Lawsuit for What?
Has the Department finalized the cover-up for the Sox Park shooting yet? Because the lawyers are getting antsy to get paid:
- The Chicago White Sox and the owners of Guarantee Rate Field are facing a lawsuit over a shooting at the ballpark last year. Almost one year since people attending a White Sox game were hit by gunfire, one of the victims is filing a lawsuit.
Two women in the ballpark stands were hurt in the incident in August 2023. Video from that day shows the reaction as the two women realized they had been shot.
An unidentified woman filed a lawsuit Thursday, seeking damages in excess of $50,000 dollars.
The story (cover-up) claims that ShotSpotter pinpointed a number of shots from nearly a mile away around the same time (give or take twenty minutes). In defiance of the laws of physics, two bullets fired within a second, traveled in exactly the same parabolic arc for nearly a mile, surmounting a one-hundred-plus foot wall. Said bullets then dropped at a precipitous angle (unexplainable by ballistic science by the way) with enough generated force to (A) penetrate the flesh of one victim, and (B) enough re-entry heat to leave a scorch mark on the belly fat of another.
In reality, a suburban residing CPS employee, while removing a gun hidden in her fat rolls, experienced a negligent discharge, leaving one victim shot and the owner suffering a muzzle burn measuring a couple inches across her torso (per CFD sources). Other members of their party then concealed the gun and got it out of the stadium.
The media has assisted greatly in the cover-up, refusing to ask a single pertinent or relevant question, such as does the suburban residing CPS employee have an FOID card, a CCL and a registered handgun? A single affirmative answer to any of these questions would lead to a slew of other questions.
You can bet the White Sox lawyers would love to ask them. But Jerry is asking for a new stadium with taxpayer financing, so who knows what they'll be allowed to ask?
So what's the basis for the lawsuit? Either random bullets fell out of the sky and hit two people, which would pretty much absolve the White Sox of any responsibility. Or the plaintiff knows a gun got smuggled past security, knows who shot her and how, and is looking to get a payday to keep her mouth shut and spare someone some embarrassment.

More importantly, the suburban residing employee doesn't have a residency waiver to live in the suburbs nor is she grandfathered-in with the old CPS Residency Policy as she was in high school at the time.
The new CPS Residency Policy was put into effect on November 20, 1996 and requires eligible teachers and staffers to attain a waiver when initially hired in a need basis subject àrea to live outside Chicago. All others hired after 11-20-1996 are SUPPOSED to be Chicago residents.
The Old Residency Policy allows CPS employees hired before November 20, 1996 to live wherever they choose to live.
Only seeking $50k? Get another lawyer
fatty fatty 2x4 smuggled the gun through the front door...

I thought the blog author was retiring.
McDermott screwd this up.
Gary Coleman says...
What you talkin bout Willis ? !?
Why is Fred Waller still working at HQ , with a driver and a take home car?
Everything is CORRUPT.
EVERYTHING!
After all legal fees, there will be just enough money to cover lipo and a tummy tuck.
He wasn’t the only one. There were other bosses that should’ve beat him to the scene. The dick’s boss didn’t even respond. It was a mess in the immediate area. People were trying to figure out what had happened. Good for them the game continued but bad for us, because we thought there was a sniper targeting the stadium.
Because he’s the 1st Deputy. Because he got rid of the old sergeant list after only 250 people were promoted off of it. He has to see his friend’s promotions through on the new list.
we now again hear from 35th street
Go to trial and let's hear the answer to some interesting, entertaining questions. Oh No sox security(or lack of it) would be exposed. pay and forget it.
cause he beez special an sheet, don't ya know
What the heck is a "registered handgun"?
What is your point?
Knowing that is a bogus claim probably hoping that with the low $$$ amount they will just settle.
That's one magic loogie. There was clearly a second spitter.
To the members of this department that pin a gold star on your chest. Now that the DNC is over, you should be asking yourself the following questions ( know as a hot wash); what did I do to make an already stressful situation better for my employees. Did I lead from the front? Did I support my employees? Did they know that I cared about their wellbeing? Did I make sure my employees had all the information they needed to do their job in a timely manner? Did I check that my employees were fed or had food available, had something to drink or had that readily available, had a break, whether it was for the washroom or just to decompress. If you answered yes to almost all of these, you are more than just a boss, you are a true leader- you are what we need more of on this department.
If you didn’t do any of the above things and created an already stressful situation making it even worse by bombarding your employees with emails that were cut and pasted from the AMC’s about being in uniform, crown cap, clean shaven, no 5.11 pants and have a yellow vest or you knit picked over paying them overtime by shortchanging them by a 1/2 because of the unpaid lunch only paying them 11.5 hours of overtime instead of 12 hours, or not admitting that you or your front office made a mistake with your assignment or start time. Constantly worrying about your employees getting you in trouble by micromanaging and unnecessarily lashing out at your employees; YOU are the furthest thing from a leader!!!! You are a dictator and is not what this department needs. I highly advise you read a few books on leadership, do a google search on the best ones.
As far as the superintendent, he showed some great leadership, the only fault I would give is the mission plan was late being filtered down to the troops, but this could very well by his commanders fault.
If I was Snelling, I would find out what gold stars created chaos and more stress for their employees, I would demote them immediately! People like this would not have any place like that in my command!
He’s still here. I don’t know about working.
For those who haven’t caught on, they’ve been retired for a while!
The Sox should be used for horrible play.
Read the post. It says damages in excess of $50,000. Commonly used on a lawsuit
Does police hating groot still have a police protection detail, if so why?
What we need are common sense fatfold restrictions!
When will the story break of the PO assigned to 010, who is detailed to 610. Rumor has it he was on duty and dragged in PO girlfriend out of a squad car and beat the crap out of her?
Someone looking to get paid handsomely too bad it’s not a prison sentence
When will they enforce the residency rules on anyone living outside of the city?
Damages in excess of $50,000. That's just standard language to get it past the $50,000 Law Division threshold. Amount to be determined.
I took the CCL classes. I became an instructor. And I always tell everyone and anyone I talk to to just slip the gun into your belly fat or love handles and save the cost of a decent holster. Hell holsters are an inconvience anyway right? Just ask any gang banging pro, front pocket, waist band around your knees while running. Lots of alternatives. Negligent Discharge? Nah the negligence was between the ears, period!
So. So. Fat. Gimme some, I teach yo chillins.
do not for 1 minute think lars is your friend he will if you are white he will throw you under the bus in a second i wonder many of us will be stripped after the dnc
regarding don jerome and the complaint made against him don has been taken care of since day one he never had a bad day on this job big wack , also
he wont go out of his way to screw you but unless you have clout or are some hot dollie he wont to jack for you either
Saw a comment about Tom Ahern a few days ago and was thinking that myself. He’s a solid great guy but why was he in the front in a black jacket that no one really knows(police AND protesters) who he is? He’s lucky he didn’t get hurt or sued for putting hands on the little Trust Fund Commies. That being said unlike some cowardly Superintendents(Weis and Brown) he showed some stones as did Supt Snelling and the coppers appreciated any extra set of hands.
Depends on how heavy all involved are.
now,,, if the shooter was a white off duty officer,,,, then the liberal news would be demanding answers and doing their own investigations
she knows she's lying thats why!!!
Snelling did not show great leadership. He was out there for the optics of looking tough without a helmet and protective gear shoving and pushing some idiots around. Next time go behind the line and give directions on who to arrest and let the arrest teams handle the arrests. Same goes for the civilians Brooks and Ahern and the other morons without helmets - you have no place on the front lines. Get the fuck back behind the lines and let the troops do what they were trained to do.
We can't have the Shotspotters pin point accuracy pointing inside the ball park that's why we are getting rid of it. Right.
These mother fuckers are there own worst fucking enemies ! Shoot one another without even trying, and then sue someone else for it ! CTUs finest examples of socialist Marxist Democrat's ideology !
Tip of the cap to our street sergeants and bike units. They earned their OT and DNC ribbon. Credit to Snelling who did a great job on this particular event as well. But the lieutenants and deputy chiefs looked way in over their heads. Those that came to the police shooting at 18th and Loomis and turned tail and fled once the La Razas began throwing rocks and bottles at the police should be ashamed. That was a test of real leadership and crowd control. Epic fail.
Devries is lunatic and all he does is yell at his subordinates when he gets overwhelmed or stressed. Definitely shouldn’t be in a leadership position.
Because the system is corrupt. He covered it up for Reinsdorf and was rewarded with civilian city job.
McDermott is an idiot and no one can strand his non policing inspector gadget ass but it wasn’t him he actually ordered the park to shut down. But big headed ass Fred overruled it and corruptly hid it and later blamed himself for a “miscommunication” with MLB. For that he was rewarded and brought back as a civilian director. I’m hearing he’s going around bragging and tooting his horn that it was his strategies that kept the DNC from going South!
There's a strain of theory in cultural anthropology that posits that a population that's incapable of inventing a technology is incapable of coexisting peacefully with it. Think automobiles, guns, and even cities.
Where is the like button?
Can someone tell super tact officer female ginger in 005 to stop blowing her own horn so much? We all worked the DNC such a pompous self promoter I feel sorry for anyone that ends up with her as a sergeant when she makes it.
Thank you, Chief Hein, for the email telling us how good a job we did during the DNC, now pay us. HQ told the Timekeepers to deny Supervisors slips for being detailed out of area (18hrs per day). HQ also told the Timekeepers Police Officers cannot pyramid time. This means if you have a change of schedule and 6th workday, you will only get one. All are separate sections of both contracts.
He has zero clout you goof.. takes care of everyone.he helped me and I’m a m/4 with no juice. Honestly one of the best bosses I’ve ever worked for.
Does this dipshit troll this he/she/it is funny?
There are two police cars and two officers from the office of the superintendent in front of her home on Wrightwood
She should sue the spoon and fork makers.... for letting her get so fat...
They got away with a firearm discharge, now they need some change in their pockets.
I’m usually the first to bash the Supe but in this case..
Superintendent Snelling showed real leadership and he’s been recognized around the country. You cannot take that away from him. The good thing about him being on the frontline is that any citizen complaints regarding the DNC will be ______ because he witnessed things firsthand and in his eyes everything went well. Great job Superintendent Snelling.
I too have been a victim...
Wrong.
Why don't you tell her? Or are you one of those who always asks someone else to do their work?
Lt M.k from 004 2nd watch tried to stress everyone out even though there was nothing to worry about. Maybe he will tell some more stories about his past as cha officer
