Another explanation for the rapid influx of illegals:
A new study using existing trends from over the past 20 years predicted population decline in thousands of American cities over the next 80 years.
Researchers at the University of Illinois Chicago used population projections to find that, by the year 2100, almost half of nearly 30,000 cities in the US will experience a population decline.
The population decline would represent 12%–23% of the population of these cities, the study states. The aftermath of such a decline will bring “unprecedented challenges,” the study explains further.
These cities could face a loss in basic services like transit, clean water, electricity and internet access.
Population models already predict a large collapse by the end of this century. That's not counting an engineered plandemic or a supposed "vaccine" skewing death rates among young, healthy people.
And you wouldn't need transit and internet for a mostly illiterate city of sterile drones being bused around to do menial labor.

It will happen quicker than they predict. Just look around at the cesspool in Chicago. Five years ago we would have not been able to imagine what problems we would be facing now. Think back, do things keep getting worse. Think ahead what will it be like.
Have you been in any of the states West of Chicago lately? Thousands of towns and cities disappeared in the rural West. Take Highway 14 across Northern Nebraska. The old paper maps show dozens of towns along the highway. None of them are there anymore. You know they should be there at the intersection of 14 and another highway. They are not. Maybe an old abandoned something or some foundation sticking out of the weeds.
Just like ancient civilizations, cities and people can disappear as things change. The old 40 and 80 Acre farms of the 1800's and early 1900's are gone. Those family farms that raised families of 3,4,6,10 children and filled the local one or two room schools.
They are replaced by huge corporate farms of 1,000-3,000 acres, run by a dozen employees, many of whom are part timers. The average age of today's farm owner is in his 60's. And when he dies? The farm gets bought out by other farmers in their 60's and 70's.
You think your city of Chicago is immortal? It didn't exist 300 years ago. What makes it inevitable 300 years from now? Especially as most of its population are locusts and rats living off the labors of others?
Detroit was the fourth(?) largest city in the US and one of the richest in the World!. It took 50 years for Democrats to gut it and make the productive citizens leave. Chicago Democrats are doing the same to Chicago right now!
My wife and I plan on being one of the many people out of here.
I'd like to see some shanty towns spring up in the parks, beaches,....vacant land.

I think the blue states the city of Chicago the ghost town will be within the next five years. Maximum people are getting out of here all that they can. This one’s beautiful city is being totally utterly destroyed due to Democrats due to a governor who is clueless the same governor who is taking out edge rock United States of America to promote abortion killing babies is OK, but what are you expect from a governor who signed the safety act that allows all the criminals out killing people is OK also in the democratic playbook.
I have homes in NC and SC. Moved there from MI 30+ years ago. Growth in SC is booming. It’s fine if conservatives from Chicago want to move down here, but leave your leftie relatives and neighbors up there to live in the city they created with their votes. As for my place in NC, it’s a small town in the mountains. Think Mayberry. We’re pretty conservative up here on the mountain and we LOVE the police! Again, leave your leftie friends in Chicago. They seem to hate it down here. The lefties we already have just whine all the time about what a bunch of illiterate hicks we are.

We moved to rural NE Indiana two years ago and have never looked back. Everything we missed at first has vanished.
When we lament the lack of fancy dining here, we remember that you have to step over illegals to get into a restaurant in Chicago and pray you get back to your car safely afterward without getting mugged or worse.
When we miss the excitement of the city, we remember that it's not exciting anymore, it's terrifying and that the shit neighborhoods aren't staying put any longer.
When we miss the museums and culture, we remember that all that culture now comes draped in rainbow flags and BLM fist icons and worse.
We don't miss Chicago. We miss the 1990s. But both are gone, not coming back, and I'm happy to live in a place where none of that matters anymore.
Oh, and Fort Wayne is growing like crazy. Hmm, wonder what the difference could be.

You're right in that long-term predictions are usually worthless.
But you're wrong in overlooking the reality that this really ISN'T a long-term prediction and collapse is years, not decades, away.
So that's really just sophistry on your part and good evidence for my SHORT-TERM prediction that you will be one of those left holding the bag when the lights finally go out in Chicago for good.
These are the same morons and their "computer models" that predicted that global warming would melt the ice caps and flood the world by 1990, wait by 2000, no we really mean by 2020, actually by mid century, by the end of the 21st Century for sure. They also predicted overpopulation and a lack of food for the wrold. And to top it all off, they predicted the mass extinction of humanity by Covid.
Just to show what a genius I am, I predict there will be strong storms and tornadoes this spring, terrible violence in the streets of Chicago this summer (especially on hot, humid weekends), and there will be massive hurricanes in the Fall.

The next 75 years sounds like an Orwellian nightmare. I am glad that I did not "spread my seed" around while upon the face of this earth, and raise my own offspring. Taxpayers are leaving, which has been going on for a while.
Its going to head in the same direction if all they have are a bunch of bodies living in the cities that do not pay for the services.
Why should anyone care if they move out and won't have to deal with it anymore.

And many people are moving to Florida except now they are finding out Florida is having some of the same criminal problems as here except that they are actually putting the criminals in jail plus people are finding out the taxes are slightly cheaper except your vehicle taxes on your license plates are extremely expensive plus your car insurance and if you can get home insurance and some of the flood insurance they are stratospheric pricewise, so check into it before you move if you’re thinking about it because the Devil You Know is better than the devil you don’t know

There is a reason why suburbs can't retain people either. Not every suburb department is the same, nor is the best/trash. I've seen people go to TX and stay. Then there's people who came back from FL, and AZ. There are certain things people will not budge on.
But there is a reason why suburb departments can't hold CPD guys in certain areas, and don't give me that bullshit we have to work/yatta/yatta. EVERYONE can work, and do their job, this is not a STEM/Engineering or some mechanical type of labor field where you need education+training. Policing is straight forward if you apply yourself and work.
I'd argue how stupid things get, how micromanaged or insulting does it become for you or anyone else who did this. Is this reasonable? Is this what a normal cop would put up with daily? If the answer is No, then I fucking don't need these retards speaking their mind to me on advice. If you have to complain to work as a police officer, you never should have been one. But I won't take shit from some clueless Barney Fife tell me about "policing" for the rest of my career, let alone this "we know you came from XYZ, so we'll give you shit forever." Na. Fuck you. Fuck that. That's how you lose retention, employees, and more importantly backup. Just weigh your options and see what works best for YOU.
