ensure the riff raff is well represented in every neighborhood. From the NY Post:

7:14pm-basically, the best thing you can do is get a strong,reputable candidate to run against the current Aldercreature Tom Tunney. He is Rahm'a pawn. He desperately wants to keep the Gay Pride parade in the area when it has outgrown the neighborhood. This candidate would have an uphill battle since Tunney is well liked and a media darling. Tunney knew the decrease in officers was coming with the closing of the Belmont/Western station for patrol functions. He still lies about the loss of manpower and tossing him out of office is the only solution. Good luck and good riddance Tommy!

7:14pm.... The only way u will see a difference is if the police department hires more officers to put more bodies on the street and also allows us to DO OUR JOB and not be political pawns. The only way that will happen is if there is a HUGE outcry from the public to do so. So grab about 100,000 of your neighbors and make it be known to the mayor u want more police protection (not reshuffling the deck). So since that wont happen, nothing will change.

Sorry that you realized what every cop who works the street knows. The people who work in that office are there because they're afraid to work the street, they know somebody or they kissed enough ass to get there and are completely worthless and have never done 8 hours of real police work but get paid the same money street cops get paid who are much more in harms way and way more stressed out, then blow people like you off when all they had to do was tell a supervisor who could've related the message to the street cops. They blew you off because they don't care if there's a melee at north avenue beach. They aren't going to be the ones responding to the 911 calls so they couldn't care less. Next time someone working that easy ass cake job tries to blow you off when you're reporting a potentially dangerous situation demand to speak to a supervisor.
