Video Rescue

  • A frisky and thirsty pit bull was no doubt thankful for the long arm of the law Tuesday.

Chicago Police Officer Juan Farris — just two months out of his police academy training — plucked a helpless dog out of Lake Michigan, after it apparently leaped in to get a drink.

[...] Farris and Field Training Officer Daniel Guzman were responding to a four-vehicle crash in the Streeterville neighborhood about 6:30 a.m., when they came upon the dog, running up and down the bike path along Lake Shore Drive. Initially, officers suspected the dog had fled from one of the vehicles involved in the crash in the 600 block of North Lake Shore Drive.
Video at this link here. Nice job Kid - this will probably earn the Department a few fans among the pet set.

With the congressman being shot today we all know the story by now the best part of the story the most prevalent part by Senator Rand Paul:

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul told CNN "it would have been a massacre" without Capitol Hill Police.
"Nobody would have survived without the Capitol Hill police," Paul said on CNN. "It would have been a massacre without them."

There it is the police again do the job, surprised the media did not cut out this important part!Ahh the police are not the problem, but WE ARE the solution to the problem the thin Blue line again prevents further death or injury! Rahm put this statement in your office, send to all the owned anti-police Chicago media that you control! Thanking the police what a conceptual reality! May God bless the police!

A shout out to all of the congressional Sheep who admittedly cowered in the dugout while their fellow Congressman lay wounded in center field. Thank God for those brave first responders who, without regard for their own lives, engaged the suspect with only their pistols and neutralized the threat so the Congressional Sheep can then come out of hiding and attend to their wounded colleague. Watch the news and see how many thank the first responders versus telling the story of THEIR heroic acts.
Good job to all the first responders.

The job we all signed up always comes back to bite us when a chase leads to tragedy.
Who's going to remember the PO when eagerness goes beyond whatever the current social movement finds excessive or not enough?
Saving dogs is some of what we do in a days work, appreciated by some today - all forgotten tomorrow.
I'm sure the nutty over merited are examining the incident for flaws and infractions.

I just heard on the news that PETA has filed suit against Farris for interrupting the dogs recreational swim. It seems he was not attempting to get a drink of water but was actually practicing his entry into the water from a low board height.

The charges are that on or about the afternoon of 13th June, Officer Farris did intentionally run toward the dog, after he had made his stealthy entry into the water, causing the dog to become alarmed up seeing a human, no longer upright, but prostrate on the ground suddenly reaching for the aforementioned dog. The dog then became confused and fearing for the safety of the officer, actually swam toward him to prevent Officer Farris from attempting the dangerous, "four paw full body extension" dive into the water. This maneuver has yet to be mastered by humans.

It is then alleged, that Officer Farris without asking nor having been given permission to do so, removed the dog from the lake causing him to become confused and disoriented. At this point Officer Farris was joined by several humans all dressed like him in an obvious attempt to prevent an accurate identification in a line-up.

Following the requested extraction from the lake, the dog was then fitted with a collar attached to a tether and paraded along Lake Shore Dr. for the amusement of on-lookers and several people with cameras.

As this has now gone viral and the world has seen the dogs humiliation, damages are being sought in the amount of the following:

1. Unrestricted lavatory use, of all fire hydrants and trees within the city limits.

2. Congugal visiting privileges3 while awaiting to be claimed by owner.

3. Lifetime supply of Milk Bone Dog Biscuits.

4. Royalty payments for all the hits the video of this incident has garnered on the internet.

5. A reality show of his own and/or a late night talk show.

6. An apology from Officer Farris, the Mayor, all the top echelon of the CPD and the FOP.

What exactly is positive about this story. It's not like he saved a child or a person in distress. He risked injury or worse to save some stupid, mangy animal. I can't believe all the soft, liberal animal lovers here who think that this was a rational act.

I'm guessing you aren't a dog person, just a dick. You couldn't resist the urge to stroke yourself while simultaneously putting down another copper. Dogs are more capable of loving people than people are. When your spouse undoubtedly leaves you out of necessity due to you being a miserable puddle of shit, maybe you should get a dog and see. I have no sympathy for people or shitheads that do bad things because they know better. If you can honestly look at a dog that's been shot in the face and left in the alley or in this case let a dog drown and not feel anything at all, you're just as much a low life as the people you lock up.
