When we tell (suggest) everyone vote "NO" on each and every judge when presented the opportunity, this is why:
- Two men accused of trying to lure children into a van where Cicero
police allegedly found condoms, lubricant, and a mattress were not
detained on the charges because prosecutors and the judge mistakenly
believed attempted child abduction is not a detainable offense under
Illinois’ cashless bail system.
Both men have been detained for other reasons, one for violating parole and the other for violating probation. However, if those holds are released, they will go home on electronic monitoring.
Judges and most of Crimesha's public defenders "prosecutors" are morons, don't know their jobs and can't be bothered to look up the rules.
If we f@#$ed up a case this badly, we'd be looking at suspension days. These idiots endanger children and there isn't an iota of consequences.

Judges, being elected, provide an excellent opportunity to fire them.
As being slated by the democrats equals certain election, as well as being appointed by democrats, having the opportunity to deny them re electionnis the button most delightful to press.
Alas, too many who do vote fail to pounce on this opportunity.

ASA’s are just ridiculous with pre-release in general. Keeping up with the emails from the courthouse, the SA’s office, etc, they had already said not to create a list of what is or is not detainable. They also advise they will not answer questions if you call them as it pertains to holding someone. We had a felony, domestic dissemination case not too long ago. We asked after we got the approval if it was detainable. We were told “it’s Officer discretion and depends on your department policy but I can’t tell you what to do.” Da fuq….

The story will make your blood boil. SCC is absolutely right about the officers of the Court being morons. The vast majority of the State House and that pompous Pritzker are to blame for this Safe-T-Act. Most of these people are not acting in the best interest of the citizens that they represent.
Most people have no idea as to what’s going on with these elected officials. When they go to vote they rely upon the Democrat payroller who stands in front of the polling place who hands them the palm card that tells them whom to vote for. Then they feel so good that they did their civic duty!

This is an absolute ignorant comment, from someone who has barely ever been to court except for your movers and occasional felonies. There are a FEW Good State’s Attorneys that become Judges. If we didn’t vote , most if not all Judges would come from the Public Defender’s Office or the far left liberal pool that politicians pick from. Jim Murphy is a proven example of someone needed on the bench. Peggy Chiampas we need on the bench. Angela Petrone, Ursula, I could name easily a dozen more. If WE hadn’t pulled a Democratic ticket and voted for them, they wouldn’t be Judges. Who do you think signs our search warrants in the middle of the night when a Police Officer has been killed? Or gives us the benefit of the doubt in court where most PD Judges vote their politics vs the facts.

Really, maybe he should hire an auditor to find out who is paid, what hours these ex cons are working, what neighborhoods they are working . It's a felony, it goes to court. Also it's a domestic, it goes to court.Don't overthink things. Whether someone is detainable or not has nothing to do with the police department, that is for court to decide.
Once they are elected almost impossible to force out. When on the retention ballot it takes 60% of those voting to remove them. Happened twice that I know of in the last 50 years. Precinct captains have a few of their loyal fellow democrats vote for them and after that is hard and almost impossible to get the 60% no votes
That is what D.E.I. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has wrought in this country.

Well, there is more then enough blame to go around. First we can start with the selection process of judges; totally political and racial. Then we can go on to Chief Judge Evans for running such a lousy and political court system. There does not seem to be any control or accountability for any judges for not managing their court rooms and moving cases along or for making very bad decisions. Evans needs to go for starters. I seriously doubt any judges actually work a full day or a full week and rarely hold defense lawyers to any standard.Cases take years to work their way in the system.
The vaast majority of asa and judges for that matter went to John Marshall. Which is one of the worst law schools in the country. What do you expect? You just dropped 200k on school and took a job paying 50k how smart is that?
I've always voted no on all the judges. I figure if we could get rid of a bunch of them, then maybe the morons in Springpatch would change how they're selected.

As for the pay for these creatures, figure in that they also get reduced monthly payments on their student loans, including law school loans while they work there, because of their "low pay", and that after ten years there, their loans are forgiven entirely, through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, which also applies to teachers in large cities, but because they are lawyers, they also pay no taxes on the forgiven debt.
