Invisible Institute Website

The CR thing is up and running, and it's accompanied by an amusing disclaimer:
  • The information contained on this website comes primarily from three datasets provided by the Chicago Police Department (CPD), spanning approximately 2002 to 2008 and 2011 to 2015. The CPD has released these lists in response to litigation and to FOIA Requests.

The City of Chicago’s release of this information was accompanied by a disclaimer that not all of the information contained in the City’s database may be completely accurate. No independent verification of the City’s records has taken place and this public database does not purport to be an accurate reflection of either the City’s internal database or of its truthfulness.

Slight changes to the spelling of officer names and to the wording of abuse categories have been made to accommodate a consistent appearance. A glossary of our understanding of common CPD terms has been provided. No other editing of the City’s original datasets has taken place.

This public database also contains other readily available data that has been linked to the City’s original datasets, including: CPD beat geographies, Chicago ward boundaries, Chicago neighborhood boundaries, et cetera.

By entering this website, you acknowledge that the Citizens’ Police Database (CPDB) is not responsible for any derivative work performed by or published by users of this public database.
And if you don't click the I Understand" button, you don't get to view the site, even with all it's "errors," and "slight changes."

Translation -- the City Of Chicago can't be trusted to be accurate or truthful. Just feels entitled to more and more of your money.

Got it.

Set this forth in private employment -- apply for that bank teller job, adding these disclaimers -- and see what happens.

Guess if you have a common name they just lump them all on one person. I know of two other Officers with the same name as me. Wonder why they have no accountability, or no one from the City could at least verify the information before it was posted. I look as bad as Finnegan and Herrera with all these beefs dumped on my star number.

Web site is happy as a pig in shit that they get to publish police complaints. Let's not forget that 95 percent or better are pure vindictive complaints that are mostly fabricated allegations without merit. If you are the working police then you are going to generate complaints, especially if you work in a fast district or a head hunting unit. After all, the city took anonymous bullshit complaints for years. When the complainants had to sign an affidavit attesting to the truth about their complaint the number of complaints dropped off dramatically.

Stay fetal my friends.

University of Missouri Student Body President Payton Head recently manufactured a crisis by announcing via social media that the KKK was confirmed on his campus and he was cooperating with the authorities. These alarming statements stoked the flames of an imagined racism were soon retracted and an apology was posted by Head on Facebook. Head is interested in Social Justice having participated in lectures at several universities of liberal indoctrination. Head has his roots in Chicago.

Who might this Student body president Head be aligned with you ask? He is rumored to have been an intern for none other than Mayor Emanuel. Don’t forget he visited to the White House with a sort of beer summit discussing same sex relationships, gender inequalities and the whole spectrum of sexual deviancy with the Chief Community Agitator O’Bama. Kind of validates your mandatory “Social Justice” training if the president convenes a conversation on related topics.

It seems that Payton Head acted “stupidly” by posting false reports of the KKK on campus worthy of a Rule 14 violation. But such fabricated acts made bigger than life by the lapdog media give one standing and an elevated status in that extreme democrat party. Never let a made up crisis go to waste advancing your cause.

Just another way the 60's radicals can demonize the police. Dirty up the police. Release the criminals from jail. Even my liberal friends are sick of the police bashing and the coddling of the criminal element. Follow the money. Civil suits will get a boost in taxpayer funded judgments awarded to criminals for perpetrating criminal acts on society when the police get involved. It also taints the image of police in future juries making sure lawyers win bigger settlements making their cut or the softer sounding legal service fees more lucrative. Have the police back off from doing their obligatory duties and we will soon embrace both anarchy and chaos.

Who is going to make noise when m/fers decide it's a good idea to heard

Im sorry, I don't quite understand this. The city wants to go back almost 50 years for CR #s? And the reason is ? To check on a 70 year or older retired cop who needs a job to pay medical bills for himself or his wife? Because the city does not want to pay for medical coverage. "Sorry sir you got a brutality beef in 1967 and even though it was unfounded or unsustained we can't hire you. Things being as they are these days we could be held liabial for your conduct. #BLM is looking at all this." Far fetched? Don't bet on it.

I have a couple of concerns regarding alcohol and substance abuse CR's.
Couldn't it be argued that if an officer is given a CR for alcohol or substance abuse, then seeks treatment, would the reporting of those acts be a violation of HIPA laws? Alcoholism and drug addiction are considered medical conditions with known medical treatments. Wouldn't those officers who have had treatments for those conditions and had a CR obtained on them, had their rights under the HIPA Act violated by not only the City, but Mr. Futterman and the University of Chicago?

Maybe someone a bit more knowledgeable in HIPA law could enlighten us.

Yes, I agree with you that a complaint never should have been taken, that is in a perfect world. But, CPD is not a perfect world. A supervisor who does not take the complaint, no matter how petty it might seem, and get a CR within a hour will themselves be the subject of a complaint and it will result in time off. It is a shit system, but that is how things are. The only people that you cannot file a complaint on, is a gold star.

"Obama free cell phone, free house phones..."

Reality check -- the $5.00 value small cell phone (NOT a smartphone) with very limited minutes per month goes to eligible elderly and indigent for emergencies, so they will not be completely cut off from calling the doctor, etc.

This is called "Lifeline" service. You can get a very basic cell, or you can get a wireline phone to your home, local outgoing calls only, BUT NOT BOTH. They DO enforce this.

No eight-year-old on south or west side would be caught dead with such a phone. They all have latest Apple, Android, etc.

Just trying to keep it real. There is a big mass hallucination about cornucopias of free s__t -- actually, help can be an awful lot harder to get than people prefer to think. Massive "blended families" where no two people in the place have the same last name, massive illegal-alien families and groupings do a lot better, just by strength of numbers, than does one elderly person alone. Ten people jammed in a place, crashing on mattresses, pay $75.00/month rent each. One person pays $750. One person pays $100/month for phone/Internet and takes the bus, a whole houseful with four-five new cars in the new driveway gets free broadband because one of their many kids "is eligible for the school lunch program."

Like that.

A lot of these things p__s me off too, but you have to look at who's really pulling it in, and not tar everyone with the same brush.

Stay safe.

"The Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC) is disseminating this awareness bulletin to help law enforcement officers and military personnel to minimize their social media footprint and protect their identity and family. Recent calls for attacks against law enforcement officers by foreign terrorist organizations and recent reports released by the U.S. Senate Select Intelligence Committee’s report on the CIA’s Detention Interrogation Program may exacerbate tensions or even spark violence against officers, intelligence personnel, government officials, and their families. This awareness bulletin seeks to make general recommendations to limit an individual’s digital footprint and diminish a violent actor’s targeting capability."

I tell people all the time now, go get a CCL and get a nice weapon that you can handle!

The days of the police officer being there and being a hero, when you call 911 is coming to an end! Open your eyes Joe Citizen!

What will happen when a bank or mortgage company denies a cop a mortgage or loan or any other benefit because this website says they have too many C.R. Numbers?
-------------------
Exactly
The logic will be that a person with too many CR's has an employment risk. The banks don't want to lend to someone that may default. Unless of coarse the loan is to a multi-racial, illegal alien, transgender, medical marijuana using, ex-felon, asthma diagnosed, Democrat. (As if there is any other type of Democrat.) :)

Keep getting those numbers for the politically connected bosses.
