Ammo Tax Coming

Word is that on Monday, Toni will attempt to tax ammunition, perhaps excessively so, in an attempt to drive gun dealers completely out of Cook County, denying dozens, perhaps hundreds of people actual jobs in a legitimate, legal enterprise.

Meanwhile, car dealers continue to operate with impunity, despite killing thousands more in Illinois than guns ever have.

So. Purely rhetorical question ;Are Police officers going to get an exemptions from this increase?
Is the city going to begin supplying us with duty ammuntion,as well as target ammo?
OF COURSE NOT!!

Put a tax on prescription drugs - they are killing more people than guns AND cars.

Guess when you go up to Kenosha to the Outlet Mall for clothes and stuff, you'll have to drive to up to HWY 50 to Gander Mountain to get Ammo at 5% sales tax.

That will make the trip even more worthwhile in saving on Cook County Taxes.

Time to tell Cook County to CUT SPENDING. Cut the Budget!!

Perhaps they as in "toni the liar" are trying to levy a new tax because they are about to lose the lawsuit over the $25.00 per firearm sold in Crook County tax........Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

And they will be sued for this one I am sure , Yes it is illegal to use economics to interfere with my rights and yes that includes the Second Amendment.

Funny this comes from the same crowd that decrees photo ID's as causing economic hardship to poor voters and thereby restricting their right to vote.

She wants to excessively tax the legal exercise of a Constitutional right, while supporting reduced punishment for those convicted of crimes (beyond those involving drug convictions)?

What a strange and immoral "leader".

Just as the gun tax did, it will drive purchases out of the county. Great business decision. We have the dumbest politicians and even dumber voters who put them in office. Escape occupied Chicago, Crook County and ILLnois if you can.

I'm surprised they aren't looking at throwing some new taxes on all the boat harbors in Chicago. Now THERE is a tax that won't effect many Chicagoans. Tax the RICH, suburban guys!

How about higher fees at the Golf Courses? Or, just charge a buck a club for any new purchases of golf clubs at any retail store?

How about a $1 textbook tax at all the Universities' bookstores? Now THERE is a pretty creative tax. Tax the students trying to learn more.

Keep taxing people and no one will set foot across the County line.

I don't care what Toni Fartwinkle taxes anymore. I learned to shop outside of Crook county. I live in the city but work near the Indiana border, so I learned to shop there as well.

Gas, food, clothes, medication, home supplies, tires from Costco and of course Upon retirement in a few years I will be relocating out of state like most of my other city colleagues.

Fartwinkle and 9.5 are taxing everyone into moving out of the area.

She won't be the first big city/county to try it, San Francisco and a couple of other lefty run cities did, after they stopped the SLAPP suits against gun makers. Those "wily Dems" figured they'd skirt the new law and bankrupt ammo manufacturers. They wound up in court and lost. See Minneapolis Star Tribune vs. County Assessor that went to SCOTUS for the reasoning. A big tax on printer's ink was judged a clear abridgement of the 1st amendment.

I bet there won't be much publicity when the broke County has to write a 6 or 7 figure $$$ check to the NRA, Second Amendment Foundation and ISRA for legal fees. For that kind of money I hope they at least send her a XXXL T-shirt and a thank you note.

Car dealers??? How about the licensing of establishments who's sole purpose is to provide alcoholic beverages to customers. They do not exist for anything but to get people intoxicated and then drive away. You want to drink? Drink at home. The city needs to be held accountable for anyone killed or injured after leaving a city licensed establishment who's sole purpose is to get people drunk.

Prickwinker read this post and as of Monday, anyone with a Ford Taurus, Dodge's Magnum, Colt or Caliber will now have a new Crook County tax applied.

Then again, she could certainly balance the County budget if she only followed up on the South and West sides with purchases of Colt .45 Malt Liquor.

Which is why I continue to drive every other week or so to Cabela's in Hammond, IN to buy very reasonably priced and low taxed ammunition, while on my way to visit family in Indiana. Oh ya, I also buy groceries, other household supplies, and more ammunition at the new Wal-Mart across from Cabela's. Oh, and about once a month I swing over to the Costco in Merrillville, IN to get more food, bottled water, and other household items at lower prices and tax rates. And of course I fill up my gas tank and few 5 gallon gas containers at about 20 or 30 cents less per gallon that Crook County gas stations on every occasion that I am in Indiana. All of these purchases are made at lower tax rates while helping red state Indiana's economy! The liberal leaders in Illinois will never learn, Hahahaha!

So the only solution is to get the honest joe to pay, of course rather than cut the pork, dump some of the excessive executive staff and not steal from the govmint DHS grants.
Crook County needs a GoFundMe account. Oh wait, they already have one, in called Property Tax on Homes over $250,000.

Tax "assault beverages." Heavily.

Fortified wines <$ limit, huge single-sellie cans of "high-gravity" "malt liquors," 40-and-over ounce bottles of yellow, alcohol-augmented pre-pee, and so forth. All these sit-on-a-milk-crate-and-howl concoctions.

Makin' 'em wild, Joe. Sure is.

Of course, they're slugging down and puking up Hennesey all over someone else's back seat while they fumble with an AK and a blunt (which they will drop in their crotch), but it's a "good first step."

Overall? No. No way in hell. I call complete bulls__t. My blood pressure meds, my stomach acid-blocker, my anticoagulant bothering you, sport?

Very specifically? Class II mild opioid pain medication that they INSIST be mixed with acetaminophen, rat poison. Probably vastly more people die from the hepatotoxicity (wrecks your liver) of the APAP. Never get anywhere NEAR a dangerous dose of the active principle, hydrocodone or whatever. Hardly enough to do you any good, even.

Just took another light Norco for this 25-year-old shoulder injury.

Kind of thing that will never bother you as long as you don't move.

Simple, right? Not addicted, not gone mad, not gone to heroin, wandering streets, etc., don't need every day, just try to remember hold arm close to body as I type here and just don't reach for anything as you would in normal life. Light dose = still hurts just as bad, but you tolerate it slightly better. I know, you don't.

Turn reflexively in sleep to pull blanket over you a little more and GAAAA! Now you are all the way awake...they are right, make the old folks go back to the doctor every single month in bad weather for a few pills. That will clean up the lethal hepatitis-hedgehog of used needles sticking out all over in our city parks.

I guess that one-per-hour OD extravaganza ended when the batch ran out, huh? Probably Fentanyl mixed with heroin again. Only seemed to last a few days...

While ignorant twentysomething "aides" lecture and count beans at the pharmacy, and doctors make life miserable for regular patients, El Chapo is digging railroad tunnels under our border to bring in hard smack...look it up.

Can't stop Chapo, slingers, junkies, crazies, so aim gun real low at regular pharmacy customers you can easily find...so what else is new.

Fool.

Never mind -- 20,000 or more federal, state, and local gun laws on the books already, and every new one is still a "good first step." Been watching this go for how many decades now...
