Movement on AH Bears
The Bears hardball efforts are paying off - Arlington Heights just blinked:
- Suburban Arlington Heights is offering big tax breaks to the Chicago Bears to build a new stadium in the village.
Village officials came up with a compromise over a tax property bill for land the Bears already own in Arlington Heights.
The potential deal would give the Bears tax liabilities of about $6.3 for the first year and $3.6 million for the second year. The current tax bill for the former Arlington Park property is nearly $10 million.
As we understand it, the property was taxed as if the racetrack and buildings were still intact. they aren't as the Bears have leveled just about everything on site, and they wanted the tax rated backed off to the "unimproved" levels for two years - which makes sense. There's nothing there.
The fact that Arlington Heights is acknowledging this is a pretty big step to landing the Bears stadium.

Chicago Bears should stay in Chicago.
Make sure there are no toilets on the property either. ~ J.B. Fatfuck
Bye Bears! Don't let the door hit your worthless ass on the way out.
I told you guys, they can build affordable housing there. They scared them.
Can’t leave soon enough go pack go a real functional organization fuck da bears
But who will the bears pass more money to in the manila envelopes? What politicians have the control and the ability to stack the cash and make that decision is the taxpayers getting raped more and more?
The Pontiac Silverdome is making a comeback in Chicagoland!
What now Conehead?
I think this was the wake up call last week...

I was starting to think they bulldozed it for the Illegals to get new tents?
Bears need to stay at soldiers field.
Build the dome on top of the current structure.
Allow drinking tailgating.
Have the police effect arrests for outlandish conduct include smoking weed and vaping.

Property taxes on commercial property are nothing but a money grab for the government. The government doesn't do anything to earn it. They might as well give them a break that gets them to put a stadium in. Home games in Arlington Heights will be a definite boom to their economy.
Who give a shit ? I mean really.
To the people of Arlington Heights--BOHICA
I've never seen anyone work so hard just to catch a case of herpes.
Soldier field was remodeled because if they built a indoor stadium the united center would of lost a lot of venues. The envelopes were passed around the ownner's of the United stadium are a mob.
Just like a Chicago based organization to raze a near beautiful landmark leaving a eyesore and then walk away. Anything affiliated with Chicago brings forth the ghetto.
Viva La Arlington Heights!!!!
Here comes the casino in AH. Think Biff'S Casino from Back to the Future connected to the White Sox new stadium.
Bad news Bears. Can’t tax em if they’re in AH, which means they generate zero for our pension. I have absolutely no other interest in the Bears, the NFL, or Chicago for that matter except that which relates to pension funding.

Maybe I missed something. Were the Bears funding our pension? I think they missed a few payments then. Is Bears money somehow guaranteed to fund the pension that should already be funded by other money? No matter where the Bears go, the pension money will be used however those in charge see fit. The Bears staying in Chicago would have zero effect on the pension, except maybe a negative effect if they needed to use that money for the stadium. If they stay, that's guaranteed to be a net loss for decades due to the cost of the stadium, whatever tax break they give to keep them, etc.
The Bears have no intention of moving to AH. It's all smoke and mirrors.
The Bears want a complex. Hotel, sports book, sports museum, high end shopping, restaurants. Arlington heights is the only solution for that. Another stadium in Chicago is just that, a stadium, and the City still has their hands in it. The Bears management is stupid, but not that stupid.
Soldiers fiield????
"The Pontiac Silverdome is making a comeback in Chicagoland!"
Fitting, since Chicago will be the Detroit of the 21st century. Conehead is the new Coleman Young.
Arlington Heights are suckers who blinked first.
5:38PM……. Bears, Boeing, United, Ken Griffin leaving or left……The secondary businesses that feed off of the big ones leave….
Sooner or later it all adds up and nobody is left to tax. So yes it does matter if a crappy football team leaves.

It's Soldier Field, you dope. I've never not tailgated at a Bears game. Maybe you're parking at the wrong lot. You can't just plop a dome on top of an ancient stadium. There's this whole engineering and architecture nonsense that comes into play. You been doing some of that smoking weed you mentioned?
Fuck the bears, Fuck the pack (4:39 tool !)
Fuck the nfl and every other blm-supporting, LEO-hating entity !!!

Cool story. How much have the Bears contributed to our pension, and how much will they contribute in the future if they stay? Surely you can provide at least one of those numbers. Then tell me why the pension remains severely underfunded. Then give me your estimate for how many centuries the Bears will have to stay in Chicago to get the pension fully funded. If they stay, it will be because they got a new stadium on the taxpayers' dime, and a huge tax break on everything else. Guess where that money comes from in a broke city and state? The pension suffers more if they stay, guaranteed.
