"Dear Hustler"
Special E's drama has pretty much run past the "Dear Penthouse" type of story and is falling rapidly into something pornographer Larry Flynt would be writing. We might have a handle on Special Ed's disastrous week and thanks to all the readers who have been chiming in with info and assistance. See if you can follow this shit - we still aren't certain that it's all correct, but it's slightly more accurate than what the media is reporting:
- Individual A - Wife. Sitting at home knitting and watching late night TV, gazing out the window every few minutes, awaiting the arrival of her special guy. She arrived at work two hours late, so she took four at the end to rest up and have a hot dinner waiting for her man.
- Individual B - Driver and drinking companion. Seen on video "canoodling" with Special Ed and (if the rumors are to be believed) up to ten other officers at a bar. No word if this is part of the exempt crew that has been treating the Academy like a recruitment center for bedmates. Following the drinking, B was dropped off at HQ (where her car was) so that Ed could continue on his merry way.
- Individual C - Fellatrix, picked up after Individual B was dropped off at HQ
Here's where it gets complicated. Special Ed got dimed out on a city phone. We're assuming that Individual B didn't go home, but followed Special Ed and discovered that she wasn't the only one that Special Ed was cheating with. Coupled with the fact that she wasn't on a recent "merit" list, she called in a Woman Slumped Over a Johnson Man Slumped Over the Wheel, which is why everyone and Fergie is looking for the SIM card for her phone.
The cover-up that Fergie is investigating isn't about Johnson interviewing a potential "merit" promotee, but about numerous body cameras that went "missing" and footage that didn't get uploaded, specifically of Individual C being observed in the car, which also explains why Special Ed drove off so quickly.
This would also explain why Individual B was transferred from Ed's detail to a cushy spot (where she's currently on the Medical Roll for falling off of a chair). Special Ed suspected (or knew) she had been stalking him and his extracurricular activities and was going to be a problem.
Now she's (allegedly) being interviewed by IAD, the IG and perhaps a three-letter agency that might be interested in a certain uniform store. We are assured that this is going to get far worse before it gets any better and Groot is going to use this push a few more exempts out the door. We'll see.

In any case, the arriving officers investigating a citizen call-in
about Slumped Over The Wheel (as we were initially told)
would just HAVE to see Individual C and also wonder why
she was in that vehicle. The call was for a SOLO driver
slumped over the wheel. Now the arriving cops find
something different. Possible scenerios spin thru their brains
like slot machine wheels. Indy C just HAD to be picked up on
those cameras. Both officers had to have them running for
their own protection considering the time of night.
Johnson let every single member of the department down. His unethical behavior is not the image a professional organization has or should tolerate.
He totally screwed us all! With his wild antics!
I can only hope that these women who were used by Johnson get outed. All of them!

I'm still confused about the SIM card nonsense - when I need to investigate call logs at my company, I get on our Verizon account and every single inbound and outbound call is listed right the hell there, for every line on our entire account, broken down by phone. Same goes for AT&T when we had them. As company admin I can call and get SMS numbers too, content is more complicated of course.
SIM cards don't do shit today, except log the phone onto the carrier's network.

Develop a series of promotional tests, and require everyone that was ever a merit pick has to take them, and pass them.
Maybe if your normal minimum passing grade is 80%, set the bar slightly lower, like 70% to retain your spot. Make a series of tests, sergeant and up. Invite anyone eligible for promotion to take these same tests too, so you have a control sample of examinees.
This would be one objective way of weeding out the incompetent. The only problem is what do you do when 3/4 of your supervisory and leadership personnel are disqualified?

Yes, that has been going on for decades, but, not a lot have been engaging in this behavior. Part of the problem are the parties and get togethers that the instructors are invited to. That should be against the rules. No fraternizing or socializing.
Special Ed was merely practicing the "Chicago Values" that he condemned President Trump for failing to represent when he appeared in the city and called for "law and order."
Trump was correct in that Ed could have learned something by attending the conference. Possibly Trump could have given Ed pointers on how to beat back sex scandal allegations successfully.

For the non exempt/pc who saw the wrong doing and couldn’t report it for fear of retaliation, that is the blue wall of silence. When a regular police officer does something wrong they held accountable. When a clouted officer does something wrong nothing happens to them and they are free to sin again, unless of course for example you are caught on video beating up a bar tender. Maybe, just maybe, this is the reckoning. Maybe the real blue wall of silence that protects exempts/politically connected will finally be torn down and the Department become truly legitimate.......But I doubt it.

I'm surprised there haven't been more lawsuits filed over this crap.
Well Well Well,Looks like former Superintendent's staff (at least 3 of them) landed on their feet and went to homan square for the new assignment,all will have "take home cars" which will work out for the "other driver" J.B. for his ride to his part time job at the airport,hopefully all these tools will be put back in patrol....UNREAL and for E.J's workout guy(also known as 2/4 hour tour) including workout is supposing to retire.

A SIM card would not required to trace a phone call. The respective mobile carrier would have the info. The SIM card, among other things, identifies the phone with a specific carrier and it's respective phone number, and stores contact lists and text messages.
The Eddie Johnson you are seeing today is the same Eddie Johnson that everyone else saw for the last 25 years.

Quick question(s). Most officers that I see wear the “molly” vest and have their radios attached to their vest, as well as body camera and flash light. My questions are, and this pertains to those PO’s who are not obese or even just slightly obese. Where is a PO going to put the radio on their gun belt, taking into account the radio goes opposite your gun side, when the taser HAS to be carried on the non gun side also? I fluctuate between a 32-34 waist and there is no way these tools all fit properly and safely, for usage, on my belt. Either the taser or radio has to be eliminated, which one should it be?
For slimmer PO’s there just isn’t enough room on the duty belt for all these to be worn without some of these tools being worn literally on the back of the belt? How does a PO quickly and safely access those tools under stress? How does a PO sit in the squad for extended hours with a radio and taser sticking in your back? These are simple logistical concerns.
Some of you idiots who make policy don’t apply the real world application of their decisions. If the latest clown (Beck) wants us to wear the vest under our shirt, then he too should wear a full duty rig with ALL the tools and sit with it on in his chauffeured vehicle and office chair for a full tour every day, like PO’s do.
The only part of this story I have a hard time believing is footage being erased from BWC. I didn't think it was even possible to erase footage, at least at the district level. If it is even possible I would think some tech geek from Axon or at HQ would have to brought in before they are docked to do it. It will be interesting to see what comes out of that.

City does not have to pay. Outer vest cover was optional not issued. Take the vest out of the carrier and wear it under your vest.

All BWC evidence and in-car cameras were secured and downloaded. You fellow “brothers in blue” who constantly talk of our “blue family” make me ill. SCC. Off Topic. First NY, now LA. I was in a Detective meeting where they want to make a Central Homicide Unit out of Homan. Detectives will be on call, have a take home car, extra pay, and be assigned to teams in an Area, Just lie LA. Also being told it will be called Robbery Homicide Division just like LA. Meeting with the Mayor this eeek to float the idea by her instead of reopening Area 4 and Area 5.

Groot and several high ranking exempts are pushing for this. I was told there are a lot of logistics to be worked out, but it is going to happen eventually. One reason is overtime pay, and another reason is the belief there is over staffing in Homicide. In Los Angeles all homicide Detectives work days Mon-Fri, eliminating court OT. That is what they want to do here, but I was told they may also have a small skeleton 3rd watch crew Mon-Fri. On weekends and week nights, teams would rotate being “on call”. If a homicide occurs at night or on weekends, you get called out if your team is “up”. There has been talk about this for the last two years. CPD exempts have traveled to LA to learn and observed how this works. Now with this guy from LA in town running the show it looks like it’s more likely then not to happen. Wasn’t he recently at Area Central shaking hands and talking about how he understands people don’t like change, but it is necessary.

Maybe it’s a new twist on Shortshanks with his “Fedheimers”...... when he couldn’t remember what he’d forgotten.
Any time someone is injured while at work an IOD report must be filled out. Doesn't matter if it's duty related or not. Then the city looks at it and determines whether or not they will cover it as an IOD or just make it medical related. The individual will first be listed as IOD though, and will be in a stationary status with the medical section. It has to be proven that the person was injured while in the performance of his/her duties commensurate with the job title for the IOD status to remain in effect. This will likely be switched to medical status. Not the first person to try the "fell out of my chair" bit. Likely won't be the last.

There is a female in 10 with 2 years on that the department just made FTO. Right after her status she went IOD for year traveling and partying on snapchat all while she supposedly was hurt and could not work. Come back to work and one night had a PPO working with. She meets up with another PO that also had a PPO. They make the ppos ride together while her and the other PO disappear for hours until the PPOs get a domestic. When they arrive on scene the srgt is there and is like WTF are your partners.
Nothing happens to either one and now she is a FTO... what a joke.
I fluctuate between a 32-34 waist and there is no way these tools all fit properly and safely, for usage, on my belt.

Telling us to put our vests under our shirts does not impact our contractural rights, as the vests came with the carrier that allows them to be worn in that manner. We do not have to buy anything to accommodate the rule change. Now when they put the detectives in dark blue uniform shirts to set them apart from the P/O’s, the city will have to buy the first one. Changes are a coming.

Cato’s merit pick and disaster that is the new 011 Sgt. Sat and watched four coppers fight with an offender. Never assisted and never went over the radio to ask for assistance.
