Chicago during the fall migration season, naturalists with the city's
Field Museum have confirmed.
The birds collided with McCormick Place Lakeside Center early Thursday morning, museum officials said.
Photos circulated across social media of the dead creatures spread across several tables after being collected from the streets.
"You pick up a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and realize, if it hadn't been for a building in Chicago, it would be spending its winter in the foothills of the Andes," Dave Willard, collection manager emeritus with the bird division of the Field Museum told the National Audubon Society
That's weird....seeing as how a few tens of thousands of illegals will be spending winter across the US. We'd rather have the birds.

My predictions with crime have been holding up for years. This is only my opinion but it will take a little while before ALL the criminals understand what the Pritzker safety act means. Chicago will be a war zone come Summer 2024. Robberies are off the charts now. Good luck people. Crime hasn’t gone down. The shootings dropped slightly. Most of the shots fired calls get coded, even so the incident reporting guide has Bona-fide incidents require a report.
Most of the crime is going unreported. People are moving. Stores and businesses are closing. Detroit here we are!
Just horrible! Crime against living creatures! The building should be torn down! The design should be echo friendly! At that rate their won’t be any wildlife in Chicago! City sucks! So sad!

Easy, don't get lumped in with the animals. Nobody deserves death, loss of life is always a loss. I just wish people cared enough to actually BE the change: at the home/family-unit, school, workplace, etc. Make life matter, build relationships, CARE about one another. We can't arrest ourselves out of this problem.

You must be new to Chicago. The home/family-unit, school, workplace, etc. are nice thoughts to share. You might take a ride on the Red Line say Saturday night and talk to some interesting people traversing the city. Bring your cell phone, jewelry and money with you to help simulate the conversation. Look the part and catch the eye of your consumer audience. Sharing is caring.
BTW: How do you know you can't ameliorate the crime situation through arrests if you don't try? Of course, you would need BJ, Snelling, Kimmy, and Evans to do their jobs. Excellent talking points.
