Robber With Gun Shot
- Chicago police shot and injured a man who they say fired at a woman who tried to stop a robbery on Wednesday afternoon on the West Side.
The woman was in a vehicle when she saw the man try to rob someone she knew in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood around 3 p.m., according to Chief of Patrol Fred Waller. At some point, the man fired at her, hitting the vehicle several times, Waller said.
The woman flagged down police officers, who were already in the area, police said. The officers chased the man for several blocks ending in the 600 block of North Central Park Avenue, where they had an “armed confrontation” with him, Waller said. He did not offer specifics of the confrontation. The officers fired one shot at the man, hitting him in the abdomen.
One officer went to the hospital as a precaution, but that didn't stop Special Ed from stripping him in the ambulance, along with a citizen who happened to be passing through the hood and Waller by accident. After a prolonged discussion, Waller got his gun and star back.
An excellent job Officers - that's a compliment you won't be hearing much from the brass or public in upcoming days.

P.Os than the violent, mind-locked, ignorant

That comes out to approximately $1,304.00 a month. Not worth it and not very Nobel either.
30 days on the desk lawsuit happy holidays!
Chase? Thought they didn't want anybody chasing no more.
Did Special Ed strip the paramedics also?
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
Hey SCC,
Even with this shooting, the CPD has only managed to tie the numbers the self-defense community has tallied so far this year. CPD - 3 killed, 11 wounded vs SD - 3 killed, 11 wounded. Each group now shares responsibility for 1.2% of total homicides and 0.8% of total people shot.

WGN's Marcella whats her name, kept saying that the suspect was shot by police, even though he didn't fire his gun.
A reporter asked Waller on tv what was the need for the police to shoot this man
Why are you doing any type of police work. When are these kids gonna learn don’t do anything!
Did I read that right? The superintendent stripped the Chief of Patrol of his gun and star. Tell me more.
In the disciplinary wisdom of community activist and COPA surrogate Special Ed has determined the confused community member (violent armed feral felon) had shot the woman’s vehicle, therefore responding with deadly force was acting of stupidity.
Keep trusting Special Ed and continue proactive policing.
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
In Ed We Trust.
so much for officers rights.....
This is what I don't understand, your a police officer involved in a justified shooting and you get stripped. It sounds like you are unable to carry and protect yourself. Wouldn't it be a good idea to get a Concealed Carry Permit just in case you are stripped for whatever reason. At least you can still carry a gun for protection.
A lot of the critics are tied up protesting the shooting at the Robbins bar right now.
Give them a little time to catch up and they’ll be squawking about this one too.... it’s what they do.
What are the odds of this thug gettting a less than $500 bond??
Keep welcoming illegal invaders democrats:

You’re a complete moron if you do any proactive police work. You’re guilty until proven innocent and if you’re found innocent they will parade you in the media until your life is ruined. Learn the hard way or the easy way.
Solid police work!!
Notice how the First Responder was once again a regular joe Citizen?
Dont get me wrong, MAD proos to great cops for doing GREAT policing...listening to the FIRST to Respond to criminality and tgen giving chase all the way to CAPTURE by FORCE of arms because that is what it took.
Kudos for one shot center mass. Thats the difference between doing a great job...instead of headed to trial and then prison. 15 more woulda changed a good job into a bad job.
This police work example here makes We The People proud of our cops!!!!
Remember this officers, now is the time to tell the fop we want 7% or higher raises for the added risk and a collapsing pension fund. we are in contract talks, we want more money.
That 7% won't cover the new tax hikes coming your way courtesy of your friendly Democratic Machine. Now in total control of both Tate and city. Hang on it will be a fun filled ride the next 4 years.
