The Drumbeat Continues

Rahm's tame press comes up with an anti-police article on a near-daily basis:
  • The huge divide between Chicago cops and many of the people they serve and protect becomes even more obvious if you follow the runoff campaign for police union president.

The Chicago Police Department’s ranks don’t have to be on the same wavelength as general public opinion in the city.

But the rhetoric from the two candidates to lead the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 suggests they’re trying to appeal to cops who are far more in line politically with places like Alabama than Chicago.
You see what Dan MouthOnRahm'sCockous did there? CPD is like the 1950's-60's democrats in Alabama who strove to keep Jim Crow laws alive and deny American citizens their rights. This because much of the Department dares to be conservative in their leanings rather than anti-law-and-order types.
  • In a city Donald Trump lost badly in last year’s presidential election, incumbent FOP President Dean Angelo and runoff challenger Kevin Graham both clearly feel the best way to win votes is to sidle up to the Trump administration as much as possible.

Many cops didn’t think much of a U.S. Department of Justice report released three months ago, days before President Barack Obama left office. The feds found police shot at fleeing suspects who didn’t pose an immediate threat and failed to address racially discriminatory behavior within the department.
Because cops who actually read the report realized it was (A) a copy and paste job from previous "consent decrees," (B) written by a bunch of DOJ lawyers with a perfect 20-and-20 (or so) record for finding "patterns and practices" wherever they looked, and (C) was full of dozens incidental, unverified, third party, apocryphal stories that don't stand up to a laugh test.

Read the rest if you like, but keep spew-able beverages away from the computer. One has to wonder if an actual reporter even exists at the Slum Times any more and if the persons working there have any clue how they're being manipulated day in and day out.

There's no story here at all. Just reaching by the media. What other union's presidential election has been covered by the media like this? None, because its a non story.

Amazing that people believe the media with bullshit articles like this. Its stupid how misled people are. And it will never change. The media controls Americans feeble minds. It's been like that for over 50 years. Too much $$$$ being made steering people away from what's really going on.

No facts to support this smear job just innuendos and stereotypical BS. They send these worthless reporters out to grab onto anything to make the police look bad because everybody likes controversy and they can't smear and insult any other group without facing consequences from political activists. Creating controversy about the police is now job security for reporters. They know they'll never lose their jobs for doing a hit piece about the police.

This is Dan Mihalopoulos' second anti-CPD screed
in as many months.

Local print media is very thankfully dying and
sliding over the edge into the abyss and dragging
these so-called reporters along with it.

Hell... We remember when Chicago Today went under.
the first few pages were old news, the last few pages were
sports, the funnies were in the middle and the other 25
to 30 pages was bullshit advertising.

(We still mourn the Chicago Daily News.
The Sunday edition was for sitting at the kitchen table
after church with the old man and Granddad. The knock
on the Daily News was it was "too high-hat" of a paper?)

Anyhoo...
Dan and his progressive litter-mates seem to
want some sort of apology from The Police
for being The Police.

"You guys are just too...
Well... Too!"

Funny... They won't say SHIT about what
Dude Inc. is doing to this city.

Maybe they're afraid Dude will find out
where they live and crash a flaming car
through the front door of their formerly
safe domicile if they put poison pen to
paper like they're doing with The Police.

Dude Inc. has NO compelling rules of
conduct and Dude Inc. is not restrained
by condition of employment from punching
back when when defamed and slandered by
the media types here in Chicago.

Police Like You Have No Friends.

Respond.

Report.

Whistle for the body-snatchers.

Oversee the blood, brains, teeth, shit
and skull fragments being hosed
off the sidewalk.

Endure.
Resist.
Survive.
Retire.
Escape.

Rejoice in your integrity being intact
and that you neither need nor seek
approval or validation from such a
gelded weakling like Dan Mihalopoulos.
Revel in the friends you've made.
Remember those who passed on way too soon.

Hopefully you'll pull your "overly luxurious"
pension for more years than you worked.

You earned it.
Right?

Talked to a few old time reporters and they saynthis guy is at the top of the laughable list. Obviously in Rahms pocket. Guess he cant figure out who kept a lid on the Laquan video til after the election. As people kill each other in record numbers this is the best reporting this weasel, can do ? These reporters just read other lazy reporters stories and make a new one out of it. They wouldnt know how to investigate anything even if they tried. He needs a job with the BGA. They are exposing the horrors and waste within some suburban park district police. Milahopolis can really add his insight there.

I read the DOJ report, and it was a Boiler Plate hatchet job, that would not have been acceptable in a Calumet College Graduate Course, and that is NOT a very high bar. Much of what they said in the report involved anecdotal information, impressions and opinions. There was no analysis of the balance between the fact that many parts of Chicago are virtually completely Black; so both suspects and offenders in those areas are also Black. The game plan appears to be that the DOJ under Obama was ultimately pursuing a virtual Nationalization of Major City Police Departments, right down to having everyone wear the same type of uniforms. If Hillary had won this goal would have been achieved. I am not wearing an aluminum foil hat, nor am I a Conspiracy theory person; but one cannot ignore that many of the key players in the Obama Administration were former Clinton people. Podesta, Axelrod, Leon Panetta, Rahm, Eric Holder; all of these key players in the Clinton Administration and their Staff subordinates, worked for Obama. Many of Obama's policies were carry overs from the Clinton Era, including Obamacare which was originally supposed to be Hillarycare. Oh, not to be forgotten, Rahm's brother Dr. Ezekial Emanuel, the guy who felt that when you reached a certain age; you should just die for the good of everyone else. The DOJ was making a grab to Nationalize American Policing. This has long been a goal of those who love a Big Federal Government. Sessions may be about to put that "Dream" on Hold, and Rahm does not like that. Watch out for each other, because YOU cannot trust Rahm. He is rapidly losing Power, so he is now more dangerous than ever. The VanDyke Trial is getting closer, and Rahm will be desperate. His concealment of the video was fatal to his National Political Ambitions! And his co-conspirators, like McCarthy will squeal. Baby "G"

Anyone else hear on wbbm news radio about Judge Chiampas being dumbfounded that the states attorney was refusing to prosecute dozens of violent parole violators even after probable cause was found by her that they indeed violated parole? It was reported she even called out to community activist Andrew Holmes who was in the courtroom "are you seeing this, refusing to prosecute." Even Holmes was disgusted stating something like "this is why the police are so pissed off at the justice system, it's a revolving door." Can't find a link to story I heard. Of course States Attorneys office had no comment.

Dan is your typical media writer: never faced evil in his life yet knows it all. And Dan, I don't want the typical lib response from you. You know, the "you took the job so quit if you hate it." No Dan, I love my job. I love helping people. I love when I help a real victim. I took this job to be a role model. But you know what I hate Dan? People like you, living in your posh suburban or Lincoln Park condo, telling me how I'm a racist, evil person when you have ZERO clue what I do day to day. I hate how you judge me cause I wear a blue uniform. Hate how you have never DEALT ONCE with what I deal with daily but you still call me a criminal. An uncaring piece of shit. And I also hate Dan that day to day I go to work knowing that one day that I may take a beating, or a bullet, to protect you. It really disgusts me. But yet I'd do it. No fanfare. Nothing.bwhy? Cause it's my job. My job is a calling and that calling is to protect you ,even though you hate me, from those who would kill you in a second, yet you consider them friends. It's honor, something you know zero about. I've lost 2 friends to bullets on this job Dan. You? Three times I started to pull the trigger but got lucky enough to not have too. Know how I felt Dan? Exhausted. Stressed. Yet I went to my next job. I didn't shoot and it was tiring, yet you believe in instant post shooting statements. Your ivory tower has no morality or love. It's liberal heaven and love of Rahm that guides you. One day Dan you will need help from the criminals that you protect yet the people you portray as criminals won't be there. Enjoy that chicago you want Dan. I can live with myself. Wondering how you can but then realized whores live with themselves everyday

Olmstead v US - Page 277 US 485 (1928) Associate Justice Brandeis dissenting opinion:
“Decency, security and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our Government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the Government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.”

When have the police in Chicago ever enjoyed the gratitude and support that police do in other communities in this nation?

Sessions is doing what he can but the consent decrees are enforced by the courts once they're in place.

And you will remember that in the recent past when the Dems had the power in Washington they changed the filibuster rule and allowed lower court federal judges to be approved with a simple majority in the senate – yes, the very same rule they've been howling AGAINST these past few weeks as it applies to the Supreme Courts. Well, shoe's on the other foot now. The problem is that Obama packed the lower courts with leftist judges who will uphold the decrees and block any attempts by Sessions' new DOJ to alter or scrap them:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2017/04/07/courts-formidable-obstacle-rolling-back-police-agreements/100164600/

https://www.citylab.com/crime/2017/04/what-jeff-sessions-can-and-cant-do-about-police-consent-decrees/521811/

The good news is that Sessions' new DOJ is unlikely to come up with new consent decrees. The other good news is that with Gorsuch now confirmed, the Supreme Court itself might now be called in to weigh on the lower judges' rulings and help roll back the decrees.

This is why Trump's election was so important. If the man does nothing else in the next four years, placing conservatives on the Supreme Court makes it all worth it.

Clearly the milquetoast is still experiencing meltdowns and can't get over Hillarys disastrous loss, but his vile jab is directed solely at white police officers.

There hasn't been a journalist, a real, honest, hard working journalist since Mike Royko.
Then there was John Kass (I'm boycotting for his relentless badgering suburban coppers UOF)
These were Journalists who didn't take the side of the Mayor's Office, the epicenter of all corruption in each and every city department.

CPD doesn't care about consent decrees, we been through it all in one form of another. City Hall runs the Department and everything that is wrong with it can be directly attributed to Demcrats Daley and Rahm. Policy changes after community demands are nothing new and consent decrees are not needed, so he can harp about Federal money the City wants to misappropriate on more failed and ineffective programs.

Milkalotaballs should get out from behind his desk and walk a beat in Engelwoods or Fillmore and grasp some of the community flavor.

The only way to stop this is for a collective "the emperor is naked" moment when ordinary taxpayers walk off the job.

You forget. They would never say how the CTU election was fixed for the lizard with the tumor. If you thought Republicans were afraid to say who they were voting for as a teacher about their election. This shithole was built on a swamp, wasn't it?

Read Investors Business Daily (IBD.com) for inciteful well written articles of national importance.
Their commentary comes from both sides of an issue (although I prefer the conservative view).
The articles and commentary are free to read and provide much in the way of practical knowledge.

Non officer here - white collar type but have been following SCC blog for about a year now.
I have a question: considering the entire Chicago & Cook County political structure is dead set against you guys & ladies actually doing your jobs, why in the hell do you continue to try? What would happen if every single one of you simply walked off the job tomorrow?
I mean between that jagoff Rahm, Preckwinkle, Kim Foxx (holy sh*t how is she qualified?), the aldermen, Tim Dart (wow what a tool!), and the majority of the judges, you guys don't stand a fighting chance - so why try?
Maybe I'm stupid but what is the point? Just walk away - what could they do to you!???

It's against out contract to strike. You can read our contract online.

You see Lt RK just got made Commander and a certain former Sup's son Lt MC didn't get along, of course MC didn't get along with the last one who got made Cap. Somebody needs to start getting along with people. I bet he can get along with people in a district.

SCC, what's with all the doom and gloom? I've worked alot harder for a lot less money. Just got back from a European Vacation on my 32 day furlough. Wasn't doing that at my last job. In my 5 years on I've noticed there are a bunch of officers with good attitudes. Come to work have some laughs back each other up ect... and yea we do work in the hood. Then there's the few that are just fucking miserable and bitch about everything. Just an observation.

(He's So) Respectable:
(Panther) Bobby Rush survived the '60s
relatively unscathed and joined the Establishment.
The Washington Establishment. Can't help but notice,
while everyone is at each other's throat (mayor-alder creatures-
CPD-CFD-teachers), the Black Poet don't write nothing at all, he
just sits back and lets it all be. Like clockwork: every 2 weeks,
direct deposit: federal paycheck. Cadillac Healthcare, vacation,
sick leave. Done pretty good for himself, so he stays above the
fray. Bobby can spot a false flag operation 5 miles away.
So while Rahm, McCarthy, Dean Angelo, and other cast members
tumble in the dryer, Bobby just stays cool and coasts to finish line.
The lesson learned of keeping a low pro and staying under the radar.

"Many cops didn’t think much of a U.S. Department
of Justice report released three months ago, days
before President Barack Obama left office...."

This theme/meme is repeated in Dan Mihalpoulos'
Cop-Hate writings.

It's as if he takes it personally that Chicago
Policemen aren't stepping on the backs of
each other's shoes to sign onto the Obama DOJ
word salad.

Any adult with common sense, discernment,
a firm grasp of the English language and
word usage/sentence structure, and has actually
READ THAT REPORT, will easily and reasonably
dismiss it as rushed, unscholarly, short on
supporting facts and and full of overheated
prose in an attempt to convince the reader of
something that isn't there instead of just
laying out the facts.

Of course we all know that facts fly into
the face of the prevailing narrative.

We also know that facts are superseded
by "feelings" in that same narrative.

Our high school Freshman English teacher
would have given the bearer of this "paper"
a big, fat, red "F!"

(He was a rough, mean and very difficult
instructor. "The majority of you WILL
fail this class." He wasn't shitting
the bull either. There were LOTS of
tears at the end of the semester.)

It's easy to demand that The Police
"Change" instead of "The Community."

Have u read about outfit wannabe joe Fergusons pick Laura Kunard for police oversight board? A total leftist social justice anti death penalty piece of shit put in to blame violence in Chicago on CPD and away from Rahm. She was at the Adler school clown college and her appointment insures Ferguson the new contract and allegiance to Rahm. Peete, the chief investigator of the inspector generals office is slow to look into a very serious police case involving one of the lieutant exams girls being investigated by the FBI. The case was referred to them by IPRA. Keep tuned for updates.

4/09/2017 04:35:00 PM

I heard that the lieutenant's exam cheating complaint had " legs", but I seriously doubt that. There is no way the mayor and democratic power brokers would allow that investigation to be sustained. It would rock the department and the city and probably result in indictments. Unless an outside agency, a federal agency, takes this up, I fully expect it to die a quiet death.

Well, I can't remember the last time we had 700 murdered in the ENTIRE State (AL). Of course, we bitter clingers down here in Hicksville don't mind reading about how many up North think we still live in the 40's & 50's, keep the liberals from moving our way. Having said that, all of you Coppers the article is speaking of are welcome to come on down. Clean air, lots of green space, low crime, low cost of living, large veteran population, you can actually walk in to a store, buy a weapon and carry it with you most every where you go and neither get shot nor arrested for it. We also have great Universities, THE single best State for College football period and the ladies, well, they are just beautiful Southern Bells.

Very, very true. The odor will not be eliminated for a long, long time. However, I thank the heavens multiple times a day, for allowing DJT to become President of the USA and not HRC.

Had HRC been elected to the highest office of the land, Barack Hussein Obama would have today become the SCOTUS replacement for the vacancy created by the death of Antonin Scalia.

Everybody that can't pass a test "legitimately" will get top spots. If you pass the test "legitimately," then be happy if you make it to watch commander. CPD only promotes the good bootlickers past watch commander
