More Distractions
- After a violent winter and spring, Chicago will start off the summer with “thousands” of officers deployed to city parks, beaches and neighborhoods, Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said Thursday.
[...]
“They’ll be thousands. I can’t give you an exact number,” Johnson said at a news conference on the campus of University of Illinois-Chicago.
Thousands we tell you....THOUSANDS! And Leo is getting in on the act:
- State Police Director Leo Schmitz, said his agency would have additional troopers on the roads, as well as fixed-wing aircraft circling Chicago area expressways. Chicago highways have seen 20 shootings so far this year, eight more than during the first six months of 2016, said Schmitz, a former Chicago Police Department commander whose district included Englewood.
Unless Leo has A-10's with missiles and authority to strafe the expressways, we don't see aircraft making a difference, but he might get some decent pictures if the city catches fire.
The media continues with the "press release" version of news:
The media continues with the "press release" version of news:
- Citywide, the city has seen nearly 250 homicides so far this year, about 80 more killings than during the first five months of 2015. Johnson said the department has traditionally added officers for key weekends each year, and noted that homicides and shootings have declined after a steep upturn that began in December.
The city has almost never offered overtime for key weekends aside from 03/04 July aside from canceling tact team days off or deploying citywide units - units that don't exist and haven't existed for 5 years. Johnson is pretty much lying here.
This is the "decrease in the increase" the media eats up, despite the fact that HeyJackass.com points out that May already has 55 homicides, and SCC has pointed out that May 2013 had 44 murders, 2014 had 41 and 2015 had 48, a number long past. The "decline" is nonexistent. Chicago is on an upswing, and every killing since last week is obliterating Johnson's "decrease."
Additionally, IPRA is adding to the distractions by recommending the firing of Glenn Evans:

Additionally, IPRA is adding to the distractions by recommending the firing of Glenn Evans:
- In his first major test on discipline since becoming Chicago police superintendent, Eddie Johnson has so far refused to go along with a recommendation by the city's police oversight agency to fire a former police commander with a long history of excessive-force complaints.
The former commander, Glenn Evans, now a lieutenant, was acquitted in December by a Cook County judge on charges he shoved his gun down a man's throat despite evidence showing the alleged victim's DNA on Evans' gun.
At issue now is what discipline should be meted out to Evans after the Independent Police Review Authority found him at fault for pressing his fist into the nose of a woman who refused to be fingerprinted in 2011. A lawsuit brought by the woman, Rita King, alleged she suffered a broken facial bone.

Never mind that testing scandal. Williams just received the Powers award for leadership from the department. This basically means the IG case will go nowhere. What a joke. This department has officially jumped the shark.
Thanks for the invite, but I will not be going to Chicago on the weekend.
Staying clear.
2 loops around and head for base. Gas is expensive and the state is broke. Maybe they can call in CHIPs....Poncharello can help out too.
This long weekend may prove interesting. Stay very very fetal.
This place has become a complete joke. The communist propagandists are working overtime. Evans was found not guilty and they still try to play the DNA angle in a slanted way to try to gain points. Nice try, shitheads. Fuck this communist Chicago media and their bullshit.
Weird, but wbbm reported kind of extensively on Evans Thursday afternoon. They said he's a contemporary of the superintendent and he was demoted to lieutenant over this case, but now that the court case is over, he's about to be 'promoted' to work directly under Eddie Johnson very soon. They reported it as fact, not speculation.
In my district on afternoons there is 3 people coming in on their day off to work the watch and 2 people on Sunday. That's it.
Don't care, off this weekend and won't be anywhere near this shit hole! Stay safe to those working.
Glen Evans has several other CR numbers with IAD pending. How bout the one where he lead several 003rd District officers into a closed business by cutting off the lock only to find that the business was empty. The owner recieved a notification through his alarm company that his business had been burglarized and was able to view Evans and others entering his business from home.
When the owner arrived at his business to check it out, he was cited for several license violations. That same business owner was arrested at his place of business at Evans direction several weeks later. Yeah he's suing.
I hear there is great video of breaking and entering allegation. Damn Glenn!
This is what the news media does. They obtain a press release by the government, a corporation or a celebrity and then they parrot exactly what the press release says. A "news writer" then "writes" the news and an editor will edit a snippet here or there. Then PRESTO- this is called news.
Here is the real news straight from me. We don't have "thousands of officers" deployed. More like several hundred. On my shift we have six officers who are working overtime and two of them are working inside. The inside house mouses always get taken care of first. The only way the department can claim they have thousands of officers working overtime is if they cancel the regular days off and cancel days off for specialized units. Not gonna happen.
The news media, you are losing credibility every single day. The mask is coming off and the American people are beginning to think on their own. Here is one more jab at you so called journalists. A week ago the mainstream media reported there was violence at the Nevada Democratic Convention in which Bernie Sanders supporters were throwing chairs and threatening others. The only problem is that it never happened. There is not a single video of anyone throwing a chair. Just one guy who picked up a chair and he then put it down. Not one arrest. No one bloodied.
The news media, you are full of shit and you only repeat what your government and corporate masters tell you to repeat.
"Strafe" well said! That's the key
What a Fuckin Joke I Swear , Now were going to take Pictures from The Air LMAO , Big Problem Solving By Leo There ,. I wonder if he had his LEFT HAND raised too Like Eddie when he was sworn in as Director also . 2 ASSWIPES one in The City And One for the State Police.
This is about Madison Hobly and the wrongful conviction movement.
They have to take down Evans because of a domestic abuse report he took as a rookie.
Red Alert - North Avenue Beach closed this weekend for projected 'Heat Emergency' of mid-80 degrees. That is all...
troller: I was watching the news last night and both Leo and Eddie used the phrase "we will not tolerate" this or that. In the case of Leo, it was shooting on the expressways. They got me to thinking it was all bullshit. Shootings on the expressway are triple digit percent up this year over last year. I have read murders in Chicago are up by something in the range of +80 this year. It seems rather fellows we actually tolerate more rather than less.
Sorry no distractions here. Just follow the chain of exempts t h at Eddie followed. Back to Jody Weiss, Steve Peterson, Dean Andrews, Denis Walsh, Melissa Staples, Maria Pena, John Pallohusky, Sam Cerone just to name a few, all from area 4. Doesn't anyone see a pattern here. There are two more goofs from there waiting in the wings for their earned merit promotions. Why is Cerone still in the area? How is it that he not moved from this very sensitive position. Why did two other Sgt.s, DJ and JP leave the area and go back to a uniformed unit rather than work with this goof one more day . They also came from area 4. McCarthy said that two was a pattern. Well how about eight or ten. You just can't wash it down with a bar of soap.
Anyone know why the sergeant's association has been quiet on the amount of sergeants retiring in May and June?
Wow Glenn Evans was the real deal but yet all the supervisors involved in the Koschman cover up get to walk away because of their political pigmentation.
Off topic: Whatever became of Commander Thomas Argendim of the Airports?
We need "thousands" more police. But we still aren't short handed. Right , Eddie ?
How the guck can you fire a guy who has been found not guilty ?! The not guilty stems from a supposed victim that flat out lied under oath and then there was the leaked report that originated from where ???
Oh yeah .....IPRA. This fucking city is so corrupt and full of shit. The biggest disappointment in this whole story is that the media refuses to cover the corrupt city and its officials
Every news story involving a Police Officer that is under investigation for anything is refered to as a suburban Chicago Police officer no matter what department they work for.
You might as well forget the "testing scandal." Everyone else has, including the feds.
There very well may be thousands. In my unit there are about 250 names volunteering throughout the weekend.. However many of them are working two days but I'm sure there are well over one or two thousand citywide working over the weekend on RDO. Hey, it's a much better system than cancelling days off
Soon people are actually signing up to work this initiative??? So much for staying fetal. So much for sending a message. So much for sticking together. I suppose we know our price and it ain't all that much! (hell, I know whores who charge more than what's being offered for this!) But keep taking it on the chins, boys and girls...now that Rahm knows we will sell out for nothing more than a few hundred dollar bills/a little time on the books look for a contract rewrite coming down for a non-pensionable type raise...and we will collectively dive at it at the first opportunity. Incredible. News flash-when you took this job you acquiesced to never being a millionaire...you will never have the finer things, sorry. So why are we so quick to jump at the almighty dollar? Why do we sell out so quickly? Give up our principles for a few bucks? Lose time with our family for some comp time? It's really a shame.
Wow...a fixed wing aircraft...and praytell, Rick Flair, how's THAT been helping out with the expressway shootings?
Let's start the 4 day weekend off right. A homicide at 0015 in 007. 72nd/Aberdeen
I think they meant "increase the deceased" not "decrease in the increase"
The forces of evil tremble at this mighty show of police force. For the weekend at least Chicago and it's citizens is safe.
SCC, you made me spit out my coffee on this one!
Unless Leo has A-10's with missiles and authority to strafe the expressways, we don't see aircraft making a difference, but he might get some decent pictures if the city catches fire.
LMFAO!
Stay home don't work have fun with the family
Deployed to do nothing.
Go get 'em Leo. Where will Glenn be deployed this weekend?
GE should not be fired, but promoted. His no pay status awaiting trial was ridiculuos. IPRA should be sanctioned for their vendetta against him. GE should be cloned and the ghetto would be a safer place. I hope he got back pay and wins a large settlement for false arrest.
If the lowly blue shirt was making false statements whether written or oral, rest assured an investigation would be launched. STOP your public rule 14 violations, Eddie. Lyin',cheatin' piece of shit! Is there not one single media outlet willing to challenge him on this when the numbers are in black and white? This city and department stinks from the top down. 1st and 16th, nothing more. I hope one day soon, we will make a stance and come together. I'm afraid that it will take some bloodshed and dark times before it happens. BE SAFE.
Make that 57 homicides as of 9:00a.
-WHT
Million's not thousand's
Copters. Planes. Thousands of officers. Extra troopers. And none of it will make a damn difference. It won't cure the social issues of the City of Chcago.
Testing scandal, what testing scandal, they just honored Williams at the luncheon. There is no scandal, nothing to see here, move along.
More police planes on expressway blah blah blah blah. I predict it won't stop the mayhem it's already to late.
WTF, how does this goof from IPRA by the name of Fairley up a penalty that IPRA already recommended to the Supt to be a 15 day suspension but in a "do over" it's a separation ? I smell a rat that likely involves the filthy and smelly fingerprints of City Hall weasels in upping the penalty against Lt. Evans. Can you say contract violation, ULP, and future lawsuit.
This weekend will shatter records just like Trump. The entire establishment ganged up on like like Goliath vs David and he came out roaring like the Incredible Haulk out of a YUGE pile of rubble.
This weekend Chicago Police Department, Crook County and the ISP will throw everything they got at the beast that is Shitcago's BEAST and when they claim to have chopped of its ugly head it will reappear with seven giant beast heads and laugh in everyone's face.
So what do you do then? City cancelled many days off for the weekend, hired back hundreds, created missions, arrested "hundreds" of the mist violent offenders.
The beast that is Shitcago will chew them up and spit them out.
Stay safe all. Protect yourselves, your families and your partners. God bless.
CPD barely has enough to staff to the bare minimum so where's Eddie getting these "thousands" of extra officers?
Allowing officers to work their RDO and putting everyone in uniform is simply a band aid attempt at camouflaging the fact that we're dangerously short on manpower.
Anyone know why the sergeant's association has been quiet on the amount of sergeants retiring in May and June?
5/27/2016 06:47:00 AM
-----------------------
I was at the last sergeant's meeting May 19th, were you?
They said around 52 retired for May.
You want the union to provide cake and coffee ALSO?
Smoke and mirrors my friends. Stay fetal, make the money and try to enjoy the weekend.
This place has become a complete joke. The communist propagandists are working overtime. Evans was found not guilty and they still try to play the DNA angle in a slanted way to try to gain points. Nice try, shitheads. Fuck this communist Chicago media and their bullshit.
----------------------
Sorry.
Evans would have been a great copper in the 1960s and 70s
However he is a loose cannon that will cost the taxpayers (us) millions of dollars.
He will also get coppers jammed up who work for him.
Seeing as we are doing it all incorrectly, I'm fetal until we have a leader to lead the correct way.
Merit to the rescue!!

And it's a much worse system than hiring the number of police officers we need.
God Bless you and your families. I have just returned from a breakfast of fellow veterans and had an honor to meet with a few Korean War/Vets along with +90 year YOUNG vets who Damon near moved me to tears because they were still wiith true warrior spirit and humility. To all of my fellow vets and law enforcement professionals be careful and please look out for each other and refuse to be a coward under the auspices of administrative bullies who are worse than fecal waste. Make sure you do not allow for yourselves to cave in to negative forces that the armchair quarterback pundits are constantly throwing at you. My sister's and brothers from the toilet inside (jails and prisons) you know how game goes. Be careful! God Bless you great servers of the public.

Officers on duty disability that can baby sit , travel by airplane , drive to part time jobs , drive to school , walk , talk can surely be put back to work in a clerical position . It is a scam , many of the officers are under 50 years old , been on disability for years , force them back to work . Let them replace full duty officers that are in caps , review , commanders office . Assign them in a cubicle to write reports , answer telephones .
5/26/2016 08:08:00 AM
Because they had to retire in May to get the 55 free insurance. The actual number will be around 60 gone.
Don't look over here at the the CPD that is under manned at the the patrol level and detective level. Don't look over here at the lack of rapid response units to quell hot spots. Don't look at the lack of competent supervisors due to merit promotions. Don't look into da mayor looking at the Laquan video before his election. Na let's look at the code of silence of the racist police. Let's find all the old videos of police actions and re-hash them. 1968 democratic riots make good press. Have to find a way to prosecute some of those racist police. But in the mean time keep running every police video you can find, don't matter if the officer has been found not guilty, is still under investigation and will be found not guilty. Just run it or any police related story every week. Especially run it in the scum times. We all know that you only need a third grade reading level to read that rag. That will keep those scum times readers appeased and they won't care about the violence they endure every day. Its the racists police fault. Right mayor
ISP always boasts that they are deploying "additional" manpower during holiday weekends. Unfortunately, that usually means that the house mouses leave their offices and coffee cups early and make a traffic stop or two on the way home. Smoke and mirrors. The ISP used to be able to saturate all the Chicago expressways with dedicated manpower, but that was back in the mid to late 80's when they were fully staffed. Attrition and budget cuts have since turned them into a reactive force, much like CPD these days.
Retired ISP Sgt
Just when there can be a statement made with the coming bloodshed and murder this weekend, we race to answer the desperate calls for working your day off to save some kind of shred of civility to this city. Just stay home and enjoy your family maybe give them a hug and share a barbecue with them, it sure beats trying to make time and a half for some chump change. Or come over my house for a barbecue n beer, your worth it.
07:21am. Totally agree! An incident can happen in Berwyn and the media will still report it as "suburban Chicago". Just say Berwyn police or whatever suburb police. Gets me pissed everytime I hear that!
Maybe the non prosecuting feds (Hillary) or the state police can show us how it's done this weekend, I'm sure they'll do everything just perfect in any circumstances. Haha. Cpd, stay home and enjoy, fuck this non appreciating city.
Two murders already by 0730. That leaves a lot of weekend left to run the homicide number up.
Congratulations are in order to Retired Chief Eugene Williams on being awarded the prestigious William Powers Leadership Award. Well deserved.
Don't look here..... look over there!

That is exactly what they would like.
Awfully ironic that they claim to be hard at work at restoring "trust" huh?
Eddie: knock your fiancé and her friends back down to Sgt. and discipline them.
Then maybe you can start with that restoring "trust" thing.
I called fop today and it was closed around 1330 hours. Just curious any openings....scc can you post if there is. Thanks
Already two murders today (Friday)...good start to this Memorial Day weekend
Bring on the madness Chicago
Officers please be safe, no unnecessary risks this weekend
He should back Evans . Evans a hard charger , more aggressive than most , probably the most aggressive sine Ernie left the job . I have the feeling Glen will put the blinders on , no ISR for him .
Every news story involving a suburban Police Officer that is under investigation for anything is referred to as a Chicago Police officer no matter what department they work for.
I've noticed this too
Preponderance of evidence is all that IPRA needs to recommend an officer be fired. the court requires a higher level of proof to find someone guilty. apples and oranges. Hence the dna on Evans gun is enough to get him fired, but not suffice due to errors made by either IPRA or the state attorney in handling the case.
Heard they are putting all citation officers back on the desk due to very very low activity.
IPRA and the Supt. are arguing about the penalty for Evans which might be settled by the police board. But, if Rahm gets his way and he might, the new civilian agency will be completely independent of the department. In other words, they will investigate, determine and set the penalty with no input from the superintendent at all. No command channel review. If you don't like the finding or penalty you will be able to appeal it to the police board, but Ramn wants the board also taken out of the equation. The city will have to radically change the contract for this, but public pressure and the media are on the mayor's side in this one.
DA mayor is a failure!
Can anyone point to any successful crime deterrents in the last 10 years?
Remember than predicting computer? Any one know where that laptop is store at HQ?
How about snitch box? Any good info from that?
How about the stolen money for gun sound detection system how many actually still work?
This one should be a theft case because a homice happened right under one!
Facial recognition? not enough time to run the hundred of images captured a day!
How many guns are being lost or stolen a day in Chicago? That s right none of them are registered .
Anybody know when the NEW dicks test will be graded?
Well back to being FETAL i am thinking pork chop for the BBQ this weekend enjoy the COMP time.
Gene Williams Update:
It's true that he was given a "leadership" award at the Recognition Ceremony. It is also true that the entire NOBLE table, including Nakia, Maryet, and Davina (gee, what could they have in common?) whooped it up like fools and gave him a standing ovation. I'd like to say that the rest of the audience sat on their hands, but unfortunately that is not the case. At least they remained seated, though. We won't miss you, Gene. You were corrupt, inept, and STUPID.

I suggest that the State chopper pilot and observer use ther body armor as a seat cushion while circling over the Ryan. They wouldn't want to get named "Magnet Ass".

Retired and moved to Minsk.
Not-quite-off-topic:
You idiots (reporters and politicians) who keep referring to the Code of Silence as the same thing as The Thin Blue Line... THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.
The Thin Blue Line is the thing that stands between you and the criminals. Police are the thin line separating you from those who would do you harm. It has ZERO to do with the fantasy 'code of silence' you're all harping about.
I'm PROUD to be part of the Thin Blue Line that protects you. But, God, how stupid ARE you, anyway? Don't make up new definitions because they sound cool. THE THIN BLUE LINE IS THE POLICE, the few who stand in front of you and protect you.
Gene Evans to head UIC police.
Thousands!
Lyin' Ed is giving the media a figure that equates to the entire manpower roster that would be normally working the watches, the units, the house mouse desks, everywhere. Maybe 200 at best will 'volunteer' to work a an rdo.
Nothing new.
Thousands!
Only an idiot would believe Lyin'Ed and his democrat babble.
The public is once again duped.
When seconds count...LYIN'Ed has the answers.
Stay safe and don't let the DOJ memorialize your actions this weekend.
I want to see a State Police Airplane Land on the expressways and write a mover!
Leo, you will do and say anything for a TV spot.
They again, the do close down the expressways for 4 hours or more quite regularly for a lost bullet casing.
Just saying.....
Should we close the beaches again
Leo the Lout, Useless Tool. ISP worse than ever.
just in time the city is releasing over 100 videos of police officers, fairley and her crew are excited:

Perfect time for announcement memorial day, coppers making tons of cash staying featl, thanks sharon for another reason to put my new dvd player to good use! Got gas? check! Air work check! Perfect, just need a large slurpee and some chips n dip and going to be a happy camper! "show me the money" thanks rahm!
the media always reports IPRA does not punish officers for shootings. Does the media ever look at the other ways IPRA has screwed cops over on bullshit? High percentage. But shootings fits the narrative. Why let facts get in the way?
A Southside funeral home sounds about right.
Fuck this department and the overtime.
I know can make $ome $erious CA$H if I own one.
Especially, if I have a stand outside the funeral house selling "hot cheetos" grape soda, blunts and 40 oz's.
In 022, we have almost every copper who is RDO working one of the days. So many in fact, that we dont have enough cars for all of them. Several 2-man cars on 2nd watch both days. Cant be any sweeter than that. Time and a half, with a partner, and still ain't doing an ISR!

100% true sir!
Congratulations are in order to Retired Chief Eugene Williams on being awarded the prestigious William Powers Leadership Award. Well deserved.
5/27/2016 01:19:00 PM
I hope that this was a sarcastic post intended to be humorous.
First, Gene Williams standing on the stage with other department members who are being honored as heroes is wrong. He is currently under investigation by the same department who honored him with a "leadership" award.
And second, I knew Powers well, and whatever he was, I would never have described him as a "leader," either. The award is named after him because he was connected to the superintendent and he had the misfortune of dying young after many years of chain-smoking.
Also, maybe it does make sense that Williams received this nonsense award, as one of the first honorees was "Drunk Tank" Frank R., who often came to work in an impaired state. The bar is not set very high for this award.
And last, how long is the department going to continue to kiss Phil Cline's ass? It seems that he gets honored every year with some award, as he is treated as if he is a great humanitarian. Granted, the Memorial Foundation does great things, but Phil is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He is paid very well ($190,00 plus?) to run the foundation, and that is on top of his very generous sworn pension. He doesn't do this work as a charity, IT IS HIS JOB.
Coppers from 22 will be detailed to 6 for the weekend . We have extra cars in 6 and need the help .
"After a violent winter and spring..."
Now it's the seasons that are doing it. I thought it was the guns. Or something called Crime. But it's Mr. Winter and Mrs. Spring. Everything is responsible - but the people who are doing it.

You nailed the distinction between the two processes. The standard, however, for getting fired is a lot lower than the "preponderance of the evidence standard." It is substantially lower. And you are correct that the dna on the gun is probably enough to get the accused fired.
The good thing about Williams winning the "leadership" award is that he did help more minorities get promoted to lieutenant, and maybe a few to sergeants. Basically he is saying, without the cheating, they could not have been promoted on their own. They could not study on their own. They could not make it on their own.
So now you know what you are dealing with.
Any person who cheated to get ahead, know this, you will never be respected in your ill-gained position. Not that it matters, because when you took the oath of office to swear and uphold the law, you had your fingers crossed behind your back. The oath means nothing to you. You know nothing about police work or being a police officer. Enjoy your elevated station, bigger paycheck, take-home car, because that is all you will enjoy.
In addition, that goes for any person, regardless of race, gender, nationality, etc., who got promoted without doing it on their own abilities and brown-nosed their way to get promoted in this department.
The news media failed to report that Leo and Ellyn will personally be piloting that fixed-wing aircraft, with Leo prepared to parachute down to the expressway armed with several AK-47's, all Rambo-like, to quell the violence. That man is a legend. It isn't a coincidence that his first name and the acronym for Law Enforcement Officer are one and the same.
Signed,
A Law Enforcement Officer, but not a Leo.
So much for staying fetal. So much for sending a message. It's millions,I say.

I worked two jobs during my entire police career. I had to to provide for my family, housing, education and an occasional vacation. Yes, a vacation but not to any exotic location, usually Florida or Wisconsin. Never could afford a summer cabin. I really understand why people will work these secondary employment opportunities. They might not want to or might not agree with the administration, but they need the money for their family or the comp time to spend time with their family. This is a better deal then you can find on the civilian market working security jobs. I am retired now with my pension and some money in deferred comp. No, not a millionaire, but doing OK and happy that I have left the job behind. Worked full time for 8 years after retirement for a corporation. I was treated way better by this corporation then I ever was by the department. They treated me as an adult with respect and the people I worked for were competent, a far cry from the police department .
00% true sir!

It is rare to see the ISP on Chicago roads these days. I feel for them making stops on the roads on the West and South sides in one man cars. Everything in Illinois is now smoke and mirrors as the state if broke and the democrats just keep doing the same thing that got us here in the first place. Never a thought about reducing the size of government,

You have to admit that the clouted merit promotees do have an advantage over the rest of us. They make high rank and when they retire they have a great resume. The exempts get additional training opportunities that is not available to others and when they apply for a job after retirement they stand a better chance. However, a job in government and a job in private industry are two different things. Many of these clout babies cannot make it in private industry and do not last long. UIC Police is political
The ISP used to be able to saturate all the Chicago expressways with dedicated manpower, but that was back in the mid to late 80's when they were fully staffed. Attrition and budget cuts have since turned them into a reactive force, much like CPD these days.
Retired ISP Sgt
Sarge, pinch yourself-you're dreaming!
Respectfully, ISP never came close to the impact the CPD Traffic Division had on the Chicago expressways.
All smoke and mirrors as you say. And so much worse to this day.
Give the expressways back to CPD then step to the side and go back to the tollways where your guys belong.

Anyone know why the sergeant's association has been quiet on the amount of sergeants retiring in May and June?

=======================
Who cares???
Pull up a seniority list or the list of retirees from personnel.
If you can't figure it out for yourself, you're not too bright!
"Chicago highways have seen 20 shootings so far this year..."
More like 28 if you count Lake Shore Drive, including the double last night w/1 fatal.

Ok...is it Gene Williams, or Glenn Evans? Or have these two somehow combined their forces to become the Dynamic Duo of the UIC Police Department? I'll believe anything at this point.
Does the UIC Police Dept. ever give promotional exams? If so, WATCH OUT!

Ellyn is nuts, but Leo he has policing in his soul, he will always be the police and to my knowledge never burned a copper. Now on the other hand we have eddie who cannot even resolve a simple examscam2016 cheating allegation, by demoting them, all! Since the doj is already here eddie did you man up and bring them into your sanctum fro help resolving this scandal? "respect is earned not grated" have you earned it? how about the "gold star pension grabbing club?" LOL!
Yeah, there will definitely be thousands of extra officers in Chicago over the weekend. I heard they borrowed about 1500 or so just from Morton Grove alone, and Skokie even volunteered about 500 of their guys, too! Wilmette may join the party with 1,000 of theirs, if they aren't too busy.

Do you recall why the ISP were given the expressways that run through the city? For one, they should have had them along along as is the case in every city in America. Secondly, the BGA and IAD did undercover stings on the traffic division ( the old white hat unit) that worked the freeways. It seems the division was noted for shaking down motorists. The traffic guys had to wear recorders for a bit that did not slow down the complaints. ISP did not want the freeways and had to transfer troopers from Southern Illinois and house them in local hotels until they could hire more people.
"I want to see a State Police Airplane Land on the expressways and write a mover!"
And when the trooper come back the tires will be gone and it will be sitting on milk crates...

I remember when she was a new Sgt. And Harley yelled at her. She went to the car and cried. Hence, forth known as the crying Sgt. But I guess she got the last laugh because she made Lt. And retired early.
