March with banners and signs anyway and see if they are willing to violate 1st amendment right. 3. Hold the parade in another town. I've said it before and I'll say it again, people who hate the police should not call us, plain and simple. There should be a database where people are able to put their home addresses and their full names in order to opt-out of Police Service so we know which houses and people to never serve because they do not want us to. This will serve a dual purpose to both protect officers and increase their safety while at the same time safeguarding the people who pay taxes and really deserve it and appreciate our help.

May I suggest the following?
1) Follow the advise of Flager. Enforce the law. Parking tickets, towing if possible etc., etc. for the participants.
2) Follow the tactics of BLM. Have friends and family block the streets to exercise ones 1st Amendments Rights.
3) Contact EVERY sponsor and make it VERY public that they DO NOT SUPPORT the Police. Nothing like good public pressure to help a cause. Find out who is on their Corporate Board and contact them at their regular business. You probably wont get through to the board member but you can leave a message with the secretary saying "why doesn't John Doe support the Chicago Police and actively tries to ban them from the St. Patrick's Day Parade?"
By using their tactics and actions, what can they say? You'll either accomplish your goal or expose them for the hypocrites they are.

This subject sure created a lot of controversey. Maybe the parade committee had a valid reason for rejecting them. Did anyone call them to find out. Since I am retired from the job I dont have access to data anymore. What I did find fro the Chicago Code Blue facebook page it links to booster.com which is located in an office park in Newton Ma. It says you can sell apparel and accept donations without risk or cost. Chicago Code Blue has shirts for sale there with the logo and a shamrock, just in time for St Patricks Day. There are "names" listed of people who have bought shirts or donated. Chicago Code Blue said it is a coalition of self funded members and want to show support for law enforcement while raising money. My questions are: who is Gary Snow? Where is Code Blue located? Who are the members? Since they raise money for law enforcement where does the money go? And so on. Can someone vet Gary Snow & Chicago Code Blue?

Do not take it as an off duty job, call in sick if scheduled and those of you on, do not rush an assignment. Let them call in the plumbers. This is exactly the kind of deal you should NOT attend in any manner either as an extra assignment or respond aggressively to in the event of a disturbance. And be especially careful because you are more than likely to be pelted with debris by all parade goers and spectators than not. We are in a period of anarchy that we have to go through before we exit the period. There is nothing you can do about it. It is endemic and the by- product of poor civilian leadership and management over decades.

I have filed several FOIA requests for his complimentary report, complimentary letters, and all data on his honorable mentions. Channel 2 had said they will do a story only when all info has been released. I am currently in correspondence with P.O Rodriguez with FOIA, and I should have the letters Monday.

One nurse I work with married to a copper is going to bring a bag of blue ribbons and will be handing them out. If we band together we can have the loudest voice.
