Because the voices in our heads have been demanding blood-tribute lately and we heard protestors are getting antsy since they haven't been able to blame the police for the thousands of other shootings and (nearly) five-hundred homicides this year.
Seriously though - what does it all mean? We assume we're still bound by previous Use of Force models, and since everyone has been taught under a system that doesn't exist for the moment, now what?

Lets also fix the test itself..(1) Its a scantron, multiple test fill in the answer box, there is NO reason you shouldn't know your score walking out the door! (2) Make 70% passing, like every other test...NOT this 40% bullshit, either you know what your doing or not. (3). Transparency, everyone's score needs to be posted so you know where you stand in the rankings, not guessing. (4) Everyone who did well on the last Sgt. test but got passed up (or screwed) should be at least be considered or offered a detective spot.
Lets do this Supt Beck, All Merits should retake the test and only those who actually pass the test get promoted...get rid of the useless ass licks that run this place into the ground. Those who fail can still make FTO.
It still means some merit hack gets to call the investigation of your use of force investigation.
And maybe your future career in CPD!
Just because they won does not mean FOP Can help with this merit crap ruling over you!

I am curious who the SMEs were for the upcoming Sgts.exam. Were any of them Merit? Did any of them release information regarding the test? The foundation of the test rests on the integrity of the process. Do they scrap the test, and start over? I have many more questions than answers.
Does this mean D2As and retirees get anchovy pizza after FLOP meetings?

Not to sure about that. As of now and the sgts test nothing has changed. Everything g is still in effect until something new comes out. Simple solution for city and CPD is to put out an order or on the actual test a notice that “use of force question are from directives prior to say December 31, 209

I agreed with all except this one. There is a huge, huge difference between being a supervisor and doing detective work. They are different jobs ENTIRELY. And going further, require two different skill sets. Both require competency, which is the most important (and often most missing) factor.
