So what brainiac(s) in 012 made entrance into a residence, observed a sealed room, found respirators among grinding/sifting equipment, discovered a suspicious powder all over the place.....and then had the bright idea to transport the entire lab to the 012 District to inventory it?
After a belated call to the Chicago Fire Department (which probably should have been STEP 1), a Level One Haz-Mat Incident declared for the relocated "clandestine lab," an evacuation and shut down of an entire District station, we imagine some refresher training is in order.

1. An airplane needs which of the following to fly:
A) Soda pop
B) Cotton Candy
C) Aviation jet fuel
D) They are powered by Unicorns and need nothing to fly.
2. When a pilot is getting ready to fly he should:
A) Pray for good weather and close his eyes if he suspects bad weather
B) Check the weather with the tower and call Tom Skilling
C) Call Major Tom and ask for Clearance
D) Make sure he has clean underwear on
So those are a few examples of PT 1. PT 2 will be like this:
You are acting as a commercial pilot, but are not operating under the regulations of 14 CFR part 119. Which of
these operations are you authorized to conduct?
A) On-demand, passenger carrying flights of nine persons or less.
B) Aerial application and aerial photography.
C) On-demand cargo flights.
Merits only have to pass PT 1 and they will go before the board and will be flying the next day with a Gold Star. I guess they figured it works for CPD so why not with airline pilots.

In 008 today black "chidruns" were running wild around 5200 blocks Kildare beating people taking their belongings, maybe soon we will find these pos laying everywhere dead so we can scoop up the garbage and dispose of them! Well, the extent of training we’ve had was some two-part video we all had to watch on e-learning, so it isn’t surprising that coppers wouldn’t handle this scenario properly.
An e-learning video is not sufficient training anywhere in the world, except for the CPD.

At least it wasnt a bomb lab. Years ago some genius left a homemade grenade in the side door bucket , went home and forgot it was there. later he called the station to tell them dont use the car, there may be a live grenade in the door !
But you know what, In the end there will be no punishment and no consequences for anyone involved in this fiasco. This had the real possibility of costing people their lives.
Would not doubt this call was made by a merit SGT or Lt. Swat should have been notified and their clan lab team would have responded. Evidence would have been properly handled, a search warrant would have been prepared if necessary and countless numbers of CPD personnel would not have been exposed.
But definitely keep weighting applicants to discouraged veterans and their "hired killer" mindframe. God forbid a CBRN (chemical biological radiological and nuclear defense specialist) vet was on the Force.
