Unauthorized Policy Group?
Remember that proposed Law in Springfield that would ban so-called "pre-textual stops"? Where no one could be stopped for expired plates, broken windshields, or anything that made a vehicle safe and legal to operate on the streets?
Representative Slaughter was the main sponsor and he claims he proposed it solely to "start a conversation." But we're hearing that Slaughter isn't smart enough to have come up with it on his own, but is merely a stalking horse for another group:
In a review of the proposed legislation, it was reported that HB 4603 - Prohibition of Pre-Textual Stops was submitted to J. Slaughter by representatives of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
Apparently there is a policy group within the CCSAO and this matter was funneled through the future law firm of State's Attorney Kim Foxx.
So Crimesha has an unacknowledged "policy group" made up of a bunch of liberal asshat lawyers, operating within the States Attorneys Office that will be incorporated into a law firm upon her departure from office?
No doubt it will also include that goof in Crimesha's office who was referring cases to outside law firms to sue police departments over "wrongful convictions," right?

You might think I'm a liberal after reading this but I'm far from it. But I do think many of these laws are just to fuck with people and not necessarily to protect society. It's a source of income for the city/state to generate money and not necessarily to target blacks or Latinos but unfortunately those two demographics tend to be the highest violators of such laws due to their financial situation. Not everyone can fix their expensive cracked windshield. I don't see how a cracked windshield poses a danger/threat to anyone. Either way, many coppers don't realize that not everyone should get a ticket and I know as a young officer I wrote everyone because I believed it was my duty. My last few years on the job I realized it wasn't necessary and luckily for me I had stopped believing it was my obligation. One day I stopped an individual for a red light, he said he was running late for work he was a block away and gave him a break, no ticket. Three years go by and this individual becomes a witness to a federal lawsuit I was facing where he testified on my behalf. The lawsuit was bullshit from the start but no matter what you never know what a jury might do. Now imagen if I would have wrote the guy a ticket even though I was in right write his testimony could have been a lot different. Who would have thought this guy was going to be on my corner three years later. I remember in the academy we were told that we have to go out the and prove everyone that we can this job then realized you have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself. I'm gladI'm done with this job.
As long as someone gets paid, and the taxpayers fucked....

1:34am if you throughout your career thought that you had to write everyone tickets you're a goof. Discretion has ALWAYS been taught, write the jagoffs and let the polite people go. Most of the laws are written for safety...for the owner of that car and for others. Broken brakelight? How many times do people almost hit the rear of a car in front of them that stopped/slowed at the last because their brake lights aren't working? Cracked windshields? You don't think that's a safety hazard? On top of that these "small" infractions many times lead to stops where weapons are uncovered or warrants discovered. How many times on patrol did a motorist wave a gun at you so it could give you p.c to stop them since you dislike the ticky tack crimes. It's probably the best thing that you retired

Please print a copy of your post and read it again after (God forbid) you handle your next fatal accident, after your next serious or really any property damage accident, a member of your family’s accident or good friend-even someone whose not a friend and is just the general public’s accident. Maybe you could have prevented that from happening.
As I said, you are a damn fool if you make traffic stops. Making a t-stop will not eliminate crashes. So please spare me the drama. I bet you are one of those fools that make stops under the belief it will further your otherwise pathetic career. I just pray that you are not on the watch or in the district I work.
