Another Bright Dem Idea
- St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson (D) is reacting to the rising crime in her city by offering to give people groceries in exchange for their firearms.
She will do this via the kind of buyback program that Democrats in other cities have unsuccessfully implemented around the country.
Why give up a gun when you can stick up someone for their groceries? And kill them if they resist?

That is 65% clearance rate! Not 12% like Chicago.
Maybe the CPD should hire the chief of Deceives in St.Louis. If they charged that many with the murders. If Chicago clearance rate was used in the ST. Louis murders there would have been about 23 charged instead of the 100+. Somehow they get the job done with the same big city "community hating police" problem that plagues Chicago. They are doing something right.

Great point, I'm not going to brow beat the Detectives for not doing a proper investigation, but I'll let 65% vs 12% speak for itself.
Food for guns, WTF, like that's going to work when they receive thousands of dollar worth of food stamps. She almost sounds like our Mayor and the rest of the Aldermen.
At last, the key to crime prevention - broccoli.
Better to teach marksmanship in elementary school. If these chaps could shoot straighter when negotiating who gets to sell drugs on which playground, there might be less collateral damage and more dead punks.

The groceries will work. A lot of the guns that get turned in come from Grandma who found it in the sock drawer after her husband passed away. The gun is dusty, but not rusty, and never hurt a fly in the forty years he had it.

What a terrific idea! Kinda like money laundering, except it's for illegally possessed guns. If the thugs capped someone lately, it's just like Holder's fast and furious gun buy back program. These guns get turned over to the feds, then back they go over the border to the drug cartel that the Obamination\Holder never did anything about. This way nobody gets caught with a weapon used in a crime. Seriously folks, St. Louis is already fucked up, almost as bad as Chicago, except their mayor isn't retarded (or is he?)...this can only turn out badly.
And we think Chicago politicians are morons.
