Culmination of "No Chase"

  • Police issued an alert Saturday warning of several vehicular hijackings that happened Friday on the North and Near West sides. In the carjackings, victims had their vehicle taken at gunpoint or stolen while their car was running, unlocked and unoccupied, Chicago police said.

The spree started at 9:45 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue. About 10:20 a.m., another car was taken in the 1700 block of Wabansia Avenue. Five more vehicles were taken shortly after the Wabansia carjacking:

    • At 11:19 a.m. in the 700 block of West Hubbard Street.
    • At 2:46 p.m. in the 3500 block of North Clark Street.
    • At 6:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
    • At 7:05 p.m. in the 700 block of North Armour Street.
    • At 9:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Bosworth Avenue.
  • An auto garage was broken into early Saturday in the River West neighborhood.

About 2:30 a.m., the offender or offenders broke into an auto garage in the 600 block of North Green Street, according to Chicago Police.

It was not immediately known whether any vehicles were stolen, police said.
And that's still not all:
  • SCC, numerous car-jackings around the city last night - 012, 014, 018 and 019. They also hit a well known luxury car dealer last night and got a bunch of BMW's that are driving around the west side now. Seems all the cameras in the dealership are "BART Specials" as in "fake." None of them work. This is the second time the dealership has been hit for multiple cars. It seems no one learns.
Remember, if you want more bad behavior, reward it with no consequences. Armed robbery, rape, car theft, murder.

What is happening in Chicago?

Why not sit and wait at some car dealer with a heavily-armed detail and wait for the car-jackers to show up. Ambush them and cut them to pieces. No more car-jackings.

OK - not the "politically correct" way to stop it, but much more effective.

CPD would never do this, but hopefully there is no Mob-owned dealership. They won't hold the misguided intruders until CPD shows up and let the Cook County court system give a 60-day probation sentence to all of them.

O.K., And when there is No Physical Description of the "Youths", we all know that these are Canadians! So, what happens if you get in a pursuit with one of these vehicles? If you are some how, by some quirk of fate, or blown tire, fortunate enough to some how curb the stolen vehicle without crashing and making an innocent bystander's family an Instant Millionaires in the Ghetto Lottery; do any of you really think the "Alleged" offender will be punished? If they are juveniles, they will be turned over to a parent, "Play" uncle, or other "Responsible" adult, which means any adult they can get to come in who is not high! If it is an adult offender, he/she or in 019 a an actual Heshe, will be given Probation. If the chase involves a Crash; with this States Attorney, the cops may face indictment and prosecution. If you sustain a "Non Life Threatening", but certainly Life Changing injury, YOU are screwed. I know that every Real Cop, upon seeing a stolen vehicle is like a dog seeing a squirrel and there is that instinct and desire to chase. However, these are different times. Once you turn on those lights, you are beginning a documentary, created for the benefit of Loevy & Loevy to use as evidence against YOU. And Sergeants; do not hesitate to order pursuits to cease immediately upon being advised that one has been initiated, or YOU too will be defendants. In Cook County, the pursuing cops will be held responsible for the actions of the fleeing auto thief. Sorry, but that is Reality 101. No Vehicle is worth what will result from a high speed crash. This is the world Democrats have created, and the good citizens apparently approve of it, because they keep electing that Party. Look out for yourselves and your families First! Baby "G"

the neighborhood " YUTS" have been ripping off the car dealerships on south Western Avenue for decades. They have fences, lights, cameras and off duty cops working at night to stop this nonsense. These YUTS have gotten jobs as car hikers to get access to the keys. And, in at least one instance that I recall a mechanic at the dealership was in on the theft . When you brought your car in for service, he got your address and gave that and a key to the thief who then went for your car in the middle of the night. This stuff will go on forever as auto theft is not taken seriously

The SA offices is more concerned about going after coppers for BS then assholes trying to disarm the police, car jackers, or any other felony. Tiny Dancer is stealing the city blind and wasting money on BS while he lets the city's legal obligations (pensions) go belly up. And nobody in authority seems to give a shit. To all you kids thinking about coming on....DON'T, you will regret it for the rest of your life. To all the youngsters now on the job, if you can, get out. Every day it just seems like the working, tax paying citizen of the city better be more prepared to take care of any situation that comes up by him/her self. The criminals don't care about anything but themselves. Don't expect mercy. When confronted, don't show mercy. The justice system in Chicago/Cook County takes care of that.

Dealerships using fake cameras. SMH!

If the culprits are teens, parents should be held responsible. If they're collecting public assistance, withdraw a percentage for damages. Hopefully, parents will take action.
For working parents, same applies.

Teens should be placed behind bars to contemplate their illegal actions.

If adults, 17-plus are the criminals, off to prison. Bonds denied.

To the citizens of Chicago. Ever see the commercial for life lock. Irvine, CA - I have become somewhat enamored by the LifeLock commercial titled, “Fix it.” In that commercial, bank robbers come storming into a bank breaking a display and yelling, “Everybody on the floor.” As everyone hits the floor a man in a security uniform remains standing and one of the customers whispers, “Do something!” He replies, “Oh, I’m not a security guard. I’m a security monitor. I only notify people if there is a robbery.” After a brief glance around he passively says, “There’s a robbery.” The commercial narrator then says, “Why monitor a problem if you don’t fix it?” This is what Rahm and the city council is reducing the CPD officers to, crime monitors and this practice tells the criminal element there will be no police chasing you in a vehicle or on foot when you commit a crime. This practice should be outraging every law abiding citizen in the city that places each and every one of them in the perilous position of being a crime victim. Every policy coming out of the 5th floor promotes the agenda of the criminal, reduces the effectiveness of the police officer and the results are proof positive, that being we are the most violent city in the country where criminals enjoy a 1 in 10 chance of ever being caught for the crimes they commit. Is this civilization or some weird twisted experiment where bloodshed is the byproduct of accepting the behavior of those who refuse to be civilized???????????? Truly this city is a Twilight Zone and Rahm is Rod Steiger.

I'm not a cop, so can someone explain if stealing a vehicle whose owner was stupid enough to leave it unlocked, running and unattended is actually considered carjacking? Auto theft, yes, but carjacking? I thought to carjack the criminal had to make some kind of direct contact with the owner of the vehicle.

Also, is it just me, or does the story of the BMW dealer who did nothing to enhance security after the first round of auto thefts so he got hit again sound a bit fishy? Would a legitimate businessman in Chicago really be that stupid and careless? Could the rash of thefts at that dealership really be cover for something else? I would think the dealer's insurance company would have required him to beef up security.

Obama's city!

4/30/2017 01:11:00 AM

_____________________

Call me Mr. Lips

"Obama is a __________ who seeks to declare a national emergency, round up everyone who disagrees with him, and put them in concentration camps." That blank can be filled with a variety of words, from cheapjack to jargonaut to deadbeat to psychopath. Each of those words accurately depicts Obama for who he really is. Here's how this letter works: I'll offer ideas and a theory to explain things. You bring your own experiences to bear on the matter of Obama's conniving denunciations, supplementing them where necessary with information from this letter. Together we will uplift individuals and communities on a global scale to banish intolerance.

Obama is the secret player behind the present, obtuse political scene. He must be brought out from behind the curtain before it's too late, before his tuft-hunters alter, rewrite, or ignore past events to make them consistent with his current “reality”. Obama can blame me for the influx of subversive, sanguinary ergophobics if it makes him feel better, but it won't help his cause any. We cannot afford to waste our time, resources, and energy by dwelling upon inequities of the past. Instead, we must fight Obama with everything we've got. Doing so would be significantly easier if more people were to understand that if I recall correctly, Obama's appalling misjudgment and obstinacy in feeding us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions are already being discussed quite widely—so much so, in fact, that Obama's equally staggering misjudgments regarding hoodlumism are escaping well-merited ridicule and rebuke. To rectify that pretermission, allow me to observe that if we put Obama's nefarious, jaded tricks out to pasture then the sea of faddism, on which Obama so heavily relies, will begin to dry up.

If you think that the world can be happy only when Obama's poststructuralism squad is given full rein, then think again. Obama promises that if we give him and his advocates additional powers, he'll guard us from the most savage pseudoscientists you'll ever see. My question, however is, Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?—Who will guard the guards? He is not a responsible citizen. Responsible citizens extricate as many people as possible from Obama's grip. Responsible citizens unequivocally do not destroy our moral fiber. Finally, no letter about Obama would be complete without mention of some of the utterly niddering schemes that he supports. Although there are a plenitude of examples from which to choose, the most niddering would have to be his proposal to tear down all theoretical frameworks for addressing the issue. That's the sort of thing that keeps me up at night.

12 went from close to 500 officers 4 years ago, to now having less than 290 to cover TWO 12/13 districts. So much for Rahms promise that police service would temain the same. Add a jagbag commander who distroyed two once great districts, its no wonder nothing gets solved in 12.

It's no wonder why the cost of auto insurance in the city never goes down! Another benifit of the urban environment...

Truth!

Dropped State Farm because they've gotten
really stupid with their increases over the years.

I pulled a car over a couple of weeks ago for a traffic violation. As I was getting out of the squad it pulled off. I waved goodbye then scolded myself. Why the hell did I even bother trying to do my job. Lesson learned. Im a better read person now. Two books down and on my third. Thanks ACLU. I've learned quite a bit these last couple of weeks.

Well, if there are no chases, then there won't be any arrests, thus making the saying, "you aren't going to arrest your way out of this" very true.

Then I guess rather than it being a saying, it's an order...

Tell your insurance company that your car got stolen because YOU left the keys in it.

Don't be surprised when the insurance company denies payment. Citing "contributory negligence"

Stupid has a price.

Back in the 1970's there was a restaurant in the south suburbs. When Frank Sinatra played at the venue in Hickory Hills it was said he stopped there for an authentic ethnic dinner from his native region. The place also took care of the local police. When we worked rotating shifts we had shift change parties there. They would pick up the entire tab, including booze, just reminding us to take care of the wait staff. It was also a popular spot with up and coming members of certain "families". The bank across the street let them park cars there. In a matter of 3 days, seven high end cars were "removed" from the bank lot and "relocated" to chop shops on the south end of the city. I'm sure there were a bunch of either unsolved homicides, or agg batts with no complaining witness, and auto thefts just all of sudden stopped at said location.

Yes, citizen who asked, it is an auto theft not car jacking if keys are left in it. But that doesn't sound as good on the 10:00 news, so the media makes up their own crime. Just like CBS constantly calls late night smash and grabs robberies, when they are burglaries. Must make it sound sexy.

Who's has a Ghoul Pool going on the next District with a Chase that results in a crash and a CTTV misdemeanor?
Who has 6 fleeing westbound wearing all black?

Stay Fetal - somewhere there's an insurance adjuster that needs the work.

All this is great to hear. However, what made me smile the most today, was hearing that Special Ed's unmarked police SUV was broken into while parked right in front of his crib.

His hat with shield was rumored to be in the car and left put by the offender(s). But now for the $100,000 question...

What WAS taken from the vehicle? Anyone over at 277 care to enlighten the readers here at SCC?

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
YES!! It is true. Special Ed had his city vehicle broken into. I am one of the Detectives that were sent to the scene. Ed was asked if anything of value was missing from the car. He looked around and after opening the glove compartment he informed us that nothing of value was missing. BUt he did tell us that his "Ball's" were missing from the glove compartment. But seeing that he can't use them anymore, he told us not to worry about it.

That is all

Same thing when 019/023 merged. 420 at the merge, 325 at the furlough picks 8-9 months later. Less than that after the mass exodus of 2014...do more with less.

I wish Rahm actually drove, so that he could actually face the threat of being car-jacked. I'm not evil enough to wish that he be car-jacked, but I am just evil enough to wish that he will no longer be mayor, and that his detail will be removed, and that he, as a regular citizen will have to deal with all of the bullshit that we do. And maybe, he will be forced to dip into his own personal reserve to pay for security. It's just a thought, but indeed, an absolute wish. He is the worst of the worst and he doesn't care about any one of us be they the white, black, brown or yellow. Time for him to go.

Indiana will not sell handguns to IL residents, so how are the police going to purchase their guns?

-------------

Kiesler located in Indiana sells to the police ONLY.

They will deliver to the academy or your station.

They are selling Glock 43s for $358.00 plus tax.

Busy insurance adjuster reader: Yes, we pay the claim if you leave the keys in the ignition IF you are the victim of a crime. Um,,,we pay you and the loan company. They get paid first and I hope you are not upside down in the car loan. I can't do anything about the fact you may have a shitty credit rating, did not put enough down and now you owe more money than the car is worth. Oh, don't give up the keys to get out of the loan, sometimes I get lucky and prove that is what you did. Then I just pay the loan company.

And if someone steals your car and crashes, we could be on the hook for third party property damage and injuries. So pay attention to what the fuck you are doing and put the damn cell phone down. And quit lying to us and telling us you were not on it when you crash. And quit lying to us when you crash at 3am and you have not been drinking. I will tell you, I hear more lies by 9am than most cops do.

In the "old west" they hanged horse thieves. Cars have "horse power". Given that if we liken the cars power to a horse, why can't we apply the law that pertained to stealing a horse to stealing a car?

Where have you gone, Judge Roy Bean? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.

Call me Mr.

How about we just call you what you are, a delusional asshat?
