The wheels move slowly, but they certainly move:
- A jury awarded more than $12 million Friday to a woman who lost her
job at a Michigan insurance company after declining to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Much of the award — $10 million — is for punitive damages against Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, according to the verdict form.
Lisa Domski, who worked at Blue Cross for more than 30 years, said she was a victim of religious discrimination. The company in 2021 did not grant an exemption from its vaccine policy, despite her insistence that it clashed with her Catholic beliefs.
Readers will recall that after a Canine Officer discovered that CPD was being denied 99% of requests for religious exemptions while the rest of the city employees were succeeding at something like 70% acquiescence, he raised Holy Hell and got a lot of Groot's bullshit stopped.
Now we're finally seeing corporations being held financially accountable. Government cannot compel corporations to do things that the government is forbidden to do (like violate Civil Rights and bodily autonomy) but Joe and the Ho attempted to do just that....and Groot embraced that fascist authoritarian dogma like a bitch in heat.

Glen Popiela is one of the most solid dudes I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting on the job. Known him for decades. He has done more for officers with uncovering the religious exemption bullshit than FOP did. He’s got brass balls, even went over CW1 and got an event number for the CR# he had his sergeant pull on the exempt member that direct ordered him at the Covid portal. Named the dude, his star number and date, time, location etc 😂. And then dared them to retaliate. He painted them into a corner, used their own rope to hang them. He’s the first guy you want on your team and the last motherfucker you want on your ass. Because when he sets his sights on something he ain’t stopping til it’s game over. During Covid- 19, male. officer in the 002nd District with less than two weeks from retiring was forced by Groot and her CPD Minions to take the jab. The department set the deadline for taking the jag one week before the officer’s out date. He was terrified, because he already had minor underlined medical issues that were under control. He told everyone about him not wanting to take the jab. He was told by department members that if he didn’t take the jag , he would be stripped of his police power and face termination. Regrettably he took the jag and died in his sleep, the very next day. They day he passed away, Officers went to his home to see why he didn’t show up for roll call and learned that he had passed away. They searched he pockets and found the covid-19 vaccination card.
To this day, they are keeping his death hush, hush. Only one top brass member showed up at his funeral services and the FOP did not show. No one reaches out to his family.

I doubt that many of you will remember, but in the late 60s gas station use to hand out trading stamps and “gifts” for purchasing gas (25 cents a gallon). Atlantic Richfield started giving steak knives. Then he spent most of the tour drafting FOIA requests and sharing some of what he had obtained. Laser focused is an understatement to describe his attack as to what he put together. I imagine a shit ton of supervisors and the big cheeses at HR hate him, especially the ones whose emails and cell records he pulled who were involved in the whole charade.
You probably wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they were closely watching compliance with submitting the twice weekly Covid test results into the portal; they flagged people who were not submitting, sending pix of menus and other assorted nonsense, etc. Yep, he’s got that information also. Learned a lot from him with this whole process the more we worked together.
So I wasn’t at all shocked to hear that he uncovered and went nuclear with the Special Employment suspension inequities. Sounds like he did his homework on that also as the FOP prioritized those grievances and it’s already gone to arbitration. Not only that, it resulted in that hack Alyson Johnson and a couple sergeants getting bounced from that unit.
I concur with the sentiment of many… I’d love to see a class action filed against the city, Lightfoot and every sworn and non-sworn who carried the water for the administration and put counties coppers through hell, resulting in forcing many to make decisions that they shouldn’t have.

In response to the 002nd District Officer who passed, he was a good man that I had the pleasure to briefly work with. The other concerning part was that he was released to the family without an M.E. investigation. I can’t remember any time that a person in their 50s was found deceased with no autopsy. Even when a person was found deceased and had a history of drug use, with a needle in the arm at the time of death, the M.E. investigated.
This was beyond covering up for the agenda. Despicable and criminal.
I remember Glen being challenged by a Lt in 018 over activity she wanted to see at checkoff. When he presented her with goose eggs she ordered him to write a To-From why? He calmly looked at her and said “oh, you wanna get in the game? I’ll put ya in the game”. Then he put her on blast in his T/F/S right to the DC. There was no such harassment by her after that. Yes, I would be happy to provide to a harmed officer’s attorney everything I’ve accumulated in respect to the blatantly biased treatment CPD officers received in respect to the Religious Exemption process.
Of particular interest is I’ve acquired both the names of those individuals tasked with reviewing and approving or rejecting exemption requests as well as their generic “one size fits all” template used to process those requests. Perhaps punitive damages can be sought taking these things into account, but that decision would obviously be left to people much smarter than me.

That was in the beginning, Groot eventually gave a final deadline and everyone had to get the jab or else. Groot and her CPD Minions forced the jab on everyone, and the minions were promoted to Chief and Deputy Chief prior to Groot leaving office.

On September 9, 2021, the Biden-Harris administration announced a COVID-19 Action Plan requiring sweeping vaccine mandates for federal workers and contractors, employers with one-hundred or more employees, and healthcare settings that receive Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement (including nursing homes). They were getting money from Pharma companies and private insurance companies.
