So is there finally going to be an Area West again?
- Rumor is, many more Detectives being made to staff an Area to handle the west side again. And to relieve Area South of the burden. Mayor little foot is behind this.
Exempt and Supervisors are lining up for the highly favored assignments. Because Areas don't have biddable Supervisors. EVER! Lots of patronage spots to be given away here
And a possible twist?
- Civilian Director as a "experiment"?

For my money, area 4 and area 5 were always great to have. Bring them back, Lord knows we need them!
More patronage, incompetent leadership what could possibly go wrong? Face it the CPD is a swamp of 'its' own with no Trump to give a shit. Good luck until you can retire by then you will have used up all of your luck so heres wishing you a few good years after that.

7, 8, & 9 belong together, crime jumps the borders a lot.

Undoing the monumental mistakes made by McCarthy should be done and returning the Dets back to 4 geographic areas is a must. Screwing with 19/23 has to go down in the history of the Chicago Police Dept as the dumbest move ever. Return them to 2 separate districts for God’s sake and give the people paying some of the highest taxes their police back.

What the fuck are you trying to ask? Are you wondering if 018 has vacancies for sergeants? Are you looking to purchase a supervisor of undetermined rank at an auction? They really need to make these tests much harder.

Property crimes has a small office up there, 606 has the majority of the floor. The question is, where will 606 be moved to? Homan Square, an old district station? Fugitives can work out of the US Marshall's building, arson can hook up with OFI somewhere neutral. Financial and auto theft will have to find a new home. Same rumor that has been floating around for a couple of years. When it happens, it will be a last minute scramble that results in a huge clusterfuck!!!

The civilian “Director” has already been chosen and is one of her former US Attorney partners. That is a done deal. In addition, Homan Square is going to be reduced by half or more with the OT abusers getting launched back to district law enforcement to “humble them” (her words) and the political scholarships getting sent back to districts to show their sponsors that she is the Boss, not them. It is going to be very interesting while we await the old guard pols who wont take her disrespect for long before they flex their own political muscles and take back control.

The City is buying the White Castle at Roosevelt and Western. Not gonna demolish the building, just make a few cosmetic changes and WALLA! There's your Area West HQ.

012/013 is right behind you. The district is huuuge now. Property crime skyrocketed. #1 district in the city I believe. 013 residents really got the shaft, but oh well, happens when your a dumb democrat voting liberal.
