CPS teachers are busy this week in meetings in preparation for another dismal school year but that didn't stop their own kids from being arrested downtown.
Nicholas Bongiorno, 18, of Park Ridge is facing several charges after police say he allegedly battered a CPD officer protecting people protesting in the 1900 block of W. Maypole on 8/19. Bongiorno allegedly tackled an officer, resulting in a concussion to the officer.
That's the WGN report, but our commenters seem to know even more:
- Who's Nick's mommy? Why it's Nancy Bongiorno, Taft High School Special Education/Civics teacher.
Mommy is also a CPS Residency violator, a shifty one at that after buying and getting a Homeowner's Exemption for her own place in Park Ridge in 2021. See, Mommy Nancy Bongiorno doesn't have a residency waiver and isn't grandfathered-in with the old policy either.
In the past, Nancy gave CPS her parent's address in Chicago as her primary residence when she and her three kids lived in a home owned by her now divorced husband. It should be four kids as ole' Nancy got knocked up by another CPS teacher (Vincent Rociola) while she was still married and separated from her kid's father and both Nancy and Vincent were teachers at Prosser Career Academy High School in 2008 or 2009.
Nancy resigned from CPS and then popped up at Bridge Elementary School as a Resource Teacher while faking living in Chicago. CPS OIG rarely investigates residency violators, so Nancy was free to keep on lying where she lives and recently she was teaching Civics/Special Education at Taft HS at $104K per year.
Rociola was sued by Bongiorno for child support on the lust child and he has three more years to pay on that. Since Rociola can only be garnished by one creditor, the City of Chicago has to wait to garnish him on over $3000 in parking, red light, and speed camera tickets.
Rociola aka Rocaine was DNH'd by CPS in 2017 after testing positive for cocaine and misappropriation of students' driver Education money while a PE Teacher at Lake View High School. This after he was cut from Sullivan High School and displaced from Prosser for failing to have his PE, Health, Driver Education, and Aquatics teaching credentials. Later, Rociola was fired by Acero Dela Cruz High School (CPS Charter) for not divulging he was a CPS employee under suspension when hired by Acero...you have to love those people doing the vetting.
There's probably a couple months worth of I-Team exclusives just following these teachers around and seeing where they actually live in violation of residency ordinances. Probably another couple months running names through various Court databases for stuff like this.

This Rociola character is one of the many things wrong with CPS. He was the subject of multiple founded investigations and still ended up keeping his teacher certification because CPS was too cheap to get it revoked by ISBE

At the time Nancy and Vince created their lust child, his auntie (Prosser principal Ken Hunter's secretary) Patricia Scott-Wielgus submitted his name for WGN Teacher of the Month for February 2009 and the scam artist won. WGN needs to vet their TOTM candidates better as at the time he won Rociola was on 2-week paternity leave to be with his baby's momma, didn't have his proper teaching certifications, and his PE classes resembled a prison yard.

Rociola even had the stones to create his own fugazi Masters degree and submitted a doctored diploma to CPS.

One colleague of his did an online chat with the Univ of Phoenix, here's what was asked and said:

First, this was forced upon everyone, so complain at a City Council meeting instead of here. Secondly, sometimes standing around and "doing nothing" is what works. It is commonly referred to as "Police presence" which can be a deterrent by itself. Thirdly, if you are concerning yourself with wasted taxpayer dollars, complain to YOUR politicians (democrats). They not only had the convention, but hosted multiple private events, stayed in lavish hotel rooms with all of the amenities and lastly, were chauffeured around in gas guzzling full size SUV's. I guess the "green deal" bullshit doesn't apply to them. Lastly, unconcern yourself with this blog, asshat.

Nancy Bangiorno isn't the only residency violator at Taft.
Taft High School is well-known for nipotism as there's two brothers working as PE teachers on their Oak Park Ave. Campus. Brett and Chad Nishibayashi were given their jobs 20 and 14 years ago to work with their father Nick Nishibayashi, another Taft PE teacher at the time in 2010. Neither #1 or #2 son had to go through an interview process nor were others interviewed for each position. In fact, Brett was paid to do his student teaching at Taft and when that was over BOOM!!! a PE teaching position mysteriously opened for him there. And, Chad walked into another PE teaching position at Taft in 2010.
At one time, the three Nishibayashis combined for $265K in salaries and another $80K in benefits due to their old man using his friendship with then principal Artur Tarvardian to make it a family affair in the Taft PE Dept.
In later years, the old man (known as Camel Joe for sitting in his office and smoking cigs while a vo-teacger ran his classes) was forced to resign as athletic director as he was his son's direct supervisor
One would think both sons would keep a low profile and just stroll home with easy money, especially as neither son ever had to lift a shovel in their lives. But, noooooo!!!
#2 son Chad Nishibayashi bought his nana's home in Northbrook in 2014 and has lived their since with the CPS OIG Will Fletcher knowing full well about it. Even though, Chad was initially hired as a Chicago resident and the CPS Residency Policy doesn't allow for waivers for employees to then move to the suburbs. Chad even has the stones to also get multiple Homeowner's Exemption on the Northbrook home, his primary residence and he spends a majority of time.

Fletcher has known about #2 son since he took over as CPS OIG in July 2020 and has done nothing to investigate him.
This wasn't enough for Chad to just keep a low profile as not only did he have a great paying job for doing little to no work and live in violation of the CPS Residency Policy, he then ran and won a teacher rep position on the Taft Local School Council (LSC). So, a lying, fraudulent, and connected teacher was then able to vote approval on Taft's budget transfers and internal accounts. Huh?
Chad no longer is on the LSC after nearly 4 years as teacher rep, but, he now makes $95K+ and his brother Brett makes close to $110K plus another $60K in benefits that includes CPS picking up 7% out of each 9% pension contributions. Plus, 10 sick days and 2 personal days per year.
Not bad money for two brothers who never worked a hard day's work in their lives. Think about them when Antifa scum calling you a mother fucker and trying to brain you with a brick.

Heard on the mean streets of Park Ridge this offender (a few years ago) was detained for selling his meds to fellow students.......
Prosser Career Academy High School was a cesspool of employee misconduct for several years under ex-principal Kenneth Hunter. Hunter himself was suspended for 30 days without pay for allowing non-certified coaches to work with students. Two Prosser football coaches were aware of players and promoted hazing a freshman player and two wrestling coaches verbally abused a female student with sexual innuendo. All four coaches were fired and DNH'd by CPS and the hated student settled with CPS for $50K.
More Prosser misbehaving employees:
- Tech coordinator (Sebastian Sieczkowski) admitted to getting TWO separate blowjobs from a Black female freshman student in 2007. Sieczkowski was suspended WITH pay for 4 months and was promoted twice until 2018 when CPS finally fired/DNH'd him.
- HVAC teacher (Scott Gallus) took a plea deal and served 30-60 days in prison for misdemeanor sexual assault for going down on a Hispanic female student in the parking lot of Cafe Baba Reba after tossing down Sangrias with her. Gallus was able to come out of prison and is now enjoying a $80K a yr pension. The girl was given a $780K settlement for the tongue lashing.
- Graphic Arts teacher (Donald Fenwick) was caught by another CPS teacher watching amateur porn of himself, his wife, and another guy having sex with each other in his classroom. Fenwick resigned and was DNH'd by CPS. But, somehow landed at Oak Park-River Forest High School as a Special Education Assistance afterward for 2 years until getting let go/DNH'd by them.
-Counselor Diana Martel-Ortiz and her bf clerk Jeffrey Bates were each given a DNH designation by CPS for Martel-Ortiz lying about living in Chicago. Her and Bates were caught living in Lincolnwood. Bates was caught tampering with employee documents. Bates also was allowed to keep working for CPS through the years without suspension after getting 2 separate DUIs and a domestic arrest for trying to strangle his coked up wife. Bates is now collecting a $54K a year pension.
- PE teacher (Vincent Rociola) was displaced from his position in 2009 after it was found out he didn't have PE, Health, Driver Education, or Aquatics certifications to teach any of the subjects as he was certified in History and the nephew of Hunter's secretary Patricia Scott-Wielgus. Rociola did this for 4 years until losing his position and was later DNH'd by CPS for testing positive for cocaine and misappropriation of driver education money in 2017-18 while a PE Teacher at Lake View High School.
- Hunter was arrested after resigning as principal for electronic sexual harassment of his ex-gf after sending her over 200 sex texts. This led to Hunter losing the Chicago Principal Administration Association election. Though, Hunter was awarded with an honorary street sigb on Long Ave down the street from Prosser, Kenneth Hunter Way.
Not to be outdone is the bat shit craziness and racial issues between adults happening at Steinmetz High School. There's a libel lawsuit going on with 4 Steinmetz teachers Ashok Emmanuel, Vincent Caputi, Tara Dunne, Gina Szulkowski) v. Steinmetz JROTC Instructor (Cornell Davis).

Apparently, Davis sent emails using fake emails to everyone and their mother associated with Steinmetz and CPS about employee misconduct, financial malfeasance, vendor fraud, shady people on their Local School Council, etc
(Flyers were left in the Steinmetz main office with Davis head attached to a snake and other reading "N***** do as you're told.")
The four teachers were dragged through the mud pretty good. And one LSC member (Vanessa Valentin) is now Ald. Villegas (36th) Chief of Staff.
Also, Steinmetz principal Anna Vilchez filed an EOCO complaint v. Caputi and Szulkowski for discriminating against her for being Hispanic. Vilchez in the past hung a sign outside her office reading "Latino Boss". The complaint was found to be unsubstantiated.
(One part of the EOCO complaint had Vilchez accusing Caputi of sending out a cartoon of Vilchez holding a temperature reading device to her forehead with the reading showing "EMPTY.")
Vilchez also filed misdemeanor assault charges against Szulkowski for aggressively questioning her after an LSC meeting. Those charges were unfounded as all witnesses stateď Szulkowski never touched or threatened Vilchez.
Add into the mix, Vilchez laid off seven Steinmetz teachers and staff, closed their positions, and reopened them all under Bi-Lingual tags. The seven laid off employees filed grievances against Vilchez for not notifying them in a timely manner. All seven were told an hour before summer break they were cut by a now ex-assistant principal (Leslie Seitman) when Vilchez knew since mid-April 2024 the positions would be cut and reopened as Bi-Lingual ones.

An individual can vote in multiple cities if they claim a residence in each city, but, can only vote once in a state or federal election.
A person can get only one Homeowner's Exemption for a home they claim as their primary residence where they spend a majority of their time. Most of the CPS Residency violators are getting Homeowners Exemptions in non-Chicago cities, meaning they're not paying Chicago property taxes and quite a few aren't paying Cook County taxes either.
Ex.) Taft PE teacher Chad Nishibayashi is registered to vote in Chicago (parent's home on Bernard Ave.) and in Northbrook (where he actually lives in his home on Longaker). He gets a Homeowner's Exemption on his home in Northbrook. CPS OIG's office has known about Chad for a decade and chooses not to investigate him, even though mounds of evidence on Chad was given to them
