When federal officials take action of any kind, questions about the relative wisdom of said action should come second.
Indeed, a more fundamental question precedes it: Namely, where did the federal government get the power in the first place?

Eric Burlison of Missouri and Lauren Boebert of Colorado introduced legislation that would abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Times also reported that Burlison will introduce legislation that would repeal the 1934 National Firearms Act, which, though much amended, served as the basis for a 1986 federal ban on the possession of most machine guns by private citizens.

If both disappeared tomorrow, the country would be far better off.

It’s too bad and telling that the ethical rank and file FBI agents have not spoken out about what’s been going on in the Bureau. There have been many instances but what really stands out is when Agents raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. The Agent’s knew at that time what they were doing was illegal. Did any step back and say, I cannot do that? Oh there's plenty more but maybe files will be released after the new administration gets in.
Any 3 letter federal police is a fucking joke. I've seen videos of some of those strokes and everything from the way they speak to the way they dress and act is a fucking disgrace.

The rank and file is just as bad as the rest of the bosses. I haven't heard 1 word outta any agents about this currupt regime. Disband them all.
Get rid of the FBI? Who is going to handle counter terrorism? Interstate crimes? National and international cyber crimes, including child trafficking? Track and disrupt foreign intelligence agents? All you read on this site is how screwed up CPD is, from top to bottom. I don't think CPD can take on any of that stuff, much less some small town force.
Question from a non-cop: How many hours per year are you paid to train at the range? The City is responsible for the impact of every round you fire on duty... including the ones that miss the bad guy. It's a risk management question.
What about 6AM raid. With SWAT teams for an ex presidents house knowing he was not there and it was guarded by secret service. Not to mention that the government had been there previously and Trump put a lock on the door that they requested

I really want the MAGA/Conservatives to put up or shut up on the 2nd Amendment. I’m sick of reading tweets about so in so “being strong on 2nd Amendment” when legislatively, we have seen absolutely nothing positive happen. The only restoration in rights has come from the courts. To hell with Trump for the post Las Vegas bump stock banned (since rejected by the courts if I recall) and to hell with Biden for the pistol brace ban (definitely repealed, so I guess I’m no longer a criminal for owning a piece of plastic). Repeal the NFA. Even fun hating Europeans can buy suppressors for their hunting rifle within it submitted to their government’s ATF cavity search.
Unless a cop is a “gun guy” and can afford to practice on their own dime, there is no training or practice beyond the initial training to get them qualified. Why? It is cheaper to bury a cop than it is to adequately train them for the job they are asked to do.
How many child trafficking rings have they busted in the last 4yrs? How many jihadi terrorists have they caught? How many illegals did they bust for fraud and theft of federal aid? How many serial killers have caught in the last 4 yrs? They did arrest people for protesting at the capitol. They raided DJT's home. They locked up a 70yr old woman for praying outside an abortion clinic. They shot a wheelchair bound 70yr old man for making online threats against the old senile fool in the WH. They arrested Douglas Mackey for posting a humorous meme making fun of old witch Clinton. They went after parents who dared to show up at their local school board meetings and speak out against these insane progressive nuts and their academic policies. They are nothing more than a praetorian guard for the deep state bureaucrats at this point so no, they serve no purpose for the taxpayers.
