Camera Roll Out Done?
- Every Chicago Police patrol officer is now outfitted with a body camera.
More than 7,000 district-assigned officers, tactical officers and supervisors are equipped with body cameras, making Chicago the largest deployment of body cameras in the nation.
“In addition to protecting the rights of the people that we serve, these devices help us take a look at what we’re doing right and where we can improve,” Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said at a news conference Sunday at the Grand Central District station.
How about the Units? There are a few major scandals costing the taxpayers tens of millions of dollars that involve clouted phone call people. Shouldn't the new Targeted Strike Force or whatever they're calling SOS Junior have body cameras when they roll out?
What about the D-unit? Aren't there a few lawsuits wending their way through various courtrooms that involve detectives? Shouldn't they be on body cameras along with the taped interrogations to present a seamless investigation to the State?
What about Source of All Evil? Our readers have pointed out over 240 persons didn't swipe even once during the HQ roll out. Is there no accountability from our "leadership" and their minions?
Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?

Society should be more concerned with judge Hooks and his shanigans rather than a low level fetal cops day to day business.
My side is hurting from all the BS they are slinging from there propaganda / office of communications. Everything is good.
Another bullshit story. The PPOs, who are not yet assigned to a district, don't have body cameras.
Body cameras for the city council and the mayor but they need them 24/7
How about units like the Marine Unit or swat?
I don't care if HQ swipes in or out.
I want to know what all the HQ people are doing.
How many people are assigned to HQ?
What are they doing?
Where are the investigative reporters?
Mike Royko would be all over this.
Do ya,see it yet?
It used to be that all cops were among the Only Ones" elite, but now the lower rungs are being cast aside, tossed under the bus, where the lowly peons were for the last half a century.
It was all good then, wasnt it, ignoring our rights, heck even violating them with impunity, going so far as to arrest and haul people to jail for daring to exercise a enumerated right. Yes, guns.
Face this truth as it is now being turned on YOU and DO something about it while your numbers still afford you the ability to do so.
If you dont, and soon, enough of you will be under the bus that those left wont do a thing to help you out. You will be feeling what we the people have been feeling for decades, and it will be too late.
Act with Haste oh men and women in blue.
We warned and hollered that next it'd be You
Its not yet too late to stop the crimes
but there is only left a couple of chimes.
The cameras are where they are supposed to be. Though I'm now assigned to a district but recently detailed out I can assure you that cameras are not appropriate in other assignments where personnel are detailed such as the DEA, DHS/HSI, and the vaunted JTTF where I was once assigned. The work performed in those assignments is of a nature that is so complex and sensitive that the cameras would be a hindrance rather than a asset. However in public facing assignments these devices are worth their weight in gold. Since their initial rollout I have noticed that interactions between PO's and civilians have struck a different tenor as our guys/gals have learned to stay above the fray when dealing with the minority of belligerent folks who drive violent crime in my district of assignment. When I saw a young PO immediately advise an arrestee of his Miranda warnings while wearing the camera and refer to that individually respectfully as "Sir" I was overcomed with joy as our department is joining the future and leading the way for other agencies in Illinois. We are setting an example.
I have been selected to serve as part of a United Nations Formed Police Unit (FPU) that will be serving abroad. I look forward to representing the City of Chicago, my fellow Sergeants, our CPD leadership and the citizens of our great city. As I sit here in a training course with other policing professionals from throughout the world I stand proudly as a CPD law enforcement professional. We have a tough job that is always evolving and requires constant commitment and sacrifice. I will be delivering a White Paper before our class on the initial rollout of cameras in selected districts and our CAPS initiatives. Trust me people around the world are hungry for knowledge about the CPD and its responses to the challenges we face. To our citizens, my fellow department members and our leadership I stand proud to wear the chevrons of a CPD Sergeant as I stand with other law enforcement peers in a foreign training center prepared to engage in a United Nations assignment. Much love to the working coppers who protect our city. When it comes to change I have prepared to qualify with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in order to take on this new assignment. I'm not crazy about it but we must be flexible, adaptive and become agents of change.

The new norm with the State's Attorney's office is that if it is not on camera, it didn't happen. So yea! In that case, everyone needs a body camera.
"Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?"
please add "thrown under the bus" also
Start with all the uniformed white shirts.
Want to increase revenue?
Make the Special Ed body cam its own pay per view channel.
Make Rahm's Protective detail another pay per view body cam channel.
You know the answer SCC.
It’s simply the grunts being scrutinized and nit picked .... not to mention being served up as sacrificial lambs.
If it’s truly about accountability then everyone, all CPD, all politicians, all city workers, should wear them while in the performance of their duties.
Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?
Does the number 7,000 frighten anyone paying taxes in this Savage City the icky twerp Murder Mayor oversees? Are we really safe and secure with no credible urban threats?
No gun teams no Holman sq no gang teams why not ?
What about the Mayor's protective detail? Why is the King's Guard exempt? What about the multiple officers guarding his house,24/7/365?
What did you expect, you have been around long enough to know it's the privet not the sergeant or lieutenant that gets thrown under the bus.
01:21am on 13 DEC - To our conceited Sergeant joining the UN FPU : How many other elite Sergeants are joining this traveling circus? Your body cam cheerleading is merely a thank you to the gold badge clowns who are permitting your sojourn when you should remain in Chicago and help solve it's myriad of crime problems. Prior to your departure, you should be given a mandatory 24/7 camera which will document your endless efforts fight crime in Lower Slobovia. Hopefully you also speak whatever foreign language is used in Lower Slobovia so we don't need to detail an interpreter.

Most of the 240 non swipers are people working in the field not at the building
Again, whatever........
The car cam, the body cam, gps......whatever.
I’ll even gladly wear the ass cam, because in the end, all any of these cams are in my world are “health insurance cams”.
Had a great chalk talk with the recruits last night. Each and every one now fully understands and appreciates what they need to do to survive and make this job work for them.
Always glad to help, Rahm!
What about superninteno special Ed? Is he going to wear a body camera ??
Will the dishonest liberal media even ask that question??
The democrat controlled state legislature were so concerned " minorities" (realistically criminals but minorities is more inclusive suggesting law abiding people) were treated unfairly by police, body cameras were codified into law. In the meantime, lots of murders, carjackings, shooting victims, strong armed robbies etc. are committed in epidemic proportions by those identified who have the most uncomfortable interactions with police. The premise for the cameras is police mistreat the all inclusive minorities. Who mistreats minorities? The police or the thugs commiting violent robberies , murders, mob beatings on the public way, shootings, vehicular invasions or wildings?

Spoken like a true merit hack
COPA is signing complaints against officers after watching body camera videos. This is in total disregard of the general order that states officers cannot be punished for minor infractions after reviewing video footage. But copa is doing just that. Officers have been called down for swearing and their supervisors called down to be questioned on why they didn't discipline officer for swearing. Copa is Monday morning quarterbacking the hell out of these videos. If a scene is chaotic, copa still expects you to see all and hear all or else they accuse you of not rendering aid or inattention to duty. It's a dangerous game they are playing to get their numbers. Just be careful, they are literally looking at the smallest violations to sustain a CR while telling the media they are not Monday morning quarterbacking the police. FOP needs to step up on this
Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?
--------
Um, yes.
The Marine Unit had them but they got wet.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
What I want for Christmas is to be politically connected so that I too can get promoted like all the merit scum. What’s the use of studying hard if I can do it the easy way - don’t need to know nothing- can be as dumb as a box of rocks (as Sgt Janashley)- and wait my turn to become a LT or exempt
Then reality kicked in the BALLS and I woke up in pain,
Too damn bad the family was inconvenienced in effort to thwart other possible acts of destruction of innocent human life. What a price to pay in their "new home" country to possible avert slaughter of some of their fellow citizens. Hopefully information was derived to keep humanity safe from homicidal terrorist networks.
The real story is the brave men and women of law enforcement and the United States Military who go the extra mile to keep us safe. They risk their lives in untold ways so our American way of life can be enjoyed by so many. Inconvience to the family is just that an inconvience when their own family member could have mamed and murdered countless innocent people in the name of a religion of so called peace. And in the name of a J.V. terrorist team who a former president deceived the American people by saying this terror organization was vanquished. Maybe this amateur terrorist from Bangladesh was inspired to commit acts of destruction citing similar reasoning of outrage from a video much like that of the September 11th anniversary Benghazi attack.
Americans can encourage the nation's peacekeepers with something as simple as kind words letting them know they are appreciated despite the onslaught from the garbage press that seems to the regularly take the side of criminals, terrorists and their associates.
So at police headquarters 240 people do not swipe in and out? Everyone in our department knows that if you are an insidider, then you can STEAL as much as you want.
Yes, that is called STEALING, THEFT, FRAUD. The citizens are expecting you to work a full shift. Not 3 to 6 hours.
Could you imagine if HQ dollies had cameras?
How many hours of YAHOO new would be captured?
How many Rep does special Ed do with pink barbells while getting paid?
How many lap top have porn hub while streaming at work?
How many new squad cars are given to people who should be in an office processing checks?
How many white shirts actually know how to generate a report?
Who cares, just answer your calls nothing more.
Desk personal in 12 were told they will not be outfitted for cameras. Some of these ladies on all 3 watches could use a lesson in how to treat people. That inculdes the civilians.
What about the airport?
Vote YES: potty cam for Rahm and Rat Pack
To: Does the number 7,000 frighten anyone paying taxes in this Savage City the icky twerp Murder Mayor oversees?
That's 7k in patrol districts not the Area teams or the rest of the manpower. Relax.

All of the above.
Mr jttf, I hope that you are kidding. There are 3,440 people who have been shot in Chicago this year alone who would beg to differ but, many of them are dead. Patrol has been rendered almost totally ineffective by these Napervilleesq policies. The criminals run the streets armed, without fear, and inflict their will on the law abiding. Maybe when you are with the un you should wear a bwc to prevent atrocities during "peace keeping missions ".
I never got a camera!!
I want to get on the tact team.
It's a joke how much will it cost to store the the tapes and for how long the question has never been answer
What about the PO that his only job is to "workout" with the superintendent between 1400/1900 at HQ and DO NOT forget the superintendent's personal "assistant" CD,who comes and goes as she pleases,HEY CD....Better get someone else to pick up your kids from school during "duty hours"....someone is "recording"

They are getting them. The city rolled out the districts a full year earlier than originally planned. Gang say gun teams etc will have them. Homan will have them if for nothing worse when they do warrants or for enforecement units.
“In addition to protecting the rights of the people that we serve, these devices help us take a look at what we’re doing right and where we can improve,”
No mention on protecting the officer from frivolous lawsuits? No mention that if John Q. Public is caught in a lie that he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law?
Doubtful.
We already have seen the liberal lawyers crying foul on the fact that an officer can view the video of his/her arrest to assist them in writing up the paper work. For some reason they think its an unfair advantage.
How many inside cowards that were assigned to street duty in 2012 by 9.5 to fulfill promise of adding 1,000 new police officers to patrol are back inside doing nothing ?
Fuck you forgot Tiny Dancer. He should be wearing a camera, I mean who knows what he'd do.
Who will maintain all the video from the 7000 cameras? Did someone say "The Vanecko Company"?
SCC,thanks for publishing the 2 lengthy posts, one of which was obviously from someone who is a police-hater/whiner. I will be checking back later to read the backlash comments on them, should be hilarious.
Just wait until the sat, gang, and other non-camera teams get involved in something the media deems "questionable" The mayor will be under fire again. The truth is 1000's of cops still don't have cameras

The last six shooter on the south-side.???????? Who is this clown?!?!?!?
FYI but before getting anything charged these days most things the detectives are doing is on camera. Now we put the majority of witness interviews and offender interviews on camera at the area. It’s called the ERI system and the state wants them on video most of the time anyways. Been like this for years. We were doing the camera thing before the camera thing was a thing. Catch up...
For all those who were late to work bcause of the early morning work of urban snipers on the Dan Ryan interstate expressway, please take note this gangland shooting did not occur according to the Cook County States Attorneys Office. The new objective standard is that a crime is not committed unless it is captured on an officers body worn camera or in car camera surveillance system and accused participants in the criminal justice system give a full confession after first swearing to tell the truth on their grandmama's grave.
Welcome to Chicago where commuters are encouraged to don surplus kevlar battle helmets and wear ceramic plated flak jackets to and from the workplace. Chicago's very own Al Capone style drive by crew of days gone by don't hold a candle to the modern day thug parasites lighting up our corners and x-ways. The new urban experience. It reeks of progressivism and social justicisms.
Cameras are 100% coming to all area sat, gun and gang teams. OCD is still heavy enough to make their own rules, so cameras will not be rolling out to them anytime soon. Although today's OCD is just as paranoid and fetal as the rest of the Dept so don't think there is more work being done there than anywhere else in the Dept. Its not like they don't need cameras because it would hinder their performance. Smoke and mirrors kids, smoke and mirrors.
SCC, your losing a step. 7000 members IN PATROL. That should have set off some red flags!!!! Ok, thats not Sgts, Lts, just Po's. When I left this job in 2010, there was around 9700 in Patrol, this I know for a fact. 2700 short in Patrol. Divide that by 23 district, that like 117 guys a district. This is what should be investigated!!!
Old Retired Guy
If the Detectives would be required to wear camera's, they would then be able to show to the entire Department how effective the D-Unit is, and the world would then say, Chicago Detectives are the best of the best. Or not.........
Now if a Detective starts yelling at me, I'll have he/she on tape. Oh, if I'm in the area, I will demand a supervisor put in writing, that I have to turn off my camera if requested.

Wow. What a self-congratulating load of crap that was.
Next ACLU lawsuit..
There will be a FOIA done on someone wearing a camera, a lowly nitpicked under the bus beat cop of course, regarding a domestic violence call for service. That footage will be released and there will be a home invasion done and burglary committed, the footage providing perfect knowledge of belingings and whereabouts, the complete layour of the home and or business provided by that footage.
ACLU will claim the robbery was BECAUSE of the footage. All FOIA of any footage will thrn go on lockdown and there will be legislation called for to solve a problem identified. This will be then a claim used by Rham and Co about why the Mcdonald footage was hidden. It will be claimed that as part of the DV call for service leguslation, there needs to be clear rules set forth about who gets access to what footage when. You know, what SHOULD be settled ALREADY.
Worse, a rape or murder will be plotted in this way. And the Rahm goons will say they never thought of this possibility...bet on it. Its coming. The ACLU will do anything to stop what they thought it could whine about but never dream would actually happen. They cant be having cops shown to NOT be the bad guys and thats exactly what these cameras will and are showing.
Rahm’s large contingent of bodyguards/butters should absolutely be wearing body cameras.
I thought it was all about transparency, accountability and building trust .... right Rahm?
Cameras for the alderpunks when they deal with their campaign contributors. ♠️
Who has the contract for storing all of these video recordings? That's an enormous amount of data and is also a well paid contract.
The Mayors Bodyguard Detail is going to get body cams but have to wear them on their ankles to capture images of that slithering Golum like Snake Bastard.
The most honest, trustworthy Officers are outfitted with cameras so those that aren't honest and trustworthy, can keep an eye on them while they make their evil schemes to keep criminals out of jail and citizens in the dark.

Third, you seem to have the larger picture of officer safety and quality policing clearly in focus.
Quite refreshing.
Please keep up the good work.

If you repeat this performance, this magnificent display of sarcastic absurdity, ever again, know that you will be responsible for effecting premature incontinence upon those most vulnerable, namely, those who can see you, appreciate your wicked talent for simultaneous subtlety and obviousness, and failed to take a piss before reading.

The last six shooter on the south-side.???????? Who is this clown?!?!?!?

Apparently he’s a legend in his own mind and he doesn’t let facts get in the way.
22 districts 13,21,23 closed
What about Source of All Evil?
Our readers have pointed out over 240 persons didn't swipe even once during the HQ roll out. Is there no accountability from our "leadership" and their minions?
Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?

Whooooooo...
You GREATLY understated that fact, Jack!
Reading that post was the intellectual equivalent
of "Adult Baby" being applauded for finally properly
using the potty-chair...
"GAAHH! Stop "doodling" on the bathroom walls, you!"
>SLAP!<
What about the Mayor's protective detail? Why is the King's Guard exempt? What about the multiple officers guarding his house,24/7/365?
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I can't speak for Rahms actual detail units who are paid at sgts pay but I can assure you the 3 po's which are assigned to the house that are assigned to 019 ALL have body cameras

Now if a Detective starts yelling at me, I'll have he/she on tape. Oh, if I'm in the area, I will demand a supervisor put in writing, that I have to turn off my camera if requested.
12/13/2017 10:28:00 AM
you're gonna "demand a supervisor put in writing, that I have to turn off my camera if requested"???
lol!
Dear Sgt "last six shooter on the south side",
I don't know where to begin.
Obviously you have benefited from clout on many occasions in the past and continue to get special perks. You might even think that it's all deserved because you're such a great cop but it's not it's just clout. I think you know what you can do with that white paper.
CAPS initiatives!? When I read that I thought maybe you were joking. You were joking right?
And, I wouldn't go around bragging about being "the last six shooter" for two reasons. #1 you're not, and #2 it only demonstrates how clueless you are. Usually guys with wheelguns are just cheapskates that would rather spend their money on something else and they don't understand what a disadvantage a revolver is today. "I'm not buying another gun I only have 8 years to go." "I don't need a semi, this one's good enough." It was barely good enough in the '90s. Today it's a sign that you are out of touch with the realities of policing.
Please, please stop posting. Enjoy your spot and STFU.

Is the mayor detail officers outfitted with cameras?
12/13/2017 08:21:00 AM
Just the 019 Dist people who sit at the house. Makes sense to have 8 hrs of dashboard and Ford logo video. That d/c and XO in 019 are complete morons.
The UN goof is probably the same one that wears his CAPS Medals and loves CALEA and Jody Weis.

If the detectives wore cameras they could record you sitting your ass in the car instead of standing out on your feet and actually guarding a crime scene, or better yet calling the Area with nonsense notifications, or calling the Area with “We arrested this guy now what do we do?”
Why don’t you “demand” your supervisor actually read the order on notifications instead of having no cojones to make a decision themselves. It’s always get someone’s name and star blah blah blah.
It’s all about the storage..... follow the money.
Do you have to wear these cameras working the desk ?
You hired a friend to run DOA police/security paid him well over the pay rate and gave him an extra $50,000 bonus a year must be nice taking taxpayers money huh ginger?
12/13/2017 12:32:00 PM
Who is the friend?
The most honest, trustworthy Officers are outfitted with cameras so those that aren't honest and trustworthy, can keep an eye on them while they make their evil schemes to keep criminals out of jail and citizens in the dark.

Somebody is gonna retire in style after selling bookoo terabits of video to the new streaming .....ChiTown: Down & Bloody.... internet sensation.....especially with it's companion show..... Chicago: Bat Shit Crazy As Fuck ...........
Im dont doin sh!t until VRI comes back
So 7000 with 20% off on any given day that leaves 5600, at least 10% inside. So you have approx. 5100 officers divided by 3 shifts so 1700 officers divided by 24 district if your including 050 per shift, and I would venture to say a lot lower then that. Seems safe to me.

How many inside cowards that were assigned to street duty in 2012 by 9.5 to fulfill promise of adding 1,000 new police officers to patrol are back inside doing nothing ?

All of them plus at least 500 more

Imust be this guy:
https://chicago.suntimes.com/chicago-politics/city-picks-new-security-chief-for-ohare-and-midway/
Andrew Velasquez III replaces Jeffrey Redding, who was fired from his $118,020-a-year job for failing to fully disclose the sexual harassment allegations that prompted the Illinois Tollway to get rid of him.
As managing deputy for safety and security, Velasquez will be paid an annual salary of $175,000. That’s more than $56,000 higher than Redding’s salary as deputy commissioner.
Why Cant Politicians wear cameras 24/7 That would end some careers
How about the House mice at the academy too We'd learn their true hours and the war stories they tell
How about the CPD Command and Staff
How about gun and gang teams????????????? Let’s protect he rights of the citizens they serve. What about detectives also. Can I get an Amen.
12/13/2017 12:36:00 PM
Then no one would work!

Really--Sounds like UN Agenda 21 crap----read below what UN wanted during Ferguson.
However, local police and their independence from federal control are both under threat from the Obama administration and the UN itself.
Both are pushing, loudly and openly, to nationalize and globalize American police forces, as this magazine has documented extensively.
In 2014, amid the riots and looting and Ferguson, UN boss Ban even demanded, openly in a press release, that local police in Missouri observe what he called “international standards.” American police officers have also been training with the UN for years, for reasons that have not been made clear — even as the UN continues to viciously denounce and demonize American police.

Think "the last 6 shooter on the south side" has 5 empty champers.... 2 knee pads and 1 lip balm. This city is beyond doomed
OCD needs cameras.

To: Hey Moron...the officers at the mayors house DO wear the cameras....get your facts str8 before you blow off your mouth!
Hey idiot know it all... the officers at the mayors house are not assigned to the mayor’s detail. They are assigned to the district. The mayor doesn’t travel or interact with the car that babysits his house.
Does OCD have GPS? what about the D unit?
What cars / PDT's have the GPS in them?
Outside of SOS, who were the first to get GPS? --- Patrol
Who gets shit on? --- Patrol
Who (for the most part) does 8 for 8? --- Patrol
Are we figuring it out yet? Patrol is the bottom of the barrel. It sucks.
I've been to busy districts, I've been in Units. I'll take a Unit any day. Patrol SUCKS!
Now if a Detective starts yelling at me, I'll have he/she on tape. Oh, if I'm in the area, I will demand a supervisor put in writing, that I have to turn off my camera if requested.

You'll demand a supervisor put it in writing? Well, you're in luck, snowflake. It's already in writing, in the order. Read it before making stupid comments, and especially before "demanding" things from a supervisor. The cameras aren't for recording your interactions with detectives at the area.
"Or is it just the grunts being monitored and judged and nitpicked?"

Remember,it's for your safety,Officer. We won't use it punitively.

Ok,snowflake.
To 12/13/2017 01:21:00 AM
Oh cameras are still there while you are detail to the Feds. The only difference is you are not wearing one, you have one over your head probably about every 15 feet watching you.
" The cameras aren't for recording your interactions with detectives at the area."
We Citizens say "Oh yes they are!" And WE are the boss, so suck it up DIC. Smile, you're on candid camera...and we don't care if you don't like it.
Your not the last 6 shooter numbnuts, and the rest of sgt’s with time in grade like 17 years plus would like to see that message where they were taking applications, or did you just kiss the right ass. And if your confused time in grade is how long have you been a 9171, if your wondering time on job then it’s 28 years, never an inside spot and never a soft district. If that’s a true post then a hefty gfy to you and you clout.
$6 million a month to download and store all the audio and video..................not for the first year, city got the cameras free with free one year data storage, the next part is from AXON's website.
"There is too much at stake for these trends to continue, or for outdated procurement processes to get in the way of rigorous field testing. That’s why we’re offering agencies nationwide a free one-year trial of our cameras, software and training. The details of this promotion are available here and the FAQs are below. The offer includes:
One Axon Body 2 per officer
One Evidence.com Unlimited Pro license for one year per officer
Two mounts per officer
Docks for the station
Camera deployment support
Unlimited access to Axon Academy, our e-learning system
Two free passes per agency to our Axon Accelerate conference"

Correct, Correct........
Think this is blown out of proportion. One goofy detective acts like a fool, that’s it. In my many years on CPD I have never seen it happen. For the most part the beat guys and the detectives get along fine and compliment each other
Wait until the City fails to pay the cloud storage fees to Axon. What videos?
The only thing transparent in this city is the ink in the pen that this city uses to sign contracts with.
How are there 7000 district officers even if every district had 300 officers that would only be 6600 but not every district has that many and the officers detailed out don’t get them so where is that number coming from
did the tactical lt that made $150,000 in OT have GPS in his take home car , cell phones have trackers , check his city and personal cell phone
A&R security could get charges approved on that scam artist
did he get dumped from tact lt no,no
promoted to command staff
reason to save OT
D unit has GPS since day one. Trust me I caught a beef off the location of my car. Guess what... turned out it was a Beat car that was using a pool that day that was actually the culprit.
That UN Sgt is past the koolaid, he was bent over and had a chip put in through his ass.
Six-shooter is a troll.
"I have been selected to serve as part of a United Nations Formed Police Unit (FPU) that will be serving abroad. I look forward to representing the City of Chicago, "

Bet you can't wait for that yummy pedo action the UN has become famous for.

A) Why did you capitalize Beat car?
B) Why would a "B"eat car use an unmarked "D" unit pool car?
C) How hard do people laugh AT you when you start telling stories at the bar?
D) Did you buy a shoulder holster before or after your first day in det school?
E) I hope your family appreciates all the money from you "spinning the clock" but not knowing who you actually are...

Sorry, Citizen. You don't write the orders. You don't make the rules. The body cameras are for very specific interactions, not for you to see what goes on inside the areas or the other stations. If you want to be my boss, you need to be on the job and of a higher rank than me. Citizens aren't the boss of the police. They are more like customers, asking and demanding what they think they're entitled to, but often being completely wrong. All of you "I pay your salary" and "you work for me" types need a lesson in how it all actually works. The good citizens understand how it works, and they don't say stupid things like that. I pay taxes too. Guess that makes me my own boss according to your understanding. Keep holding your protest signs and chanting nonsense in a crowd of morons. Maybe you'll get what you want someday. Hold your breath.
"I have been selected to serve as part of a United Nations Formed Police Unit (FPU) that will be serving abroad. I look forward to representing the City of Chicago, my fellow Sergeants, our CPD leadership and the citizens of our great city."
I seriously hope if there was ever any real widespread civil unrest in the city or burbs...that you keep your blue helmeted a$$ out of my neighborhood...for YOUR own good.
Lockup Keepers, SWAT, and Desk Crew should be next. Closed Circuit Video for all District Desk areas.
The Mayor, Aldermen, and Police Supt. Should all wear body cameras on duty, to set an example and to cut down on crime in Chicago

You sound like a mental midget. First think thru the problem. Beat car was on a scene with a pool car that did not have GPS. Only the D unit squad had a GPS unit. So the Beat car never existed on scene according to OPS. Next, they do not give pool cars to the D unit. Thankfully the complainant was able to narrow down that the tough guy that cracked him was wearing a uniform. Thank you for putting me in the middle of that stupidity. Only tough guys with a suicidal tendency wear shoulder holsters cause they are so cool. Have not seen many Detectives with them. You sound like you know all about the D unit. Now go sit in the corner of the bar you like to visit and give yourself a hand job.
Do you have to wear these cameras working the desk ?
12/13/2017 06:47:00 PM
They should, especially the desk dollies with the bad attitudes. They treat people seeking help at the station desk as if all people are total a-holes.
Woah. Only 7K cops in the 3rd largest city in the nation with a staggering unsolved homicide rate. That's the real story.
treat people seeking help at the station desk as if all people are total a-holes.
12/15/2017 12:29:0
And some treat the police the same way, even their own district guys , but worse to the guys in units

They did one time in a south side district. Was all over TV. 4 or 5 sitting at the desk finally an old time guy came over and tried to help. Nothing happened
