Off Duty Shooting
Cop is fine, no gunshot wounds showing up at area hospitals:
- An off-duty officer returned gunfire to a group of people early Sunday in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to police.
About 3:10 a.m., the officer was approached by multiple people shouting gang slogans in the 5200 block of South Fairfield Avenue, Chicago Police said.
They fired shots at the officer, who then returned fire, police said. The officer wasn’t hit by gunfire, and it was not known if anyone from the group was shot.

The violence that plagues the city is because of Rahm cutting the police force and makes our friends, families and neighbors Victims. I told everyone I know anyone but Rahm. It's time to move.
Not a real good part of town to be in when off duty.
Ambulances shot up, on duty Sgt in crossfire while other vehicles shooting at each other and off duty shot at by roving gang members. It's all part of the plan to get Shit-cago on a fiscal level ground. The Mayor and Special Ed have it all under control. Keep investing in Chicago. Is Shit-cago Still part of United States of America. I know Rahm and his Gold Stars don't like to follow federal law. They only want it applied to Police Officers who get accused of anything.
This whole weekend is out of control, and the reason that it is is because of Rahm sitting on a tape and painting everyone in CPD with a bad name. Sorry, but he's had 7 years to right wrongs, and all he's done is make them worse.
I though Chicago has strict gun control and anti-gun laws. How can this be happening?
With any luck the offender was struck, slithered off to some abandoned garage or building, and succumbed to his wound(s) while waiting for the heat to die down.
Hopefully decomposition from this weeks predicted heat will be the only reason his worthless carcass gets discovered.

Research knowledge is no substitute for experience wisdom.
.38 spcl, even without the glorious +P, or, (be still my beating heart), .357 mag rated, is the choice. Even without the admirable quality of revolver reliabilty, (in many aspects).
As for projectile selection.....well......how final do ya want the result to be?
