I worked in Major Accidents when Commander Hanna was a Sergeant. She was fair and went out of her way for everyone (White, Black, male and female)! She always had a kind word and genuinely cared if an officer was encountering a problem. There are a lot of arrogant bosses on this job, however she is NOT one of them.

I came through the military where leaders led and did so by example.

This is a direct reflection on the upper echelon command staff. You cannot cease to be a boss even at that level. You expect that your upper managers would also lead by example When they do not it is their job to correct the behavior. They fail when they do not. Thus, they have failed!

When I joined this department in 1996 I was told and certainly thought it was a very professional department and looked up to nationwide. I have since learned that we are looked down upon nationwide. We are a joke and it starts at the top. Most of our command staff is clueless, unprofessional and are in the position because of race or who they know. Certainly isn't because of what they know. Most officers are lazy fucks (although in this day and age it is understandable) that got on this job to sleep and just get paid. Wouldn't know an arrest report if it bit them in the ass. No meetings are ever started on time, no uniform is the same and barely any command. so embarrassing.
Like the poster in every district states "Given, not Earned!"

25 years later....short nails if painted they are neutral color, hair off collar neatly conforming to uniform standards, no nose piercing, no earrings, no excessive jewelry, yet I see men and women walking around out of uniform ( including bosses) and no one does a thing about it. There is a uniform standard. You can express your personality off duty. Is starts with the basic things. Rules are ignored.

25 years ago on a hot summer day I showed up in Gun Court wearing a Hawaiian shirt, shorts and sandals. It was RDO, I almost forgot about the court date and didn't have time to run home and change into more appropriate attire.

Judge and court didn't care. The Deputy that confronted me in the hall afterward did. Somewhat. Sent a infraction report to my district.
Sgt and WC called me in to the office. They read the report and were totally flummoxed. They just looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and told me "Dress Right next time." And get out of the office.

FOP must demand all uniform , grooming standard violations are removed from all records immediately .

Change the rules for all of CPD. Not just her and her staff .
