It Happened Again!?!?
Can't anyone read the damn signs???
A teen was injured after an argument between two women led to a shooting on a CTA bus in Chatham Monday evening, Chicago police said.
The women were in a “verbal altercation” on a CTA bus in the 8600 block of South State Street at 5:22 p.m. when one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting, police said. A 16-year-old passenger was grazed on his knee and treated at the scene.
No one is in custody.
With all these criminals carrying guns illegally on public transportation, it seems the only way to ensure your own safety is to carry your own gun illegally.

CTA special ain’t worth dat.
No weaves were harmed in this verbal altercation.
"Oh no you dident, oh yes I did"
Bernhard Goetz figured it out.
Only way to ensure your safety is to get out of Chiraq.
I did not know those Amish are taking the bus down there
They aren’t trained to read, they only practice and train on traditional feral gender studies aka baby momma making and mayhem. The signs are not for them. The signs are color blind except for patsies, easy pickings, aka law abiding citizen.
those people and folks can always say in court that they do not know sign language,,, so it was ok to have a gun on the cta
She must have been sleeping during her de-escalation training at CPS. A proficiency exam should be a graduation requirement before issuance of a cap and gown for legacy photos. She should have learned to keep her finger off the trigga during this pointing incident and use time as a tactic while giving verbal direction.
I think there is something in the buses causing folks to start shooting.
Did the perpetrators have a valid FOID card?
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6
Until a normal working stiff defends themselves. Then the full might and power of the Chicago police will leave no stone unturned to find them...
Mister Saturday-Night-Special
You got a barrel that's a-blue and cold
So, ain't good for nothin'
But put a man six a-feet in a hole
Shoot back
I had a disturbing, but probably not "life threatening" incident today. I would appreciate it if any SCC writers, readers with expertise in this area can give me some practical suggestions on what to do if it happens again.
I m 64, still fit, health, I"m 6ft 1 180 lbs. I'm semi retired live in the City by the lake. I was walking in a near lake front park 11:30 AM and I noticed a very loud group of "youths" ~ 20-25 look to be young high school age ~ 14 - 15 years old. Mostly males but 2 or 3 females. They had taken over a children's playground of swings and small merry go round, shouting as ~ 10 youths climbed on one small merry go round.
I thought at first that it might be a supervised school event during lunch time but after observing I did not see any supervisory adults. I'm about 95% sure these "youths" were cutting school and just... you know.
The youths observed me observing them, which was probably my fault for stopping. Some started making threats, some racial comments threats and came out of the playground to confront me. I kept my cool and walked slowly away and they let it go.
I do have a CCL, but wasn't carrying today. My self defense weapons were a wooden walking cane and some pepper spray and a tactical pen. If they jumped me I would have been outnumbered ~ 20 - 1.
There was a similar confrontation with a CTA elevated train rider go my age and about 5 "youths" mixed male and female that messed with him on the train, followed him off the train and beat him.
So, can anyone. here give me some practical advise on what to do, not do if I see this same group or similar groups of "youths" on my walks.
Obviously I messed up by stopping to notice them, but I was at least smart enough not to say anything or respond to their threats or show fear.
I did report this incident to University police and my alderman's office and they were nice and respectful and didn't take the punks side. That's good.
Thanks in advance.
yea,,, keep on voting democRATic you liberal and real soon those yoots will really show some of their inner capone
